ABC 20/20 1.8 7.33 million
CBS Blue Bloods 1.4 11.80 million
NBC Hannibal -Premiere 1.1 3.35 million ............The second season premiere of Hannibal earned a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating. That's up from last year's finale (and the four episodes that preceded it), but down from the 1.6 the series premiere earned.

“The original Godzilla film was a very serious take on the monster movie, which is what I and Legendary Pictures wanted to do with this,” he explained.........FBF, get the wallet ready for tickets. This looks better than Cr-egg's Bond films

Screen Rant----"James Bond 24 will begin filming in October this year. With a release date set for November 2015 (wisely avoiding the crazy summer schedule and Star Wars Month), this gives James Bond 24 over a year between its production start and distribution: a pretty healthy time frame to be working with. Whishaw has signed on to play Freddie Mercury in an upcoming biopic and Craig may end up reprising his role as journalist Mikael Blomkvist if The Girl Who Played With Fire ever gains momentum again, but other than that there isn’t much that will cause James Bond 24 scheduling problems."

Reading your comment, you clearly don’t understand how Bond works.
The Broccoli family dynasty simply apes the most popular blockbuster from the previous year, especially if it had British talent involved.
Every James Bond movie can be directly traced to the movie it is aping. For example Moonraker was the Bond response to Star Wars.
Skyfall was the Bond response to the Nolan batman films. Since Mendes is coming back to the chair, I predict he will try to out-do Nolan again.

But, given that it's on Friday, at 10, without any other competition, it *is* pretty good.bjmdds wrote:ABC 20/20 1.8 7.33 million

Seeing as Casino Royal had shall we say a taste of Bourne followed by QOS which was a full blown rip off, it follows Bond 24 will feature Craig in a cape and cowl, hopping roof top to roof top, and growling at every henchman he comes across!

I hope Godzilla buries Garfield the cat's Spidey 2 which will be in that film's 3rd weekend of release. Godzilla looks like a huge box office hit here.

Lego movie finally lost the #1 to taken 3, I mean Liam neeson and non stop.
Hobbit 2 is still shy of a billion, frozen just hit a billion, to robocop dropped to 6 th but will hit $200 million no problem. I can only hope it does not make enough to get a sequel.

Frozen opened few weeks earlier. I hope Smaug still get a shot for a billion dollar club. It just opened in China, and it hasn't open in Japan yet. And to hell RoboBatCop. As in the old saying, you do not remake a classic.Omega wrote:Hobbit 2 is still shy of a billion, frozen just hit a billion, to robocop dropped to 6 th but will hit $200 million no problem. Yep. Hannibal was THAT good. It was anazing. And from some of the spoilers I've read, this season is going to be even more insane than the first.

"When tonight’s disjointed show finally ended, a minute or two into Monday morning for about a third of the country’s TV viewers who live on the East Coast, DeGeneres had reminded us she’s likeable as all get out, but her improvised bits did not work so well – Amy Poehler and Tina Fey did it much better at the Golden Globes. Deadline followers on various social-media sites had wildly different opinions about the show. “Death” said one succinct criticism; others cut DeGeneres some slack because they like her a lot; one Twitter user was “completely unimpressed” and asked if Ricky Gervais was available for next year."

"Hannibal returned in-line with how it had been doing at the end of the regular season, on a Friday, no less. While everything I’ve heard of its finances suggests that it will return to some US network (possibly even an NBC owned one – SyFy could use some prestige shows), I frankly have no information to say whether that network will be NBC. So I’m leaving it “On the Bubble” until the ratings miraculously stay stable or totally collapse." zap2it.com's Tom Shaw

Ugh I've given up on Zap 2 it.. too much snarkiness over there for me.
On an unrelated note.. I quite enjoyed the Oscars.. though Ellen broke Twitter trying to get people to retweet her group selfie picture. I tried to but couldn't. And Twitter was weird for a bit as a result.

Correct. A bunch of millionaires kissing each other's rears telling us what life is all about in their perverted, twisted director's minds.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Did not see the show I don't know Elllen's improve would be worse than some of the recent shows. James Franco for instance. Even though I did now watch it was easy to predict the major category winners maybe the Oscars should become a every other year event?bjmdds wrote:"When tonight’s disjointed show finally ended, a minute or two into Monday morning for about a third of the country’s TV viewers who live on the East Coast, DeGeneres had reminded us she’s likeable as all get out, but her improvised bits did not work so well – Amy Poehler and Tina Fey did it much better at the Golden Globes. I made my decision to stop watching the Oscars when SF was breaking records at the box office. The Best Oscars was 10 years ago, and that was when LOTR3 won all 11 nods, not to mentioned the appearance of Sean and Pierce.bjmdds wrote:Correct. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I wish I'd been able to watch the Oscars live just so I could follow the Rifftrax live tweet. I mean, the tweets are still there, of course, but they don't make much sense when not in sync with the broadcast.
