Just saw the commercial... I'm sorry BJ, but that kid isn't man enough to play a good convincing Bond. Maybe in a decade when he loses that babyface and stops being a metrosexual, MAYBE he'll be right for Bond. But no. No. No. No. No. No... NO. If Craig were to leave soon, I'd rather have Sam Worthington in the role, and I have yet to see a clip of that guy! And he looks much more like a man who can handle himself unlike Cavill who looks like he would cry the instant someone messes his hair out of place.
how ridiculous will that be having the 7th Bond look 20 years younger than the 6th?
It's no surprise that he does look 20 years younger than Craig, cuz, you know, he is 15 years younger. So given how young Cavill is, he's most likely to become the 8th actor rather than the 7th. WAY WAY WAY too young for Bond.

That BJ is mad wanting some tall, dashing, handsome actor as James Bond.

Well Craig certainly fits the bill, outside of DCINB that is. My issues with Cavill isn't that he's a "tall, dashing, handsome actor" like what your post tries to make it seem, it's that he's way too young and he looks like another bland Brosnan metrosexual instead of cool and manly like Connery, Moore, Dalton and Craig. Even Katied of all people agrees. Even the male model Lazenby looks more like a man than Cavill, but maybe that's an unfair comparison since he was 30 years old in the role. Cavill doesn't seem different than the rest of his generation who are mostly metrosexuals tools showing more concern with their looks than women do. As I said, maybe in a few years when he grows up and gets out of that phase he'll be suitable for Bond. But for now, he's seems no different than Abercrombie & Fitch.

As I said before:even(given a few years)Cavill'll still be WAY too young for the role when that happens. It'd be like a reverse Dorian Gray thing. It's bizarre.

The amazing thing will be if they can get a happy medium between wet behind the ears(Cavill)and too old for the role(Owen..who will be closer to 50 when the time comes)and popular, to say nothing of associated with not one but TWO movie franchises(Bruiser Bale.... i kid :P )

Cavill as Bond is a bit of a no-brainer. He is the sort of person that Cubby would have chosen. He looks great in the Tudors.

I'm not sure why you are associating Connery, Moore, Dalton and Craig together. Surely Craig with his scruffy Bond is the opposite of tall, handsome dashing actors such Connery, Moore and Dalton, and others such as Brosnan and Cavill.

I'm not sure what you mean by the term "metrosexual". Do you mean handsome? Or someone who takes pride in their appearance? Daniel Craig is surely a metrosexual with his bodybuilding, shaven chest, fake tan, love of art, the fact that he seems to be a fashion victim.......

Because he's handsome and manly, what else? He along with the rest make Cavill look like a pretty boy and when I think of Bond, I don't think of him as that.

I recall it was the tabloids that brought up such stuff during the anti-Craig days and we know how reliable they are. A man can show concern for his looks naturally of course, everyone's gotta look formal right? But what separates them from metrosexuals is that the latter shows far more concern for their looks than the typical male, spending a huge sum of money on so many products for hair, skin, nails, ect ect. Heck, isn't Brosnan a spokesman for L'Oreal? Funny how BJ acts appalled at Craig playing a bisexual but then raves about Cavill in an ad that screams homosexual. :P

It really makes me laugh when other candidates are pounced on by Craig fundamentalists. Henry Cavill dwarfs Jonathan Rhys - Meyers in The Tudors and Rhys - Meyers has been linked to Bond in the past. He plays an unpredictable, slightly wild character in the show and uses this quality very well. He's not a pretty boy , just a tall, handsome actor who makes DC look like a man asking for spare change on a street corner.

Little Daniel Craig, in his shoe - lifts and pancake make - up, is hardly an imposing 007 to me.

So I take it DCINB mostly supports pretty boy Cavill for the role? To each their own. I think Worthington would make a far far better candidate as the seventh James Bond than Cavill.

It's incredible that they can now produce cosmetics from pancakes. What will they think of next.

Based on what little I've seen of them both, I tend to agree.

Who would be the best candidate from O'Lachlan (or whatver he is called!), Cavill and Worthington?

In all seriousness, you guys must find it pretty bizarre that there are so many people out there liking Craig as Bond, especially hardcore Bond fans on other forums, and critics giving Craig the huge thumbs up, comparing him to Connery, etc.

This is not a dig at you lot either, believe it or not..... 8)

I don't go by what "hardcore" Bond fans think, since they seem to think that being "hardcore" fans and liking all the movies gives them some sort of cache.Yeah right. And they think it's OK to rubbish what they call n00b fans dewches :?

It doesn't bother me. I know how many friends have departed from such places in the wake of The Craig, leaving the rest to it, including some flip-floppers who were suggesting Danny Boy was quite unsuitable not long before he was cast (Yes, that's you Dr Shatterhand of the Botanical Garden and a certain Cbn honcho) and then, golly-gosh, fell sharply into line. I have the Connery films on DVD and I salute anyone who compares him to Craig. What an imagination! I'm reminded of Craig Ferguson's dismissal of Daniel Craig as looking like an 'overwaxed gay Dolphin' and not having enough body-hair to ever be taken seriously as 007. Anyway, what was the question again?

I was addressing the decent, civilised, intelligent posters on here with that comment, which unfortunately doesn't include you, who I have absolutely zero respect for. You give the decent anti-Craigers on here a bad name.

Likewise, there is a certain Ms. flip-flopper on this forum who worshipped the ground Craig walked on, saw the movie 11 times at the cinema, was drooling over him constantly at MI6, and now she acts as though she hated him all her life on here.

There are people comparing Craig to Connery? Who are these people? In all seriousness, please tell me where they are as they obviously need some sort of medical help.

It disturbs me that there are fans out there that think they are better than others, since someone mentioned the "hardcore" fans I had to make that comment.

As for flip floppers, I don't have s**t on Thrice ....who has flip flopped more times than I can almost count(and who will probably flip flop several more times before QOS comes out :?)
