Boxofficemojo:"The Amazing Spider-Man 2 dropped to second place with an estimated $10.1 million. That's off 71 percent from last Friday, which is identical to Spider-Man 3's drop at the same point. The superhero sequel could wind up as low as $34 million this weekend." (As we predicted, this junk will be a front loaded under-achiever and good riddance. After 8 days it has done $120 million in the USA vs. $153 million for the first reboot. It was slaughtered by Neighbors, an R-rated raunchy comedy that was poorly reviewed. Garfield sucks in the role and is as bad as Cr-egg is as Bond
Godzilla will bury the bug for sure next weekend.)

"..........British director Gareth Edwards brings his own American version of Godzilla to the screen. And thankfully, it’s far closer in style and tone to the 1954 version than Emmerich’s outsized, egg-laying lizard from the 1990s..............Edwards’ direction, aided by Seamus McGarvey’s meticulous cinematography and Owen Patterson’s distinctive production design, is almost Spielberg-like in approach............Visually and aurally, Godzilla is among the most creative and striking summer blockbusters we’ve seen in years........" This will be huge

Neighbors turned the box office into a block party this weekend, stunning Spider-Man to take the top spot at theaters.
The Seth Rogen-Zac Efron comedy collected $51.1 million, according to studio estimates from box office firm Rentrak.
The debut obliterated expectations, which hovered around $35 million, and was plenty to supplant The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which collected $37.2 million, good for second place.
While analysts anticipated a steep drop from Spider-Man's No. 1 opening last week, most prognosticators expected the comic-book adaptation to keep the top position for at least one more week.
"What people weren't expecting was it to be blown out of first place by Neighbors," says Tim Briody, analyst for Box Office Mojo.

Steroidal Batman
does not work and the actor cannot act, and the film will not do well and it will be moved again because Captain America awaits that date. Watch them shelve it. Cavill is an after thought now as Superman and Affleck has Aff-lucked up the movie's publicity in a negative way.

Afraid Affleck is going to do to Batman what he did to Daredevil. End the franchise. Of course he did it to Daredevil before it had a chance to become a franchise. hardtruth00 says:

Gigli as Batman?!?! Definitely a movie ill take a pass on. Isn’t ruining Daredevil enough? Eddie Cook says:

This Batman may have greater peripheral vision, symbolic with the Batmobile’s windshield, and see the errs of Kal-El – but Affleck still has a horse head. He has an ugly body. It’s not that people hate Ben Affleck; it’s that he sucks and is detrimental to the value of movies onscreen.

Thank you, no thank you, I’ll pass. Affleck’s penchant for denigrating Americans who do not agree with his political philosophy has added him to the L-O-N-G list of actors whose films I wouldn’t see for free.

Ben Affleck? Really? With so many handsome, young, talented actors available why would they pick a hack like him? Bob in Virginia says:

Nope. Not gong to see any movie with Ben Affleck. Ever. Period. That turd is cinematic poison.

There is no way in hell that Ben Affleck is believable as Batman. Just looking at his dopey face in that suit is totally dispiriting. Christian Bale really has some credible acting roles. Affleck is just a douchey tabloid sometime actor, sometime boyfriend/husband to starlets. This is very sad.
