C'mon, it will be early Spring 2016 before the film makers (who ever they will be) even think about the next Bond film.

Strangely, did anyone else notice recently that Mendes has started complaining that he wasn't given enough time on making SP?
This article about the making of the film is quite interesting, especially page 2. It suggests Mendes was close to walking away a couple of times.

Image This weekend the whale throws more "water" on ECH-TRE, as it will "sink" lower at the box office as SW gears up the following week to bury it for good :!: :yay: Whoever thought that The Martian, with it's domestic $221,110,305 at the box office, would ever top Broccoli's reincarnation here? :happy spin: Broccoli and sibling MGW currently: :fight:

Image Daniel Craig will go from Bond to Iago next fall when he stars opposite David Oyelowo in an Off Broadway production of “Othello,” to be directed by Tony winner Sam Gold. “Othello” will play at New York Theater Workshop in fall 2016. There are no films for Cr-egg anywhere to be found. It's obvious no studio wants him, outside of the "loin-o-cologist" at EON.

If something like that Audrey II-esque "Oh s#!t!" from Hinx before his demise was done in the non-Craig Bond films, I'm sure it would have got flak for being too silly/unnecessary.

ECH-TRE is approaching it's worldwide finalization at the box office. Will the bean counters at MGM and SONY be happy? Doubtful. SW mania takes over for the next 3 months starting next week and will suck up most of the box office oxygen for sure. As Cr-egg preps for Othello in NYC next year in some obscure theatre, what will he do to occupy his time with NOTHING else on his work calendar? Broccoli might have some ideas of her own. Image

When I lived in the States, ratings information for cable channels was really difficult to find. It was easy to find ratings figures for the main broadcast networks, but cable ratings were a closely guarded secret. There was a top 25, and that was it. So unless things have changed, we wouldn't even know unless it was in the same ratings bracket as things like Monday Night Football.

There is a lot of 'buzz' in the USA media about the late night return of the king of late night comedy. I am sure there will be sites like zap2it.com that will report on it's success after January 1. I am very curious to see how well it does.

But will they still be reporting on it in, say, March? People will probably tune in out of curiosity during the first week or two, but there's usually a drop-off after that.

We shall see. Johnny has a loyal following of people over 40 who will watch him nightly 7 nights a week. It will be on every single night here at 11:00pm. I wonder if any millennials will be interested in watching him vs. Colbert/Kimmel/Fallon? Zap2it.com reports the late night tv ratings every day and Johnny will be on at that time and I suspect ratings comparisons will be intriguing. Can you imagine if his show actually puts a nightly dent in the 3 big network ratings, especially that crumb Colbert, who is in "4th" place now, behind Seth Meyers, who is on 1 hour later than him :!: It's quite embarrassing for CBS and Les Mooves :!: :happy spin:

I just looked at Zap2It and they do indeed have weekly late night ratings, but the most recent one has Colbert with a 2.22 rating and Myers with 1.65.

I could have told WB in to the heart of the sea would tank. It's like making a big dollar western , got a few of those coming too. It's interesting real history but not to today's audience

I don't think they were quite that high. In the ratings I saw, the cable late night shows were all below 1m, with the exception of Adult Swim. Zap2It says that Colbert's ratings are slightly (2%) above what Letterman's were in the same slot. There was an initial ratings bump from people tuning in to see the new host, but that's more or less evaporated now.

I though total ratings were a million plus for Colbert and Stewart with the key demo being under that but I haven't looked it up . The story I using as a base line was about the daily show and it was talking about 1.8 million average viewers for the debut of Noah ,

I tried doing a search for recent data but the all mention percentage of this and that then complain Noah is not as good as Stewart . I'm not sure what the average total audience is

I have to admit, I don't quite understand these figures. I thought that, say, 1.1 meant 1.1 million viewers, but I think it's a bit more complicated than that.

I'm not sure either. Zap2it had a average of half a million for the daily show recently, I found a 2013 story with Stewart and Colbert supposedly in the millions at least once Colbert report was suppose to of beaten Leno
