I certainly don't disagree that Sony's phones are junk, but Craig needs to not pretend anything but an xperia was ever going to be featured in a movie produced and backed by Sony, no matter how crap they are.

I had no idea a sequel to the maze runner was out. I thought the first movie was a lot like the divergent series

.............The Heineken spot will be launched mobile-first via Facebook, and will be shown on TV and cinema screens worldwide 24 hours later. Heineken is the only Spectre partner who has created a television commercial starring Daniel Craig. Heineken's "The Chase" uses Spectre cinematographers and stuntmen to ensure the action sequences are authentically Bond. The spot features a young woman, Zara, who inadvertently becomes involved in a high-speed boat chase where she helps the world's MOST INFAMOUS spy save the day. Additionally, for its digital Spectre campaign, Heineken will once again push the boundaries of modern technology, by taking the world's first ever SELFIE from space. For the "Spyfie" moment, Heineken has partnered with Urthecast to take ultra HD imagery using its camera on the Deimos satellite, currently in orbit more than 350 miles above the Earth's surface. Via a relay of technology, Heineken will take a SELFIE photograph of lucky attendees specially recruited from around the world, who will also take part of an exclusive Spectre screening event in a secret location in early November. The "Spyfie" content will be bespoke for each attendee of the top secret experiential event, and will be sent to their mobile devices for use on social media. Ralph Rijks, Senior Vice President of Marketing at HEINEKEN USA said, "In celebration of a partnership spanning 18 years, our Spectre campaign is our most innovative ever. The very nature of the Bond film franchise gives us opportunities to take a cutting-edge and pioneering approach that both excites and adds real value to the film fan's experience. By featuring Daniel Craig in our television spot and activating 'Spyfie', once again we will give fans 21+, access to the world of James Bond."
To further heighten anticipation ahead of the movie's release, an estimated half a billion limited edition Heineken and Heineken Light bottles and packaging launch nationwide today, featuring the James Bond Spectre logo. The new Bond-themed bottles also include a unique scan-able Logo and codes on each, unlocking free movie tickets in partnership with Fandango (1 in 7 wins), as well as original Spectre content. Using any mobile device, visit www.Heineken.com and scan the front of any Heineken Bond limited edition packaging to determine winners.Heineken's association with the James Bond film franchise dates back to 1997's "Tomorrow Never Dies", with Spectre being the seventh consecutive film in the partnership.

Wow,they really do everything they can think of to make the hype big don't they?
Oddjob's hat...
The parachute thing...newest MI movie?
Well, the cinematography is beautiful that's what I can say for this commercial...
But out of "Bond like" commercials I like the one for the Erste Bank with a man that actually looks like Bond. At least far more than Craig.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
This Heineken commercial reflects how this franchise is bankrupt of ideas but the commercial is also kind of creepy. First of all, it's so obvious that they just cobbled together a pastiche of the boat chase in Live and Let Die, inserted with people doing double takes like in the other Moore Bond films. There's something demeaning about having the late Herve Villechaize inserted in there, exploiting him in some way, and yet it's just a portrait shot as if they're trying to be politically correct not to show his full stature. The homage to Odd Job's bowler hat is extremely corny. So all these elements were the very things that were denounced as over-the-top in the past, but the Craigy fan boys are probably having orgasms over this commercial. Craig as Bond still looks gay to me, and he doesn't look at ease in a suit. The girl on the boat actually gets more screen time than him. It's really about her, and Craig's Bond takes a back seat as if he's emasculated. This PC-infested society will be adoring this approach as usual. Too bad the powers-that-be, along with Craig, didn't go all the way and stuff his Bond in drag as homage to all drag queens. They've done it before, presenting Craig's Bond as a woman, that is, in a Bondian tie-in commercial in 2011, so I don't see why they can't go all out and just be done with it. Sam Mendes is so obviously eager to present him as a tortured gay man, and we saw suggestions of that in Skyfall. Yes, Bond in drag on a speeding motorboat! That would've been the ideal image for this rebooted franchise.shaken not stirred wrote:Oh god, what the hell is that s**t, oh wait... Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Interesting, much of what's said in this article about the new muppet series can be applied to the current state of the Bond films. Btw, who are the media sources that are trashing Bond lately? So far, for Spectre, I'm starting to see the same tone from the media, as in the previous Craig films, where it's nothing but the adoring adulation. Can you please provide links? I'm curious to see these articles.Kristatos wrote:Looks like it's not only Bond that's being trashed: http://www.theguardian.com/culture/2015 ... review-abc

I was referring to the Craig films' trashing of Bond's legacy, just as this new series apparently trashes everything that made the Muppets so beloved.Atticus wrote:Interesting, much of what's said in this article about the new muppet series can be applied to the current state of the Bond films. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
We in Croatia are not that politically correct(it was vpted in general gay marriage should not be allowed etc.) and the general reaction to Mendes' statement about Bond being more feminine was sth along lines:"The only other thing they could do now is to make him sit down while peeing and read Vogue while doing it."
