And plus if movie doesn't go well Craig might as well use that as a reason why he should back out since he said how he finds playing Bond to be "boring"...but then again Babs would do anything to keep him so I don't what to think really...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I once read a comment on imdb:"Here is a suggestion. Let's make Barbara Broccoli the next Bond villain because she is far more dangerous for James Bond than Silva."
that's true. Somehow I have a sence this will be Craig's last. Seriously, from what could have been read from the script the comments are that the relationship between Craig and villain is completely forced(just because we need something emotional yet again) and a third act seems to be a mess. I don't think they could improve much especially during the filming.
And plus if movie doesn't go well Craig might as well use that as a reason why he should back out since he said how he finds playing Bond to be "boring"...but then again Babs would do anything to keep him so I don't what to think really...

I am waiting for Eon to choose a female lead villain in their next film. I think Broccoli wants to further emasculate 'her' Bond creation at the hands of an evil woman. Maybe the green veggy can be cast as Rosa Klebb for the next film as a cameo?

We already had female villain-Elektra King. But that didn't emasculate Bond. What emasculated Bond for me was all that soapy opera dialogue in CR.Also "I have no idea what an honest job is." Is this coming from a mouth of a secret agent?? No,seriously...."You put your shield back on..." bla bla bla...*throwing up* I heard better dialogue in Turkish soap operas...I read yesterday a comment how whoever wrote that "Can not remember the time when she/he last saw a better chemistry than between Craig and Eva Green.."bjmdds wrote:I am waiting for Eon to choose a female lead villain in their next film. omg really?
As for Babs having a cameo-it's enough for me to listen what stupid things she is saying in interviews...

BJ, I think Babs will want to be another Famke Janssen... just because that way she'll get to have risqué scenes with her crush, the Craigster.

As for Babs having a cameo-it's enough for me to listen what stupid things she is saying in interviews...I won't even get started on how that woman DESTROYED the character of Vesper Lynd with her acting. She was SO d**n wrong for the part and Vesper that was a BADASS in the book, was reduced to a stupid, babbling little girl in the movie. She did NOT look like Vesper at bloody ALL. And I won't even get into the dresses they picked for her either.
BUT...the chemistry part??![]()
![]()
![]()
Craig has chemistry with NO ONE because he is as expressive and emoting as an ARTICHOKE. The only one he had chemistry with is his wife (who is now cheating on him and leaving him home alone) because well...they were having an affair at the time they were acting together. And with EVA GREEN who was (poor woman) SO miscast in that part, it was even worse than normal. ALSO, she looked like HIS CHILD. Cause Craig looks SO old and she had this "not grown woman" aspect to her, despite the clothes they chose to make her look older, that it was all just terribly creepy.
BJ, I think Babs will want to be another Famke Janssen... just because that way she'll get to have risqué scenes with her crush, the Craigster.
I very much agree that Eva Green didn't make a good Vesper. Now,I am not really blaming her,the character of Vesper was never fleshed out(in the movie),there wasn't devolpement and everything about her and the romance was done VERY POORLY. The dresses were nice but come on-in one dress she has breasts like these, then in another they are 10 times bigger. During one night...and the make up doesn't do her any justice either.for example we learn in one sentence at the end that organisation held her boyfriend(why?we never find out) and that leaves no impression at all. Everything was just done so poorly...
As for the chemistry...there isn't one. Its actually a mystery how you can find Vesper near the top or even at the top of every Bond girl lists...She left no impression on me what-so-ever. If she was supposed to be a woman Bond really falls for then we should as well. I could see why Bond fell for Tracy. Dianna Rigg gave a good performance. She oozed with lovelyness. Really she did.
But you can really read some stuff that Craigsters write that make NO SENSE.I read how Brosnan and Marceau didn't have any chemistry(maybe I halucinate or something but the screen cracked with energy every time these two were together).
My mum and I watched TWINE together and when that love scene came my mum asked:"Did these two hook up in real life?"
But the comment that topped it all? Someone wrote how Elektra King was poorly written character, with no depth and personality and that Sophie Marceau horrendously acted. No really...
Ih and yeah I am sure Babs has a wish to be Xenia Onatopp 2.0 but unlucky for her she made Bond "serious" and "realistic" so a woman who kills with thighs and has orgasm when she kills isn't exactly an option anymore. Unless Babs says thats "totally realistic" and most of all is "back to Fleming" and says there actually is Xenia Onatopp in one of the novels...

Rose Byrne was originally up for the role of Vesper - wonder if that had anything to do with her being cast in Spy?

I heard that Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron were offered the role. I don't think Charlize would have been a good choice but Angelina fits by looks...I don't know how good sje would have been in a role..

She wants WB to lock him in for the next 15 years as Bond
15 years of Cavill, not thanks. The series would fall back on tired box ticking cliches like it did under Brosnan's run. I don't care about the hair colour of Bonds hair, so long is it's isn't dyed some ridiculous colour. Having an actor who fits the mould isn't enough for me. Cavill needs to age some to fit the look, and even then he might lack the other qualities, that he lacks now. He would be a step up from Craig, but that isn't enough.
I am not bitter about Craig's casting, I simply don't like what is being offered as Bond. I am going to the cinema to see Bond this year, but it will be the VUE Cinema Double Bill of TLD/LTK on the 28th.

I had to google Rupert Friend. There is something a little unconventional about his look, but he could still work. I did come across this image:

Bond? I guess so. Friend is 33 now, Dalton and Moore were both past 40 when they were cast, so Friend is a possibility.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
This is what I hate about Hollywood. Jurassic world, big d**n opening, but it's not enough they have to spin it.
$82-83 million Friday, except some of that is Thursday early showings.
It is talked about as biggest in history, except who's history? It is not the biggest Friday opening in history, it will not be the biggest opening in June. It will only be ht biggest weekend in "history" if it passes $210 million.
It is the biggest in Universal studio history, and if you take out Thursday counting Friday only it is the biggest Friday. But only if we forget about ticket inflation.
I wish they would talk about ticket numbers only and stop the BS! But judging from the stories out there the press is all to willing to be a part of the PR team.
Bond did they same type of crap counting a charity early showing in their opening weekend numbers. I think it was QOS.
I understand why they do this, perception perceived perception achieved PR management theory, but why if McDonald's has to lay out all the details of a meal how can it be legal for Hollywood to spin such bs. especially with the goal of fleecing people. Electronics and food industries would be immateriality condemned. I think it is the nature of the business and fame, everyone wants to be a part of it and is willing to ignore the BS.

LOL. Daltonite Toothpaste, The WHO? Pam Bouvier and Ale, is me. As you can see from my username Alessandra (and the short is Ale) and Pam Bouvier under it. That's the honor I have had on this great forum, I've been named after my favorite Bond girl together with Honey Ryder.
I do ignore everything that's anti Cavill, but I do know who people are LOL
Veronica, it's all about not knowing what chemistry is, quite clearly. What do you think someone who says Brosnan and Sophie Marceau had no chemistry knows about it? LOL, clearly nothing.
Brosnan had great chemistry with every single partner he was given, but that's because he is what's called "an actors' actor". He makes the person acting opposite him shine and he plays his role effortlessly. You feel like you're looking at someone being themselves. An actors' actor does the opposite of a character actor, that focuses everything on themselves and on their own mannerism. Which is what Craig does, because he is a character actor. Problem is, you can't cast a character actor as a leading man that is supposed to be appealing for a wide audience and that is all about being suave, classy and charming while also being the best spy in the world. You always KNOW you are looking at someone who is acting (and I will add acting very wooden and inexpressive, but that's personal opinion) if you look at a character actor in a leading man role. That's the basic mistake with casting Craig or anyone like him.
Bond is someone that must always be played by an actors' actor.
There's not only an evident problem of not responding to physical features that are required, but a basic "type of actor" problem with Craig. Naturally, all others who were cast in the role did not have this problem, and that's why they all made good Bonds, as opposed to him. (maybe with the exception of Lazenby, though I feel like the set of circumstances there was more relevant than the acting and actor themselves).
As far as Vesper, I don't know if you read Casino Royale, but if you did, you will see how the physical features themselves aren't those Eva Green had for starters (and sorry but absolutely not Angelina Jolie either) and on top of it, the TYPE of woman she is and her personality in the book are NOTHING like what we saw on screen.

Don't forget about the physical description of Bond In Casino Royale. Honestly EON got most of the casting wrong before the script comes in.
"Those were the days when we still associated Bond with suave, old school actors such as Sean Connery and Roger Moore,"
"Daniel didn't have a hint of suave about him," - Patsy Palmer
