Just picture a crummy 2014 remake of The Sting. You would have Clooney, Pitt, Affleck, Cr-egg, and Cruise as the 5 guys setting up William Forsythe playing Doyle Lonnegen. Image Image

Daniel Radcliffe Puts 'Harry Potter' Behind Him, Eyes Bond Villain Role In 'Bond 24'?
The Huffington Post UK ............A source tells The Sun: “Daniel thinks he would be an excellent villain in the ‘Bond’ films. He loves the franchise but admires the villains as much as Bond. “He feels he could appear as a modern bad guy, an evil mastermind who wants to take down MI5. And like the old Bond films, he hopes the role may be recurring.”

empireonline.com/news: Evidently the laser needed to be shifted a few inches towards the Logan family jewels. A more direct line of questioning was required. Will we see the return of Quantum? “No comment.” Will we see Blofeld in Bond 24? “No comment.” Will there be any other Double-0 agents? A pause, which gave us a quantum of hope. “Ah... no comment!”...........( prediction: look for Ejiofor as a bald, black Blofeld, to go along with Eon's re-ethnicitizing of the main characters, with Wright back as Leiter, and MP already redone.......Devil May Care might very well be the new title, further distancing the franchise from it's creator by Brocolli.........the plot? Given the way Eon copies other franchises, perhaps copying Jack Bauer's 24 now with drone threats globally by Quantum..........November Man awaits in 3 months.....)

Dan should just stay away from Bond.

There used to be a thread for predictions on this forum. Whatever happened to that? It'd be fun to look back on the old posts and see which ones turned out to be correct and which ones were spectacularly wrong.

X-Men: Days of Future Past plummeted 74 percent to an estimated $9.4 million. That's a steeper drop than Fast & Furious 6's 72 percent; even with good word-of-mouth, it looks like Days of Future Past is going to be a typically front-loaded X-Men movie. At least it's holding up better than The Last Stand, which fell 77 percent at the same point. For the weekend, Days of Future Past should earn around $31 million. Godzilla fell hard once again: the monster movie dropped 62 percent to $3.3 million.

Mentioning Daniel Craig's stint on stage, Mendes revealed he considered some alternate possibilities as an actor. "I went to see Daniel Craig in 'Betrayal' and I was reminded what a fantastic actor he is outside of James Bond." Could we see a more diverse, different side to him in 'Bond 24', perhaps? "It inspires you to think of other ways to use him and allow him to express that. Ralph Fiennes is another great example."................... MIKE REYES: With his cast returning, along with Skyfall co-writer John Logan, Mendes doesn't look content to just go with the same old story. While the crew may be the same, this ship is looking to set sail for some new narrative waters, without sacrificing any of the narrative innovation that the previous film had displayed.

So much for my David Arnold prediction.

Looks like it will have a hard time reaching the $230 million domestic total that BOM was predicting before its release. Meanwhile, Transformers 4 will doubtless be a huge hit. To quote Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, people are morons.

It SHOULD have been a LOT better by exploring the origin of the monsters more and the Olsen girl's marriage less. The young married Godzilla couple will repeat their mistakes in the Avengers sequel too I am afraid. I like the cohesive casting as it stands now. It's perfect :!: They seem to be overloading the sequel with far too many new boring and insignificant characters. The Hulk will rule supreme in the sequel which is very good.

I just watched MI:4 on cable. At the very end, Ethan Hunt is listening to his new mission via the recording stating that drones were missing. Now, 24 is back on tv and the plot is stolen drones........mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........interesting stealing the idea from the end of MI:4  ..........watch Eon do it likewise

Is there going to be an MI-6, or has it already been completed? They should call it MI-6.

Everyone complains that there's "not enough Godzilla", but I liked that big G was used sparingly. It followed in the tradition of Jaws, Alien and the Hammer Dracula films, where the "monster" had very little screen time, but made its presence felt throughout.

Tom Cruise has revealed that the the fifth ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie, which is penciled in for a December 25th, 2015 release date, will shoot in London. “I’m working on the next mission soon and we’re shooting it here in London,” he said. “We haven’t come up with the title yet. Hopefully I’ll come up with a good one before the movie is finished.”

Set to be directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the fifth ‘Mission: Impossible’ will be produced by Tom Cruise through Tom Cruise Productions, Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot, who served as producers on previous films in the hit series. Skydance Productions, who served as co-financers and executive producers of the last installment, will work closely with the team in the development and production process. The likes of Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Paula Patton are expected to return but no official announcements have been made.

classicalite.com:In what must be the exception that proves the rule, rumor has it that 007 Skyfall husband Daniel Craig is feeling pressure from the studio to get a facelift before the next Sam Mendes directed James Bond instalment, Bond 24, while the world still raves over his wife's Rachel Wiesz uncompromised beauty in her latest film Lobster. Rumor has it that the only reason the studio isn't pushing Craig even harder is they are afraid he might split. It is looking more and more like Daniel Craig's unsteady marriage to the Bond franchise may end in its inevitable divorce even sooner than anyone anticipated. 46-year-old actor Daniel Craig isn't the man that he used to be, or at least he doesn't really look like the man he used to be. Rumor has it that as the earth's cruel joke, gravity, continues to ravage the poor man's face so severely that the 007 producers are afraid that the audience will think that James Bond was exposed to some sort of severe radiation leak between films.
An insider told OK! Magazine that the only thing that scares the powers that be more than Craig's deflated face, is his overinflated sense of self:
"Producers have noticed that he hasn't aged well since shooting Casino Royal in 2006 and that he may be in need of a face-lift.
"[But] he doesn't desire to go under the knife...They're scared he'll blow up at them."
If they can talk the reluctant geriatric into the doctors off, Daniel will have more than enough time to fully recuperate before it's time to start filming, as director Sam Mendes and Bond 24 co-writer John Logan haven't come close to finishing the script yet.
