Taylor-Johnson seems to be maturing well with age. He isn't Tom Cullenish who has that Connery looks older than you are thing going on (which can be good or bad) but he doesn't look like a member of a boy band either.

It was a flashback to 1955, with very Conneryesque costume design, complete with hat. Unfortunately, it appears to have been taken down, presumably for copyright reasons, and I have been unable to find the clip elsewhere, so you'll have to make do with a still:

Little too short (5' 10")?
Isn't that Craig's height?
Yes, I'd previously identified the fact that he is the same height as Craig as his only negative, and it's the reason he's only #5 on my list. But he has the right look, and his performance in Being Human had just the right mix of brooding intensity and dry humour.

Don't know who he is, but he reminds me a little of Sonny Carisi in Law & Order: SVU.

That's show is what the article I posted that had the picture of Turner that you stated had a "Dalton vibe." That picture also showed up on one of the more Craig friendly Bond sites. I'm beginning to think the more people see Turner with this look the more his support for being the next Bond will go up. This might be for him what Croupier was for Clive Owen as far as fans seeing him as Bond.

It might actually make him less popular among Craig fans. The more Bondian he looks, the more they will dismiss him as "a safe, predictable choice", while insisting that clever people like them want someone "surprising" like, oh, I dunno, let's say Whoopi Goldberg.

Do you really believe that? I don't really think Craig was anyone's first choice among the five or six heavily rumuored candidates for Casino Royale (Vinjsc, Worthington, O'Loughlin, Cavill, and Mcmahon) but I think a lot of Bond fans myself included took the approach of here's our Bond lets see how it goes. I for one like Craig as Bond but I'm also ready to move on to a more traditional looking 007 be it Turner Cullen Friend or whomever.
