I got carried away, I like every Bond film and am confident that Skyfall will carry on the tradition of keeping up the quality of the 22 films and the British end up!
Not so sure the director doesn't want to change the tradition. The quality dropped in 2008 even with less of budget Skynet can't be as bad quality wise.Maybe.
What do you mean? All the Bond films are great! Skyfall should be no different, maybe even better I mean it has Roger Deakins lensing it! That's class!

Welcome tehmanis
I'm not sure those movies trump Qos, however welcome all the same

QOS is the only Bond film I find truly unwatchable (even CR had its moments), but DAF is fairly near the bottom of my list. Connery was starting to show his age, and Charles Gray's Blofeld was barely recognisable as being the same character previously played by Donald Pleasance and Telly Savalas.

Connery to Lazenby to Connery..........Pleasance to Savalas to Gray............poor continuity by Eon then, and it continues now with rebooting characters that already existed in the minds of fans. The vast number of Leiters was ridiculous as well.

Prune? How about a danish Mexican amphibian? By the way, the Los Angeles Kings and the New Jersey Devils are in the Stanley Cup finals. Being from NY I will root for the New Jersey Devils. Will you be rooting for your Los Angeles Kings?

The Lazenby thing was beyond their control to a certain extent, but I don't know why they kept recasting the roles of Blofeld and Leiter. I know that Jack Lord later went on to success in Hawaii Five-O, but that wasn't until the seventies. Anyone know why they didn't keep using him as Leiter before then? I don't know that he was the best Leiter (David Hedison has that honour for me), but he was the first.

The only Bond film I can't watch is QOS. I hate it with a vengence.
all the others I can watch depending on my mood. Something light like DAF
or more serious FRWL or an over the top Fest of Fun like YOLT.
As for jack Lord, I seem to remember reading he didn't feel he was being paid enough, this could be correct
given the court case Connery took to get what he though he was owed.
Favorite Bond Movie: Moonraker Goldfinger The Spy Who Loved Me
Favorite Movies: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Crazy For Christmas, The Empire Strikes Back, League of Gentlemen (1960's British film), Big Trouble in Little China, Police Academy 2, Carry On At Your Convenience, Commando, Halloween III: Season of the Witch,
Favorite Bond Movie: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible, Kingsman: The Secret Service and The November Man or any upcoming actioners starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good since it will help him expand his reputation as an actor especially in the action realm)
Favorite Movies: Star Wars Indiana Jones Star Trek The Dark Knight Trilogy Harry Potter Middle-Earth The Matrix Mission: Impossible The Mummy Jurassic Park Godzilla

That makes sense as Jack Lord apparently turned down the role of Captain Kirk before Shatner because he didn't think he was being offered enough money.
