I was trying to bring it all in to context. It's not a big deal IMO.

Yes old man. We were discussing how the first Daniel Putin as Bond DVD is an all out flop compared to Brozzer's DAD!

Flop? *eyebrow raise* Hardly, esspecially when the new Blu-Ray disc for CR is selling this time around which should effect the regular DVD takings, no doubt.

I think the poor DVD sales and the lack of a video game and other lucrative tie-ins point to a bigger problem.

Much like Tim Dalton, Craig's first film managed to be more successful than the last film of his predecessor, a pattern shared by all Bonds except Lazenby. Like Dalton however, I think having seen Craig much of the public, at least American audiences, didn't really buy into him as Bond, and the sales of this DVD are evidence of this.

Out of all the people I know who saw the film, only one really liked Craig as Bond. The rest were less than enthusiastic because they thought the film was a pretty good one but it didn't feel like a Bond film because of Craig.

The next film will prove whether not they have built a new audience for Bond or that this is just a repeat of the Dalton's reign.

And for the record, I like Dalton very much as Bond.

I guess you weren't joking. How do the sky-high sales of the DVD, which are single-handedly credited with turning Blu-Ray into the VHS of the current format wars, leaving rival HD-DVD as the Betamax, prove that Craig was a flop? You'll be telling me the "boycott" was successful next.

Sky-high DVD sales? They've sold half the number DAD sold at this point in 2007 dollars. Am I supposed to be impressed by a 50% downturn?
