I do not trust what Haggis and Forster have cooked up in their collective minds for Bond in this film, given their admitted political ideology. I truly believe they plan to go where NO Bond film has ever gone and it will adversely affect the world's perception of Bond. These two have NO business doing an original Bond film storyline. Wait and see Stocks, wait and see. Remember, The Kite Runner and The Valley Of Elah, their two most recent films.

I suggest you wait and see as well BJ. :) Right now you know nothing about Bond 22 besides that they're bringing Bond back as a third dimensional character. Don't look at their other works and suspect that they'll throw in political material unless you have proof. Did you forget about Marc Forster stating that he always likes to do something different after a particular film? Look at all his work, they're not all political films. So just wait and see.

I agree with Stocks bj. Just wait and see. There is not one shred of evidence out there right now to suggest Bond 22 will be what you are imagining right now.

You did this with CR before its release, and look what a success that was. This is history repeating itself all over again...

You're talking in extremes again, bj.

How about - Would you prefer to see Bond defeat the villains with his superior gadgets, or rely on his wits to get himself out of a tricky situation. I think that is more closer to EON's vision with Bond 22.
Where did you see Craig's Bond use his wits to get out of a tricky situation?
Ok, in CR there wasn't much of this, mainly because there wasn't much in the book either. And he actually used a gadget to escape the poisoning, but he still poured salt down his throat first to throw it up in the bathroom.

But where did you see Bond quarrel with himself after killing a terrorist?

*WARNING*
Captain Nash has returned.
*WARNING*
Captain Nash is wondering how bjmdds has got his 001 title?
Stolen my 001 hey bj? You haven't even hit 1000 posts yet.
What gives?

*WARNING*
As Bond 22 has started filming there has to be a few more Craig fans around. It's the law.
But only with friendly...ish debate.

That is all.

I didn't Sweeney....YET. I gave a supposition about where Forster wants to go with the exploration of Bond's psyche.

Ok, so I guess the question you asked me about Bond using his wits to get out of a situation is irrelevant too, if we are talking about the suppositions of Bond 22, and not CR...

Correct. Forster has some twists and turns up his sleeves Sweeney. I am waiting to see if you agree with them or not.

True, but not enough to decide whether I will like the film or not. I never made my mind up on CR until I saw it.

Would a title of "007" bother you, or it does not matter?

To be honest, I'm not particularly happy on the title `007'. It sounds lazy to me, and a bit of a cop out.

I would much prefer Risico, Quantum of Solace, or Colonel Sun as the title. I would even prefer `007 in New York' than just `007'.

I still cannot believe they have not announced it yet.... :?

Why the delay? It makes no sense, unless they want hype about it.

I agree it seems like they really are out of ideas.

Risco isn't bad name IMHO..

There is NO reason for them to be out of ideas. They need to surround themselves with espionage/action script writers and directors, not Haggis and Forster.

If you recall DAD has a delay in the naming of the film. Shooting was well underway and was known as Bond 20 for the early part of shooting.
What's the problem now?
All will be revealed shortly.

Don't forget that Indiana Jones 4 didn't get a title until near the end of filming. So just keep your patience, I know you want to stop calling it The Bourne Mimicry. :)

By the way, glad to have you back Nash! I asked why BJ got the title before hitting 1000, but no answer. I'll just assume that he's DCINB's favorite. Quite nice for a site that promotes itself as trying to be fair these days. :) :P

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to watch this video and decide: How much better could have CR been with this actor as Bond, and would you be more enthusiastic about TBM as well? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJSKhGhB ... re=related
