Ticket prices rise so fast, it's piss-easy to SMASH all box office records!!!11eleven. Adjusted totals are a far better indicator of a film's real performance against other entries in the same franchise, particularly one as long-running as Bond.

It's nice to hear good business for SF, but let's see how it is in the long run.

Once word gets out that it's crap, I expect that it won't be the hit here that it was in the UK.

I suppose we'll find out the real answer when it hits the US.

Your comments come off like fanboy gloating, The only reason I don't mind Sweeney posting the reviews is that he's nice about it.

I'm not gloating, I'm being hopeful. Skyfall still has some ways to go before anyone could claim it to be one of the more successful entries, but it's not too absurd to make an educated guess that it might actually do more than good given the positive word of mouth. Sweeney's comments certainly intrigue me, I look forward to seeing it next week.katied wrote:Your comments come off like fanboy gloating, The only reason I don't mind Sweeney posting the reviews is that he's nice about it.

It's gloating.
Like I said, he's nice about it. You're trying to be the reincarnation of Captain Nash, apparently.

"YOU MUST LIKE SPYFAIL!!", etc. if he was still here, he'd be trying to shove it down our throats. Much the way you are.

The fact that it did so well in the UK isn't a guarantee that it will do well elsewhere. You're acting like that is why it is 100% assured that Spyfail will be a hit. Time will tell. Until them, tone it way way way way way way down. Thanks.

To quote myself:

Not exactly gloating, and I actually note at the end that there's still some ways to go before calling it an overall success. Big opening doesn't necessarily guarantee a good long run.

Fair enough.....this is really bad(and I would have no part of it-honest!) but I'm amazed that there hasn't been a"Will Spyfall fail" betting pool set up. That would be too much, even for me(and I'm not a Craig fan by any stretch of the imagination!)

Thank you for replying that way instead of dismissing me with a rolling eye smilie.katied wrote:Fair enough.....
We butted heads a lot and I admittedly acted like an ass in the early years of this forum, so I hope to put that behind.

Plus, If it does do well, setting up a betting pool would be a sucker's bet!

I can't see it not doing well in the US in its opening week, though Twiglet looks set to blow it out of the water the following week.
