Which is exactly the effect James Bond is supposed to have on us women, as opposed to "EEEEK NOOO WHAT IS THIS!" when Daniel Craig appears (at least for my friends and I).

And just for good measure, let's repeat, because drooling over the ACTUAL JAMES BOND is always good:

I can't quite get over how bloody perfect he is as James Bond. It's embarrassing to think the idiots at Eon picked Craig over him when CR was filmed... they'd have their pockets WAY fuller by now not to mention a HUGE rising star in their hands.

Well I just got back from the Chiller theatre convention in New Jersey and it was well worth the 50 minute trip :!: We went to the usual restaurant 1 mile from the Hilton hotel where the convention is held at and were there for 2 hours having dinner and looking for possible celebrity sightings.........nothing...........2 hours, no Lou Ferrigno, no Bond girls Paluzzi nor D'abo, nothing...........so off we went to the 9:00pm customary dance party they always have with their convention band, the dead Elvi. We were standing in the lobby area where the band always plays and my friend, the eminent NYC Bond aficionado Dr. Steven Sarin, and I, went over to the sectioned off area near the stage where the performers hang out until they go on stage. We noticed Mike D'abo, a singer from the group Manfred Mann standing across from us talking to a really cute blonde girl, http://www.oliviadabo.net/Welcome_files/photo.jpg who was going to sing with him on stage next. We decided to ask him who she was. He told us she was his daughter, Olivia D'abo. He then went on stage with his daughter. As they were singing, to my amazement, who walked right by us and stood literally 10 feet to our right?.............Maryam D'abo :!: I knew we needed to seize this opportunity before she disappeared so we went over to her and the eminent Dr. Steven Sarin, who loves Bond films as much as any of us, asked her point blank, what she thought about Danielle Cr-egg as Bond. Her response puzzled us to be honest. She stated," I like him. :cuss: The problem has been the prior 2 scripts have not been character driven. Maybe this upcoming one will be better". What was she watching with CR and QOS? She was a bit standoffish so we left her alone and she walked over to hang out with her cousin and second cousin. She is now 51 and married to this: http://static1.purepeople.com/articles/ ... 37x0-1.jpg  Hugh Hudson, age 75, the director of Chariots Of Fire. That must be the ONLY reason she married him, for Henry Cavill he 'ain't' :!: Interesting first hand account from another former Bond girl. Ekland does not like DC but D'abo and Adams do. In 6 weeks I will be at another new convention in New Jersey and maybe I can run into Rachel Grant from DAD and get her take on Danielle. http://www.supermegashow.com/guests2012/rachel.jpg http://www.supermegashow.com/

Looks like some people are slating the avengers , one even has the balls to say it's as bad as quantum of solace (ie explosion after explosion)..first off avengers is nothing like that steaming pile of turdrot called quark, it has great characterisation first, secondly it has a few emotional unexpected moments that really got you, third the cgi wasn't just being thrown on the screen it was used in all the right places without being overdone unlike a lot of hollywood films to date, finally it also completed some character transformations and brought them full circle (if you've seen their repsective movies before this) and if I had the money right now I'd gladly go back to the cinema and see it again, the film was just that bloody d**n good      (that's 5 out of 5 from Me).

The jokes in the film and Weddons writing are great, I won't spoil anything because it's not fair on anyone here who hasn't seen it so I'll keep quiet but yeah all I've got to say to people who thought it was like quark when it was the complete opposite and something more like the films of old like indiana jones and star wars ( a classic and in the words of Samuel L Jackson, a real motherbeeping one at that), sorry for the contant post and praise for this film...ah I'm not sorry, this film deserves all the praise it gets and first time in a while it's a film that fully deserves the hype, no glowy sparkling vampire emo bs here or spys with more layers than shrek who want to be shakespeare no just pure fun & the sequel can't come soon enough.

Ale: I think I might've found out why the man of steel's been delayed to next year now, if it's due to the avengers maybe dc after releasing the man of steel next year aim to make a justice league film after they see how avengers performs (and it's done an impressive job already in Europe and the UK and yet to come to you guys, it may've one of the best openings in a longtime) and that's what I think dc's doing, testing the waters, if avengers works then after man of steel and nolans batman trilogy finishes this year I can see it all coming together for some reason (call it a hunch) but with dcs pletora of films out now as well that explain their origins (green lantern, nolands batman, hell flash will probably get a film soon as well) it's all falling into place, that & I've been hearing rumours ever since dkr filming was finished that Nolan may go on to help direct justice league or help somewhere in it.

yeah I question some peoples tastes to compare quark with the avengers, it's stupid and doesn't make any sense.

FBF: bond's 40th sounds more accurate, the last 10 or so years haven't been bonds & I'm not celebrating this incarnations (or babs pet).

If Cr-egg is held over for Bond 24, aka, "Why On Earth :?:" , are you done waiting for this franchise to straighten out?

I hope Batman won't be rebooted to fit into the Justice League movie. One reboot is good enough, and the 2nd reboot is rather redundant and a waste of talents and hard work that was put into the Begins trilogy. I think the Bat is perfect at where it is.....grounded in a realistic setting, and I hope other DC Comic film follows the same path although they're part of the sci-fi genre. As for Bale, maybe he is not the best Bat ever, but I don't want another replacement too often. And if you want a rebooted DC Comic movie, do the Green Lantern instead. Any thoughts on this BJ and Shaken?

Reynolds and Parallax, that flying intergalactic dreadlocked villain, ruined The Green Lantern. I want to see how the new Hulk does in the Avengers. Bale won't do an ensemble cast as Batman I would bet. Get someone else for the Lantern role.

Napoleon Solo wrote:I remember when the first Iron Man movie came out in 2008 that I felt it was the best comic-book based movie I had seen to that point. It was faithful to its source material (the filmmakers cherry picked various elements -- when you've published for more than 40 years there are all sorts of eras to choose from). Some shots even seemed modeled on specific issues. I just had a great time.

Some of these movies I like better than others (I also liked the Captain America movie last year). But I find it interesting that in many of these movies they actually do draw elements, story lines, etc. from the originals. Compare that movies based on TV shows (where the film makers often seem to disdain the source material) and it's quite a contrast.
Favreau said Iron Man was possible because Bond stopped being Bond in 2006 they found a way to do their take on Tony Stark as a kind of playboy character with cool tech.Never thought I care about Captain America,Planet of the Apes,Star Trek,Iron Man,Mission Impossible movies,X-men,Sherlock Homes, more care is going in to making these kind of movies d**n shame Bond went off the rails right when Hollywood started taking notice of how to do fantastic adventures series properly.

WB said that it intents to keep the DC Comic superheroes separate in their respective universes. If this is the case, it would be better to leave Justice League out of the big screen for a while, and it's better than recasting DC characters that were already shown in on-screen, especially with Batman. Green Lantern is an exception since Reynolds' film is not that great to begin with.

That couple looks weird MP and if he wasn't a Hollywood director would she even give him the time of day? I found her mindset strange, wearing her PINK framed glasses by the way, that she felt his first two Bond films were not character driven. What were they then? Another Hollywood loon. Check out this clip of her from 2010: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J06hMJbZ9l4 and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcDXKAJL270

I don't care what this article said. I'm not going to see it.

http://movies.yahoo.com/news/007-film-d ... 14370.html

Where is Hellboy when you need him? As said before, everything is preferable over Bond these days.

Image

And we'll need more than just the Bat, vampires, Middle Earth creatures, and the Avengers to annihilate DC's Bond. There's Madagascar 3 and Ice Age 4.

Ben Lyons and Ben Mankiewicz are one of these people. On QOS, they said in At The Movies back in November 2008 that audience should "see it". I was hoping at least one of them would say "skip it" or even "rent it" but NO!!!!

In Fleming's last novels, Mendes said, Bond suffered from a "combination of lassitude, boredom, depression, difficulty with what he's chosen to do for a living, which is to kill. That makes him a much more interesting character, and some of those things are explored in this movie, because Daniel as an actor is capable of exploring them." This statement will guarantee a flop for Bond 23, aka DREADFUL, AWFUL, etc. I cannot believe such drivel is being spoken of for a Bond film. Cr-egg looks hideous in that picture as well and this shmuck has no idea what he is talking about. He is a clueless and arrogant pile of acting manure in Hollywood and his very presence on the screen is enough to detest any rational individual with a modicum of taste in humanity. Disssssssssssssssssssssssssssssgusting individual.      http://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/Uh_DGf ...
