In China box office news, No Time to Die opened with only $8.18 million on Friday, a disappointing figure that’s 45% less than the opening day of Spectre back in late 2015. They expect $28.2 million this weekend and are hoping for $68 million total there. They thought China would be a windfall? Far from it and domestically here it will drop to only $7.8 million it looks like this weekend.
Insider.com's Jason Guerrasio: Call me old fashioned, but I enjoy my Bond movies where the action is thrilling but light. I don't need to know that every evil henchman gets out unscathed, but I do cringe when little kids are in the mix. I get that with "No Time to Die" they were really trying to take things to the next level for Craig's exit from the franchise, but for me, the car chase scene was a disappointing one. For a movie that had some really impressive action, it just wasn't necessary to add that element. So, keeper of the James Bond flame, producer Barbara Broccoli, I really don't care who the next Bond will be. You and your family seem to not have a problem picking them over the decades. But please let's make "Not Time to Die" the first and last time we get kids involved in the action surrounding Bond. https://www.insider.com/james-bond-no-t ... ck-2021-10

The Bond actress said: “It’s very difficult also because of the audience. I think the audience is very divided. Not only have fans been split on the decision to kill 007 off, but others feel that in more recent years the character has been stepping further and further away from Ian Fleming’s original idea into something more politically correct. Naturally, some fans are pleased with this but others are not."

Hello...Hello...Is there anybody out there?
Of course Irony. This is what Broccoli will be excited about? Today it was announced that a new collection of James Bond stories are going to hit shelves in the coming years. In these new adventures, a new collection of 00 agents are going to be introduced to the world - and it's all because Bond himself has "gone missing". Ian Fleming's official Facebook account today revealed a new book trilogy will detail the first stories in the James Bond literary universe without the titular hero. 007 himself has disappeared - "presumably captured - or even killed" - but it isn't about him anymore. It's all about a new collection of new super spies. Fleming's account wrote: "James Bond is missing. Meet the new Double O agents in the #DoubleO trilogy by Kim Sherwood, a new series that will blow the world of Ian Fleming's James Bond wide open." The trilogy will kick off with the first novel, Double O. The two sequels have not yet been given titles. https://www.express.co.uk/entertainment ... -die-books
YES! Finally! that's exactly what we need! to "blow the world of Ian Fleming wide open!" Hasn't the poor man's grave been micturated upon enough?! Bondless Bond novels? Why?
This isn't extended universe, because Bond is purposely "missing presumed dead."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPnfuczOWb8 Dorothy summed up Broccolli's thoughts I have a feeling we shall never see another proper Bond film again We are headed into unchartered waters with this franchise in the future
It doesn't help when Babbzy repeats the line about the two questions they ask before every Bond film being "What emotional journey are we going to take Bond on?" and "What are people going to be scared of in two years time (or, by the time the film is released, three years ago)?"
Yes, that's what people go to see Bond films for. "The great thing about TMWTGG is the way the plot reflected the 1970s energy crisis" said no-one, ever.

I just watched back to back Flint movies again from 1966 and 1967. In Our Man Flint, he saved his "5" girlfriends at the end from the exploding island and then jumped off it to avoid being blown up. He had sense to jump off, unlike Cr-egg's Bond, and save himself........Internet review: Although Our Man Flint—Coburn’s very first starring role—was made for only three million dollars, and some of the special effects are kind of cheesy by today’s extravagant standards (not to mention a less-than-stellar leading lady), the movie—which grossed around $16 million at the box office, and spawned one somewhat less tight sequel—is still entertaining and fun after all these years.......another internet review: Although there were only two Derek Flint films (perhaps Coburn, made a star by the first Flint movie, didn’t wish to be typecast?), they are rather better works. Indeed, the first entry, Our Man Flint, is good enough to stand with the best James Bond had to offer. It might arguably rank a bit below Goldfinger or From Russia with Love, but I’d certainly put it over Thunderball or You Only Live Twice or Diamonds are Forever.
Cr-egg: 'When I started as Bond on Casino Royale, one of the early discussions I had with Barbara [Broccolli] and Michael [G. Wilson] was that I would like to be killed off when I am finished.' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/a ... S-ago.html
Two days ago here in New York City Cr-egg is pushing an empty baby carriage with untied shoelaces to boot. It would be very interesting if I ever happened to see him walking around in NYC, as I would recognize him before most people here, who have no clue who he is.
What could go wromg here?! https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-59122546 I was wondeing what the Flemimg Estate thought of the ending of NTTD. I guess their fine with it. The general deconstrction of our heroes is awful.
