Brad's beard(say that really fast 10 times) seems to come and go at his whim. He'll have one for a while, shave it off then he has one again a few months later.Daniel Craig needs to avoid hats.He can't find ones that suit him(flat caps-which he has been photographed wearing several times) are a particular fashion "don't."

Brad's particular beard in the photo is horrid. It's completely left to itself, which hygienically speaking is... EEEWWW! And, as I said, the guy isn't very good friends with shower or soap. By unfortunate personal experience at London disco. That was quite a few years ago, and thinking that meantime he's gotten from the well-kept and beautiful Jennifer to the tramp that is Angelina Jolie makes it even worse... I can't imagine she made him improve his personal hygiene at all. Enter beard

And, exactly. Craig needs to avoid hats at all costs. First off, hats especially of that kind make one seem shorter (it's true, basic fashion fact). And second, hats are one of the most difficult accessories to wear. They're most definitely not for everyone, and only a few people can wear them well. A good example is Matt Bomer of White Collar. He's fantastic at wearing them. Craig? just no. And yeah as you said, those flat ones are a particular fashion "don't" for types like him. I can't think he looks at himself in the mirror and thinks "Oh I look good with this" when it makes him look shorter AND it also makes his ears stick out. WTF?

I really don't see Bond 23 happening by the magical 2012 date with this bankruptcy continuing to drag out. If a movie filmed and ready to go that MGM does have the money for is in doubt what hope is there for anything else?
You're right about this Blowfeld. I hadn't considered the whole Hobbit situation. I just want to hope, for the sake of the franchise, that they get their cr*p together. I have doubts myself about 2012, but I want to wait until the end of this month, mid-February to see. If by then there's no news, then I'd say it's nearly impossible for them to come through with Bond 23 by 2012.
The Hobbit is happening because WB is paying the bills, MGM is getting a loan to pay them back, most of the 500m is going for the Hobbites. The only way Bond can happen is for another interested party to pay the bills, hell Babs could spend the money if she has it, she never would because it is a bad investment in the short term, especially with Daniel's high salary and diminishing returns at the theater.

At this point the Hobbites are a risky venture for MGM, although they may make out like bandits if the break the billion marks however with WBs cut and the size of Jackson's cut The Hobbit might still be hard movies to make money off of until they hit home video.

I noticed that Daniel Craig did not make the GQ 50 best dressed men lis for 2011.

I saw a picture of David Beckham with one of those stupid hats on and a big Inspector Clouseau mac: it seems the Eric Morecambe look is the height of fashion now!

You don't say! How can someone who is the epitome of style not be in that one? not even in the first FIFTY! As we were saying earlier, that type of thing is just and only advertising. Movie is out and needs advertising? People make the list. No movie to make money off of? no list.

Fashion doesn't always dictate the best looks at all. But, if one has style, they can pull those off. That said, while I explained why I think Beckham definitely has style, I am more for the modern but understated style. Basically the style he has when he wears suits or less "aggressive" casual stuff. It's called "minimal chic" here. It's easier for men. When it comes to women... good Lord. Better not get started on the last few Bond girls, Eva Green especially. She has AWFUL style. That's also what surprises me about Craig, you'd think he would have learnt two or three things from Bond style? Well, except his movies weren't all that much like that, I forgot. Guess he didn't actually see it properly. I will always remember that horrid polo plus pants look in CR  ARE YOU KIDDING ME. At the very least, put him in a freaking Lacoste/Ralph Lauren if he has to wear a polo. That light, creased thing he had on was horrid. And, I'm well aware even Brioni makes polos. They just aren't nice. Every brand has their own specialty and characteristic: Brioni is better off sticking with suits and very classic/sartorial clothes. Polos and the like aren't things they should be making. Polo must be Ralph Lauren or Lacoste. Fred Perry in other cases. And Bond must be dressed accordingly (other than the fact Bond shouldn't be caught dead wearing a polo unless he is out at sea sailing, or on a golf course. Piece of clothing must be appropriate to occasion. Bond does not run in the middle of Venice wearing a polo. He'd wear a freaking shirt, and roll the sleeves up if it's hot.)

This said, the outfit he has in the photo isn't all that bad, as I said previously. It's the hat and the shoes... those are horrid. And the fact he seems to pile up layers of stuff without thinking that the last layer must be LARGER in size than the one underneath. So then it looks like he's crammed in stuff Michelin-man style.

I'm baffled by the shoes, too. For God's sakes, haven't foreign actors heard about Tod's and Hogan? I mean, Beckham has and I've seen him wear them, but really? Then he goes back to those horrendous worker-like boots like the one he has in the above photo? He's in Milan, so there's no excuse. Tod's and Hogan shops are there. Those are sports shoes (Hogan especially) and they are incredibly comfortable. But they're also stylish! I bought both for my brother (Tod's and 2 pairs of Hogan), and he hasn't been able to go back to anything else since. They're expensive but not impossibly expensive, they last forever AND they're the most comfortable and stylish type of casual shoe a man can wear. Hogan especially would be good for Craig, since they're built so that you are a bit lifted from the ground. Basically make you look taller because of the way the sole is designed.

Image Image Image

Get the catalogue and learn, Craig. There are more "classic" or more "casual" types based on one's necessities. Heck, young businessmen in Italy even wear Hogan (the beige, or all black or all blue ones) with suits in the winter. Obviously not appropriate when you need to have a formal look, but for everyday use/more casual look they most certainly serve the purpose very well.
