I went to see Casino Royale based on the fact that the Brand Name said James Bond, yet didn't actually resemble him.
Did you not see who was playing James Bond beforehand?

well, it said "Casino Royale", so I assumed it starred David Niven, Woody Allen, and Peter Sellars.

No Sony is bad for Bond. Their approach to Bond was a demo disk for a expensive dvd system. And Sony got the demo disk wrong with poor quality.

At another forum I post at here are what some of us think of Sony adverts in Bond.
They are not Bond fans dishing on Craig. Probably don't care about Craig or who plays Bond. I left their names + the forum out of it.
Anyone seen Casino Royale and been as hacked off as I was to see a Sony branded product in every scene!!? It was frankly scandilous! All the Laptops (bad guys and good guys) were Sony Viao, all the mobile phones were Sony Ericcson, and there was even a crap one liner drawn out between Bond and that stone cold cow about his watch "It's an Omega......" dramatic pause...
Yep, you're not the only one who noticed. Even the part where he is watching security footage it's a rewriteable Blu-Ray disc, and of course there is a nice shot of the logo on the disc tray too while he watches on his Sony branded monitors.
I don't think I've ever seen such an amount of advertising in any film, and certainly none so shamelessly blatant as it was in Casino Royale...
I noticed it and was disgusted by it. It's the same in the majority of Sony films.
And that comment about the movie industry does seem to hint at a Casino Royale style advertising in games

I'm not sure that the branding of the electronic equipment really bothered me as much as Daniel Craig's visage.

All of this laptop/cellphone crap is going to age just wonderfully. Previous Bonds had it from the beginning, KFC in GF, 7up in MR, but not chugging it down our throats like CR. You'd think half the movie was a glowy screen.
