If Quantum of Solace is another success, and it is bound to be even if the money earnt is down a little, and, Daniel Craig makes ten movies, and I don't enjoy them, I will be sad but won't begrudge other people their fun.

I don't think Craig will make 10 movies. He said that he wasn't going to make five. I think he'll quit after Bond 23 so as not to get typecast, but I won't be breaking out the champagne until I find out who is going to replace him. I no longer trust EON's judgement when it comes to casting Bond.

Depends on the outcome of QOS and Bond 23. If these are both HUGE hits, the chances are EON won't let him go so easily. They may do a Don Corleone on him, and make him an offer he can't refuse.....

Craig isn't Connery. He doesn't strike me as the type to be lured back to a role he's no longer interested in with a fat cheque. And a good thing too, unless you want Bond 24 to be another DAF.

I find i dont have to write a lot on this debate, as others hear write posts which bear out my sentiments..............but i will say one thing and i have said it before........people who wish ill on the film franchise so they can be rid of an actor they dont like..............dont seem to realise that at the end of the day the films are a business, and a disaster at the BO could easily end the franchise, and none of us wants that.
Replacing a lead actor is currently popular, is also not a sensible choice at present...................as who knows, the next actor could be even less acceptable to the public!!

In 1989 LTK was made by Eon. By all accounts, a flop. It did only $8.7 million opening weekend in the USA. The franchise did not end. It took 6 years but we got Brosnan, and it was refreshing and enjoyable to watch, except for Sweeney and his friends at MI6. EON will NOT stop producing Bond films Arthur,not yet any way. They now REFUSE to commit verbally as to how many films Craig will do, except to say it depends on how the people like them. They will release Craig at the FIRST sign of a decline to this hysterical blindness by the public of this product EON is now passing off as Bond.

Yes 'BJ'................but as you are dissalusioned with EONS current thinking........WHAT makes you think that their decisions in the direction of the franchise and choice of lead actor in the future will be any better (from your perspective)?

If they choose another Craig clone, the battle will continue, simple. With Owen, Jackman, Bale, and a whole host of unknown actors out there who look 'proper Bondish', I would hope Eon would use common sense, for if they dumped Craig, ala Brosnan, why would they make the same mistake twice? What is going on now with Eon is ludicrous.

More action you will get, as MGW said;therefore, seeing DC do more stunts and have less dialogue, given all else stays the same, will that make you enjoy Craig's film more?

Well, the promise of more action and less talk for one.

From what we have heard 'Kris' about 'QOS'

i.e. more action and a 120 min running time

i suspect that QOS will be a faster more even paced film than CR.

CR was a bit uneven, in that after 'Le Chiffre' was killed, the pacing of the film dropped dramatically with the romance between Bond and Vesper, before it built up again towards the end.

It was a one night stand at best (on film). Poor Craig, pops his cherry at the age of 40 (looks 50) and then goes on the rampage (QOS).

I don't think EON will use 'Amy Whitehouse' to perform the title song...........i think she carries too much 'negative baggage'.......but you never know!!
