Whats all this about Bond or the villian being gay.

Come on do you really think the film makers would introduce this element into the Bond films.

It would be commercial suicide!

As a Bond fan it's hard not to be. I'm certainly hoping for an improvement on CR, where I felt Craig was far too raw and uncouth. The young Bond angle was also an area that I felt EON got wrong due to the aged look of DC. There are other issues too, but I could be here all night.

I concur with you Skywalker, i am looking forward to the film which i do hope is a more traditional Bond film. Daniel i am afraid i can not except as Bond no matter what PR machine he has trying to tell us he is. But you can polish a turd and make a reasonable film despite the lead being miscast.

I hope it is not true

Bond in the last film was emasculated enough having Vesper dress him and basicly teach him ettiquette. Bond is already schooled in taste he does not need feminising anymore

No,I don't have Cinemax,and I own CR on DVD anyways so don't feel any need to watch it on cable.

The speculation about Forster's sexuality seems to be limited to MI6-I've nicknamed it The National Enquirer of Bond messageboards.

I suspect if they did, it would be in the form of innuendo, like the line in CR about Bond taking care of his body ("Such a waste"), Wint & Kidd's dialogue, or Rosa Klebb's flirtation with Tatiana in FRWL. I think they would be well advised to steer clear of it for the opposite reason than what everyone else has stated. Rather than alienating Middle America, I think they should worry more about what the gay audience would think about gay characters always being villainous in Bond's world. After all, attitudes have changed a bit since the novel of Goldfinger was written, back in the days when an author could get away with having Bond "cure" Pussy Galore of her lesbianism.

I was IM-ing with someone the other day and said IMO that if Goldfinger had been made in 2008,Pussy Galore would have been more obviously a lesbian.

Perhaps that's because there's the thread on MI6 about Marc Forster dating a Bond girl?

Do we have anything to support Forster being gay anyway? The only time I saw people suspect him of being gay was when a couple of homophobs pointed out that Forster was wearing a scarf.

Was not a reference to members MI6, but a different place.

The reason that I mention the post count thing is that it DOES matter to people over there.The same with how long people been there.You can't stand to see MI6 dissed in any way shape or form.

Talk about drinking the kool-aid.

Just accept that some people think MI6 is a hive of douchery(that's me being nice..)and it'll be fine.
