Capt. Sir Dominic Flandry wrote:I posted my review on MI6.co.uk and posters said: "Is that supposed to be funny", "go and post on DanielCraigisnotbond "( Captain Nash I believe); and even Nic Nac the moderator attacked me.

They calmed down a bit after their initial response, to be fair.
To be fair, your review wasn't much of a review but more of a poor attempt at being humorous commentary, never getting to the point but only exagerrating things such as "they went with a 53 year-old Daniel Craig" and so on. There wouldn't have been such a backlash if you would have just cut the bull**** and get to the point.

Thanks for the friendly insight.

It's funny, but when I posted my review on Cbn I got a friendly 'Fair enough mate' response from a mod (called 'Jim' I think) and everyone was civil, going on indeed to discuss Roger De Courcey and Nookie the Bear in a lighthearted manner. On MI6 it's toys straight out of the pram. How dare someone come on here and not worship at the Temple of Craig! Is this review supposed to be funny? etc, etc. MI6 is just full of comedy geniuses isn't it? You'd have to travel a long way to find such a bunch of po-faced muppets but anyway...

i've only been here a day, and this is the only (established) thread I've skimmed from beginning to end

what I dont get is - if this other site is so bad why are people here going on about it so much; one or 2 in particular

if its as bad as you say just drop the site altogether

perhaps i'm missing something :? :?

Personally, if I was a mod (which I am, but only on the Dalton forum), this thread would have been locked a long time ago. It seems to be little more than a slanging match between 2 members which could just as easily be done by PM or e-mail.

I don't see why the thread should be locked, as it it still discussing the MI6/Craignotbond relationship as started by skywalker. Not sure what the other two think (Admin and Blowfeld). But you are probably right.

Admittedly Katie and Stocks banter was a bit tiresome, but that has ended now hopefully and they have got it out of their system.

Eh, if Katied was willing to acknowledge certain points that she blatantly ignored from Dcbn and myself (because of her own arrogance) it probably wound have ended a few pages ago. But instead she's like Hillary Clinton, she won't give up no matter how bad she makes herself look. So when she decides not to quit bantering, I simply decide to take a piss on the whole thing as a way of acknowledging how rediculous it is.

Now wait for katied to do her "uh, right. (times 50)" routine.

Indeed. And as I have pointed out,I was far from the only person over at MI6 making certain things(Thrice)worse.

Responding to a few posts...

Joe,I don't post at MI6 anymore. And am much better for it *shrug*

Kris:It is a slanging match, fair enough.Mature?no. Speaking of taking two to tango...

I see that I have received warnings. I'm willing to drop this, but don't get the impression that I regret anything I said and done here. I'm fully proud of what I've done. :)

*drops it*

Now, back to all things MI6.

But then Katie would not have anywhere on this forum to post.

I'm kidding. There just seems to be so much anger and I keep looking for the reasons on both sites and can't find it.

I realize that the original site that started *this* forum was a really negative site but the forum seems to have recovered from that. And MI6 is popular for many reasons.

Seems that the people that get angry about either site have taken something(s) personal. But I don't think the internet is supposed to be *that* personal.

The thread on mi6 about this site has a lot of posts about how people used to like Katie until she started posting bad stuff here.

It all seems confusing.

I think the anger has subsided now, and we've got a bit bored. Anyway, we have always hated CommanderBond.net more anyway!

It's one of those sites that I cannot read. The forum in particular is impossible to read imo.
At least this forum is easy to navigate, it reminds me of somewhere else...oh I know.

We gather every summer. I took this snap at CNB's country HQ last year. If you look closely you'll see BJMDDs on the guitar and Skywalker on the fiddle.

Confession time:I post over at Commander Bond.I'm neutral,as far as liking it goes. It's a nice board,I do NOT get the vibe of there being a pecking order or an "in group" over there unlike other places I could name *cough*
