His whole life revolves around around a lemon faced jerk being deemed suitable in the role? What is so compelling about Cr-egg as Bond to you EA? Do you forget his looks http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J6huhYaJPJ8/T ... raig_6.JPG when watching it? DC is more like a stuntman than an actor.
'BJ' ....remember this chap 'Rye' slammed Craigs QOS as a truly dreadful movie....so i dont think he is that biased!

This is very encouraging from James Bond 007 Magazine -

It's my contention that the tone of a Bond film is the hardest thing to get right - too flippant (à la Moonraker) and you lose all sense of reality; too serious (à la Quantum of Solace) and the glamour evaporates, leaving you with nothing more than a hollow series of action sequences; equally fatally, if you attempt but fail to balance humour and seriousness, you risk a fiasco like the irredeemably awful Die Another Day. It's therefore to Mendes' credit that he gets the tone and tenor of Skyfall spot on; this is a Bond film which provides some outrageous spectacle, as well as incorporating some bizarre almost surreal touches which would be at home in a Fleming novel, as well as some killer one-liners reminiscent of the Connery era at its best. However, this is also a film which maintains an admirable seriousness of intent, most notably in its determination for its characters to have three dimensions, rather than act as bland ciphers or clothes horses. Skyfall never becomes too light-hearted but, equally, the joyless earnestness that plagued Quantum of Solace has been banished. It might sound like a contradiction in terms, but perhaps the best way I can characterise Skyfall is to call it a 'serious romp'!
See I don't get the odd double standards. Alien to Bond, bizarre, surreal, serious romp.
I think this is exactly why it is getting rave reviews. Mendes has somehow managed the impossible of combining all these elements into a film where it actually works. Heaven knows that EON have been trying for years to do this successfully. Looks like now they have finally managed to do just that.

If Graham Rye thinks Skyfall is 10/10 (not forgetting he gave QoS 1/10) then I really think this film will be something special.

After 14 reviews, and Skyfall is still on 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.......

Graham Rye said Casino Royale was brilliant and I was prepared to believe him but hated the film when I saw it. Skyfall might be amazing but I'm afraid it will all be wasted on us this the second we get our first look at Daniel Craig's haggard face again. I have no idea why anyone is happy for James Bond to look like a diminutive construction worker.

The Drake speaks the truth :!: Gee wiz, what happened? http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/industry ... 0352.story Hype did not get it to number 1............Gangnam Style will retake a higher spot over the next month...........hype only goes so far.....FBF, I told you this song would not be anything great......It's OK, plain, dull, and boring...........now the film's next to debunk Sweeney's eternal over the top optimism.

Until Bond 23 crashes and burns down and receives no nominations(s) from big American movie awards, we will use foreign avatars like the ones you and I have now. Yours may a Bond avatar, but technically, it's not a Bond avatar. Anyway, if Sweenster is right, every rebel here shall switch to foreign avatars effective immediately. DCINB will be mausoleum, and this forum will and shall become the Anti-James Bond community where everybody does it better than Bond. Indy, the Bat, Harry, Avengers, Bourne, Trek captains, Narnians, Katniss.....you name them.

My life used be revolved around the Bond franchise the day Pierce was horribly dismissed. Now it's all about the Bat even after Bale's bat.

Speaking of the Bat, I like to see another interpretation of the Dark Knight, but it's too soon at this point. I give it another 7 to 10 years, and I say put the 2nd reboot in a TV format. What do you think, BJ?

You do know how crazy you sound, right?

Daniel Craig is only the actor hired by the production company who makes James Bond movies. He's not Lucifer.

I don't agree with the decision to reboot, in one hand it was brilliant move in another they have no idea to keep it going. If Skyfall is a good movie it should probably be his last. The way I'm told it wraps up it's a possibility. Pierce Brosnan kept hanging on hoping they hand him another GoldenEye if Craig makes the same mistake he'll go out making cookie cutter Bonds that will be worse than the Quantum of Solace.

To date, the only live-action version of Ant-Man was when Garrett Morris played him in a skit on Saturday Night Live in the 1970s. Margot Kidder was the host and the skit had Superman (Bill Murray) and Lois Lane (Kidder) hosting a party for super heroes.

The Hulk (John Belushi) was bullying Ant Man. "And what's your power?"

Ant Man: "I can shrink to the size of an ant but still have the strength of a human."

Hulk: "Ewwwwwwww. He has the strength of a human!"

I fall in this category. I went to see CR and and left heated. Saw QoS and it was a hot mess. It was so bad that a person who sat behind me questioned Bond's sexual preference by calling Bond a gay slur, in which I would never thought would ever happen. But I have to continue our family tradition of seeing it on the first day....and this time in IMAX.

Now I'm not saying all Craig fans are like that. There are open-minded Craig fans, such as Sweeney, who see the faults in things like tinkering or removing traditional Bond elements, and who don't agree with every decision the producers make. But there are quite a few new fans that don't care or understand what made Bond so popular in the first place. And as I said before, because the fan base has been split in two, the producers are going to have a very difficult time with pleasing both audiences. But by the looks of it, It seems they rather just cater to the new audience than the old one.

Its all about the money. The newer, A.D.D./Bourne-influenced crowd is who they're catering too. Skyfall will be no different...you can see it in the trailer.

I don't know about you, but you're letting the enemy win in the US. I don't want us to be enemies, but I'm sure our friend BJ would agree on this matter.

I would not contribute 1 dime to this film in the theatres. If you do, Eon wins. Not from me. I have boycotted this franchise in the cinema since 2006 and will continue to do so until George the animal Steele takes over the Bond role if this is the NEW direction Eon is propagating, right FBF?

Sweeney has this film doing TDK numbers :!:  Here in the USA DC is not liked at all. His films are all bombs and his Bond look is dreadful and hideous. Overseas tastes are obviously different and that I can no longer account for since Garfield did way too high an overseas box office for that pile of spider waste he spun. It was embarrassing that any society would spend money to see such garbage and equally appalling that Danielle Cr-egg is deemed worthy of anything in Hollywood. It speaks volumes to this decaying culture around us to have a classless dolt be the James Bond ambassador but we all know the reason it occurred.

George is too old now. Bring in Marilyn Manson since he's only 43.
