And I most sincerely think, we, the members of DCINB/ClassicBondForums site should be creating something new in the same mold as Classic Bond, and take down Babs' agony-causing trend for once and for all!!
You make it sound so easy. I could write a screenplay for a rival spy franchise, but then I'd have to sell it, get it produced and then have the resulting movie gross a billion dollars. Do you know what the odds against that are? Especially as with the odd exception, such as Gravity, people seem to only want to see movies based on familiar existing properties. For that reason, I'm not even putting too much hope in November Man or The Coup. The former is based on a novel, but I wasn't familiar with it, and I don't know how much name recognition it has. The best bet might be the Man From UNCLE movie, but I'm expecting that to do Mission: Impossible numbers rather than Skyfall numbers. Sorry to be such a pessimist, but I don't see any hope of another spy movie toppling Skyfall from its perch any time soon.
We've been wasting a lot of time since 2006, Kris. We should've been trying hard. When you don't succeed for the first time, you try it again. One rival spy flick didn't work? We try again. I always have high hopes. November Man won't be successful as M:I or SkyFoul, because it's "gritty and realistic" even though, I'm still gonna watch it. Now, make something similar to over-the-top Classic Bond, not too far to be another DAD, and you'll be having something in there. I'm not saying it's gonna be easy. And I know what the odds are against, mate. I really do. But, which writer was well-received at the first try? Nobody. Someone must try something severely until it gets up on top. Have some faith, old chap.
Well, I have submitted a script to the BBC that has some old-school Bond elements to it, though it is not a spy thriller. Don't want to say too much about for fear of jinxing it.

And we could have root for Pierce's serious non-Bond actioners like St. Vincent (which should have filmed during summer 2010) instead of wasting our breath on Thomas Crown 2, isn't that right Drake?

Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Don't for a second think I forget about you EVER... I am just TOO d**n BUSY for fun!! BUT... and this is a big but, 2014 has already started in the BEST possible way for me. Wonderful dinner celebration with family and friends (VERY small party) and half an hour before midnight, guess what was on, on satellite? GOLDENEYE! I LOVE the movie, always have. And it's always been a great good luck charm for me, and it's Pierce! What were the odds, given they have been doing a Bond marathon for the whole week? And yet...
So HAPPY 2014 my darlings and may it bring us all LOTS of joy and good health and great things all around!!!

Ale, Pierce's actioners November Man and The Coup will come out next year (or this year from where you are), and I hope you'll pay to see them in the movie theater. Along with Henry's U.N.C.L.E. and M:I (along with others like Secret Service adaptation), Pierce's upcoming actioners are what we should set our eyes on. James Bond is not worth saving anymore based on the madness carried out by Babs The B1tch herself. Due to her obsession with making DC's Bonds a success with every film better than the last and especially the way she treated Pierce, leave the Bond role to unattractive actors (like Marty Feldman) and fighters/wrestlers who can act, and these guys are and shall be Babs' dogs from now on.

2014 is here and it is the year of Pierce returning to the spy genre. FBF wil lead the coalition of fans to the theatres to see it in Calfornia multiple times when it is released. It is crucial November Man opens number one in the USA and if possible, globally, to show the green vegetable Pierce still has it and her Cr-eggling never had it :!:

Happy New Year across the seas and to all the humanity in between. Here, Miley Cyrus gyrated in NYC at midnight to kickstart the new year in Times Square with all of the loons freezing for 12 hours to watch the ball drop.

We should have "rooted for" one film that didn't get made over another film that didn't get made? Do you actually believe that the reason St Vincent was dropped was because of insufficient enthusiasm on DCINB? Methinks you overestimate our importance.

Eventually, in 2012, it was reported that Brosnan had the project resurrected and was put back on the trail with Dominic Cooper reportedly joining the production shortly after its announcement. In April 2013, whilst promoting his latest romcom, Love Is All You Need, Brosnan told the media: "I am about to go off to Serbia and do my own spy movie. Finally I have the director I want in Roger Donaldson and we’re gonna do a piece called November Man so I shall jump back into that arena." Brosnan revealed that Olga Kurylenko, who had a leading role in Quantum of Solace and the recent Oblivion, will co-star alongside him, commenting "I think there’s another room on the stage for another spy! Daniel [Craig] can’t have it all to himself. My co-star is a lovely actress called Olga Kurylenko, who seems to be going through leading men like hot dinners. She started with Daniel Craig and she’s gonna end up with Brosnan! She’s a gorgeous actress, beautiful woman. She’s in and it’s the older spy, younger spy". This has been scheduled to be released by November 13, 2014. On December 3rd 2013, it was announced that Marco Beltrami will be composing the soundtrack for the film. Brosnan reported that the flick would possibly get expanded into a film franchise if met with a huge success. (Pierce took some shots at Cr-egg and Eon in his statements :!: Good :!: )

It's much worse than that. It's trying to be better than Gone With The Wind, The Godfather, Star Wars and all other all-time classics or at least be on the same level as those icons. Why else would the b1tch hire Oscar nominees/winners and those with Oscar potential?
Well, wanting your movies to be good is hardly a crime. The trouble is, her definition of "good" is shaped by the sort of middlebrow tat that typically gets rewarded by the Academy. And no, that doesn't include Star Wars.

they only give those big films the rest of us like awards when it's the last in a series. Star Wars LoTR revolutionised movies for decades the profits from those movies like bond support the art films and the always get snubbed because it's too common.

Are more superheros joining the follow up?

It seems like the cast rumors of the "Man of Steel" sequel aren't stopping, and the latest reports claim that Denzel Washington may take on the Green Lantern role in the 2015 "Batman Vs. Superman" movie.

According to The Nuke Fridge, the Oscar winning actor is being considered for the Green Lantern John Stewart role in the Warner Bros. production.

Recently, Coming Soon reported via Fusible that Warner Bros. has registered several domains, implying that one of them may eventually serve as the "Man of Steel" sequel film title, which include:

"Man of Steel Battle the Knight," "Man of Steel Beyond Darkness," "Man of Steel Black of Knight," "Man of Steel Darkness Falls," "Man of Steel Knight Falls," "Man of Steel Shadow of the Night," "Man of Steel The Blackest Hour," and "Man of Steel The Darknness Within."

The "Man of Steel" sequel hits theaters on July 17, 2015. (More ridiculous casting of the Green Lantern. )

Veteran actor Denzel Washington has been rumored to play Lex Luthor, Superman’s arch nemesis. The Man Of Steel sequel, with a Batman vs. Superman working title has already garnered major press with its questionable casting choices, including Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. British- American actor Idris Elba’s name also came up in the discussion.

Warner Bros. Studios hasn’t released any additional official casting details, but insiders report its "desire to choose a non-white actor to play the mega villian, as opposed to following the character’s history of being played by a white actor". (More rewriting of comicbook literrary history by the morons in Hollywood. This film looks like utter trash.)

So every time Superman takes down Lex Luther it's a hate crime? ;)

The cartoon series had a badass Lex Luther. But I don't think He is a good choice

Big O, another franchise ruined by rewriting history for the PC crowds in Hollywood. Ale's hero is being surrounded by lunatics for this film. The Avengers did it correctly. DC is ruining their films.

Do you have a source for this Denzel Washington story? Hollywood blockbusters attract a lot of fake rumours, and the weasel words "insiders report" are a huge red flag for me.
