IF NICHOLAS CAGE REPLACED INDIANA JONES IN NEXT YEAR'S 4TH FILM OF THE SAGA, WOULD YOU BE PLEASED AND GO SEE IT? I WOULD NOT. I AM GLAD YOU ENJOYED CRAIG AS BOND, BUT REALIZE,OTHERS HERE MIGHT TAKE EXCEPTION TO IT.

I can sort of understand where you are coming from. If you had never visited the forum before you may be under the assumption that the forum is full of hate mongering amoebas who love nothing more than criticising Daniel Craig. I like many others on here would be pleased to hear your views on Craig and Casino Royale, so that we can debate the issues in a more civilised manor. Perhaps taking the time to read some of the threads before shooting at the hip would have put you in a better light. It was pleasing to see two prominent Craig supporters be the first to criticise you, which emphasises the tolerant and respectful debates that go on here.

Needless to say you have made an impact, whether that be good or bad only time will tell.

just a few thing

1. i am a girl for those unsure.

2. i didnt mean for the caps situation to be rude, i had just left my comp in caps and couldnt be bothered changing it back when i realised once id wrote it all. Sorry.

3. Judging by the user name and Caps Locked writing style, it appears to be a teenage girl who got frozen in time around 1995, or whenever it was that Take That were popular, and who has only just been thawed out. Wish they'd bloody left her there. if i was frozen in time - id be 2. and i take exception to the left her there remark - i'm sure my family would miss me.

5. I'm sorry to those who like daniel craig or have better reasons than he looks wrong for the part- i didnt mean to offend you.

6. Just to help! :D take that split up and were popular til 1996 and mark owen was one of them. they had a comeback and are popular between 'nostalgic thirtie yearolds.' and the rest of the age band. All my mates love them so i think the nostalgic value has all but gone.

I would not wan't to see Indiana Jones played by Nicholas Cage, but if Daniel Craig wants to play it, well, I'd give it a chance.

I think some people are not happy with the choice of Craig because it goes against what the books describe his look as being.

Tall, dark and handsome are not attributes you would naturally describe Craig as having. The cinematic Bonds before him all had a smooth, refined look and could all be considered as handsome. Craig has a rugged look that some women find attractive, but he is not handsome in the conventional sense.

The style of the film and Craig's uncouth approach made it difficult for me to regard his performance as Bond like. His portrayal at times verged on the Rambo scale, when all that was needed was a traditional Bond one.

Rambo. Come on, it never looked like Rambo. And I know that many dislike Craig but he's only giving his interpratation of Bond as the script says.
But for me, 'it's a new world, with new enemies and new threats, but you can still depend on one man...OO7!'
It worked for me back in '95, and it could be said again in '06 and work again.

I still hold true to my belief that elements of Rambo can be seen in Craigs portrayal.

That's a fair point.

No problem with what you mention, just the way Craig played Bond. Let's hope for more refinement in 22 and I will be a happier man and might (Just might) praise Craig for a good Bond performance.

I like DC but not in CR. -CR was a horrible movie for gobs of reasons.
DC can be Bond -which is my main prob with DC in CR.
I'm more worried about the producers screwing up DC. JB is an art and DC was painting with a blank canvas -and they didn't give him any colors to work with -causing his bond to be bland and unimagnitave. A action clone if you will.

I think you'll find most people here don't care about DC's hair color.

Some people obviously have issues with his appearance and it is understandable. I can personally look beyond that, but the problem starts for me when his performance is so far removed from what Bond 'should' be. If you dislike his appearance and performance then you are unlikely to enjoy any of his films.

Like I said in another thread, I can overlook his looks. But I can't do the same for his acting. At the same time...I can't blame Craig totally for the protrayal of 007. To tell you the truth, I'm more worried about the people behind the camera that make the scripts. They need to find out Craig's strengths and weaknesses. Capitolize on his strengths and improve on his weaknesses and go from there. If that means going outside of EON's comfort zone and finding a director and screenwriters to get the job done...then so beit. If Daniel Craig keeps the grittiness, but adds the old school Bond to the mix.....I will come on this site immediately after leaving the theater and give him his props.
