Apparently acting like a dirty old man is appropriate behaviour for powerful women in Hollywood today.

The inappropriate way Barbara treated Daniel at the Skyfall PR event was reminiscent of the old Hollywood where men used their positions to force females in the industry in compromising positions.

If Cubby had talked about a female lead the way Barbara did of Daniel it would have drawn a lot of attention and criticism.

The private behaviour of Sony executives I can not fathom how they remain a functioning studio. I can't see how any actor could trust them with even the most basic information, besides the data breach almost all of the stars they had a professional relationship with over the past rights years were insulted in a very personal way and savaged by heads of the company.

How can these reboot happy idiots remain in business?

Well it remains to be seen if they remain in business. Three quarters of Hollywood people don't trust them at ALL at the moment, and with what happened with the Jobs movie, per emails, they're not gonna get A list directors and actors for a while. Add the personal insults to everyone and their mother, and you get the picture.
And there's no way Pascal retains her job, no matter what they say right now.

They are also doing worse by trying to intimidate this dude who posted the emails on his Twitter. There are two factors here 1) those emails ARE NOT private, they are CORPORATE emails and 2) EMAILS ARE NOT COPYRIGHTED... and most of them have been already published, so this dude is merely re-publishing stuff. And by threatening Twitter they have put out an ACTUAL free speech issue, as opposed to making a business choice to not release a movie that they did not release BECAUSE IT POLLED AWFULLY and not because of any North Korean connection. That was just an excuse.

So, I'm here sitting, having a nice drink and refreshments, and waiting to see what's next, cause it's gonna be good for us and Bond, and bad for Sony.

And re: Fassbender. PLEASE SPARE ME. He is WAY overrated as an actor and he is UGLY. Yes, UGLY. He has RED hair, that is dyed for movies, and he JUST AND ONLY looks presentable after he's gone through hair and make up for two hours. NO. ABSOLUTELY NO. Now he's still better than Craig but certainly NOT a prime choice to be Bond.

Well, I beg to differ on that one, Alessandra. He was absolutely brilliant in Inglourious Basterds, nailing the 40s British Commando accent and behaviour. It's just the other movies he chose to participate in are not the right choices, and he's portrayed as a playboy/Jersey Boy type actor, which I despise. But he actually can act anyway you'd like him to, unlike the stiff-face CR-egg. Lol!

Xmen first class has a serious bond vibe. Fessbender had more bond moments in that one movie than Craig in 3 movies

I'll second you on that one, he was great in X-Men. That scene in the bank managers office and the one in the pub in Argentina hunting those Nazi's were 100% Bond inside and out. Matthew Vaughn would be a good director choice for a Bond film. I think his name was suggested for one of the Craig films, but can't remember which one.

Ok, ABSOLUTELY NOT, re: Fassbender. First off, he doesn't have ANY natural charm at ALL. Second and again he is ABSOLUTELY OVERRATED as an actor. ONE decent movie does NOT a good actor make, period. You men think that because one who is actually an UNclassy man can look nice after two hours of make up and hair AND DYED hair no less, then he's ok to be Bond. No. CANNOT BUY CLASS, and Fassbender DOES NOT HAVE IT. Fassbender is a quite vulgar type who gets drunk all too often and who has a VERY questionable past for how he treats women, let's put it this way, and he is in NO WAY qualified to be Bond. He's YET ANOTHER Daniel Craig and I absolutely don't want that.
He is UGLY, besides. I will repeat, UGLY. A red haired man for Bond? No. There's plenty of men with natural dark hair who are FAR more suitable for the role than he is.

And, I don't care that he was decent in Inglorious Basterds, he has many other roles that I utterly dislike. Including X Men that everyone praises here? No, thanks. Give me Hugh Jackman any day. With ALL the options out there, people ought to make the best choice for Bond, and not the choice that "oh look another ugly looking man that can be Bond,let's take him so I can dream of being Bond myself!" No. Just no. Either way THANKFULLY he is NOT an option, so for once I'll be spared another vulgar man being Bond.

The actor who is Bond must look FLAWLESS NATURALLY, as he is, not BARELY PRESENTABLE after two hours of make up and hair, including a colorist to change his red hair into dark!

I had already seen the Napoleon Solo still, in fact I came over to post it because I didn't have time to earlier!
THAT is a man who looks like James Bond and BEHAVES like James Bond even WITHOUT the movie clothes and hair and make up. Henry Cavill IS James Bond, period. THAT is a perfect candidate for Bond.

Cavil not only looks like he's trying way too hard, but he also looks like a younger Brosnan. And that is why I don't want him anywhere near Bond. Hopefully either U.N.C.L.E or Superman will keep him tied up when the role is next up for grabs.

There's my choice. Cooper's performance was the best thing about 'Fleming', it positively screamed Bond.

I don't think Fassbender or Cavil will be the next Bond when Craig steps down.
They are both way too famous and established as movie actors now, particularly now Cavil is too tightly associated with another hero franchise.

The next Bond will be someone virtually unknown, someone we have never heard of, or at best someone who is relatively well known in a TV role, but for nothing famous in a movie role. This has been the case for every actor to have played Bond, and I don't think EON will change this trend in the future (I doubt they'll want to fork out the cash either for a well-known face).

I was not a fan of Fassbender. He has been good in a number of 007 like roles however his personality has impressed me more. The impression I had of him from his roles and small interviews was completely different from the funny personable man I saw on Top Gear.

If a unknown Fassbender took over for Pierce while not a perfect choice I doubt I would be here. Althou the problem with the franchise apparently rests squarely with Cubby's daughter, so perhaps even with a superior actor I still have a reason to voice complaint.

The only way I believe we will get a well know actor as the next 007 is if they hire a big name director like Christopher Nolan for a trilogy/ a series, allowing him his choices for his interpretation of 007. Which would be a tremendous departure for EON.


However in the last ten years we have witnessed a great number of departures from procedure the old guard Cubby and Dana kept up.
