What does Barbara mean the "50th Anniversary year"? Her awful Craig Bond franchise has only been going for 6 years.

More negative Skyfall reviews are coming in on IMDb. People are saying that they either hate it, or think it's only mediocre. I think when things finally clam down, Skyfall will just be considered as an average Bond film at best.

I was looking at IMDB and noticed a wierd statistic... I am not saying women can't enjoy 007 but I always thought 007 was kind of a guy thing. On IMDB aside from 18 and under the women tend to ejoy Skyfall alittle more.

Interesting-I've always been a Bond fan ..but I grew up around brothers and a dad who loved the Seannery/Moore years,so there are exceptions to every rule!

I've always considered James Bond to be for everyone. Men, women, and even children could all enjoy watching Bond. It's all the various elements/characteristics that made Bond so fun and unique that appeals to more people than most other spy films.

More negative Skyfall reviews are coming in on IMDb. People are saying that they either hate it, or think it's only mediocre. I think when things finally clam down, Skyfall will just be considered as an average Bond film at best.

IMDB always attract the scumbags, so I wouldn't take too much notice of those comments. I wouldn't take any notice if they were praising the film either.

Currently at work in my office, several different people have now seen Skyfall (not diehard Bond fans), and all loved it. Me and the wife are seeing it for the third time this weekend, and a few of my mates have seen it twice at the cinema.

General consensus from people I am in contact with are just as OTT with praise as the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. This is a very different reaction to QoS, as some people I spoke to hated that film when it was released.

Skyfall is in a very different league altogether. I think this will go down in Bond history as one of the all-time greats once the dust has settled.

Brace yourselves, Twi-hards: The ending of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" might not be the one that you know and love from the Stephenie Meyer book when it plays out on the big screen this month.

"Twilight" star Taylor Lautner -- who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the hugely successful vampire movie series -- admitted during his interview with "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno on Wednesday night that the final film of the series, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," will deviate from the book it's based on.

"[T]here's a twist, because the ending -- I don't wanna give anything away -- is a little different from maybe, what was in the book," Leno said.

"You know," Lautner said, "there's a very thin line, because the fans would freak on us if we changed anything too much ... I can confirm there is a twist, and I can confirm everybody can find out what it is on Nov. 16." (Bond mania ends here Sweeney. It opens against nothing November 9.)

I gave it a read, not sure any conclusion can be drawn from it, sound too much like Comic Con ratings. And these business are using twitter now I don't know enough about it maybe its only personal twitter being counted but.

What are the presales in the US? that's the best indication I've never seen a movie that bragged about the presales open low.

I get the impression that Skyfall is regarded as an average movie and not the all time great blockbuster that the first reviews said it was (reviews which caused some of us on DCINB to have an existential crisis ). Also of interest is that many reviewers are saying it is unlike any other Bond movie.

It's not a colony any more mate.
If the exact number of people who went to the Quark opener go to Skyfall then you will be happy with it. I'm not so sure they can pull in that many. Pull in a lot sure, pull in as many as before???

Going over the solid numbers, Skyfall has not set the world on fire yet. Unless the holdover this week is much better than anticipated it's only average.

The last wild card is China. Although Germany has been a fan of the craggy one.
