Wilson teased the forthcoming 23rd outing from 007, saying that it will have a "magical 1960s feel," offering a "very special cinema-going experience." Speaking to The People, he said: "The director Sam Mendes and Daniel are taking it back to a ‘60s feel - more Sean Connery. I think that’s what the fans wanted. "There’s a magical Goldfinger feel surrounding it all. It's all very exciting. I can't wait for people to see the movie because I think we’re making a very special Bond." {I thought MGW believed this new reboot is what the fans wanted . What we want is no DC. Now, he is saying the fans want a Connery-esque 1960s Bond? Is this guy on crack? His statements no longer are in sync. Twilight's finale will absolutely destroy this mess of a Mendes non-Bond 23 the week after it opens. }

What? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Craig with a marine haircut, pointy shoes and a tie that's WAY too slim to him is 60s!??!?! does he have ANY idea what the fashion of the 60s is and how Sean Connery was dressed? I think you're right. Dude must be on crack. This is on top of him saying the reboot is what we all needed. And just :lol: at this having a Goldfinger feel!? Bond in either exaggeratedly contemporary designs OR in horrible outfits like those we saw for the first scene, homeless person-like. And let's not forget the beard without the appropriate sideburns. Dude has no idea what he is even talking about.

Ale, it gets better: Michael G. Wilson, co-boss of Eon Productions, which produces the James Bond films, gave an interview to USA Today that was published Feb. 1. Though Bond has found competition of late in the form of Mission: Impossible installments, Liam Neeson’s action films and, particularly, Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne series, 007 continues to resonate. “There are plenty of imitators, but Bond really is the first one that was an anti-hero. Craig is a great actor who takes it back to the Sean days. We’ve gone full circle,” says Skyfall producer Michael Wilson. {This guy copied the BOURNE and now MI:4 story lines. Did he forget The Bourne Mimicry, aka, QOS? I think he is beyond delusional now. He must be on crack cocaine. How can he shovel such stuff to the public with a straight face :?: :shock: }

Mikey was in his early 20s when Goldfinger was made, he had zero responsibility and no input, yeah I think there is a correlation. :twisted:

Goldfinger is the movie that put Bond on the map, the movie one most people remember when the name Bond, James Bond comes up in a conversation, of course he is going to compare/promote his current abomination using one of Cubby's finest achievements (although I think it is overrated). Wonderful homage they did to it in Quark.
Goldfinger also a movie where they faked a lot of locations. Maybe that is the magic Mikey feels because as long as Craig is in the role they will never come close the humor and chemistry Connery had.

Mikey did not want Craig neither did Amy Pascal, she was pushing for someone more like Clive Owen and was in talks with Borzza a few weeks before the disastrous sea sick Craig announcement . But like anybody in Hollywood if life gives you s**t you sell s**t sandwiches. Talk about the unique flavor, beautiful bouquet, how it's the chefs interpretation of a ethnic delicacy. Never mention you know it is excrement or how badly you compromised the brand to do this.

Mikey does not want to do a movie every two years either. Someone is going to have to force the issue after this.

BTW Craig is the anti-hero, as Craig put it Bond is the man we love to hate, in reality James Bond is a HERO. FACT
“The secret of (Ian) Fleming’s success is that, in the age of the anti-hero, he has created a romantic hero. Neither helpless nor neurotic, James Bond transports us to a world where all things are possible: adventure, love and glory.”
There is rumor making the rounds that Craig looks the way he does in Skyfall because he/Bond quit sometime before the movie begins and is brought back to active duty. I don't know if I believe that yet.

Health tip of the day:" LENTILS" (in soup)
Rx Effect: Reduce blood pressure

THE EVIDENCE: One international study followed 12,763 people in the United States, Japan, and six European countries for 25 years. When the results were tallied, legumes--such as lentils--were associated with an 82% reduction in the risk of death from heart disease. The reasons include not only lean vegetable protein and fiber but also folate, magnesium, and potassium. George Mateljan, the author of The World's Healthiest Foods, calls magnesium "nature's own calcium channel blocker"--a type of drug that fights hypertension. And by counterbalancing salt, potassium is crucial for keeping blood pressure under control. "ORANGES": Rx Effect: Reduce blood pressure, cholesterol and heart failure THE EVIDENCE: Oranges contain a pharmacy's worth of salves for the heart. The soluble fiber pectin acts like a giant sponge, sopping up cholesterol in food and blocking its absorption--just like a class of drugs known as bile acid sequestrants. And the potassium in oranges helps counterbalance salt, keeping blood pressure under control. But new research shows something even more startling: Citrus pectin helps neutralize a protein called galectin-3 that causes scarring of heart tissue, leading to congestive heart failure--a condition that is often difficult to treat with drugs. "Twenty percent of Americans over 50 have high galectin-3," says Pieter Muntendam, MD, CEO of BG Medicine in Waltham, MA. "A 2009 study showed that a diet high in fruits and vegetables decreased the risk of heart failure by 37%." TRY: Pectin is contained in the pulp and pith. You'll get more of it in juice with pulp. Or better yet, eat your oranges.

I don't think the new Bourne movie will suffer from the lack of Damon, FBF will have kittens but I'm not a Damon fan and we know from the previous movies there were a lot of these special op guys running around, Renner if he is the guy I'm thinking of was great in MI4.

Maybe just maybe Spyfail will have to be careful they don't seem like ripoffs coming so closely on the heels of The Bourne Legacy. I expect the same over blown frantic action the Bourne movies had and CR Qos copied to be in SF, along with the same anti government "are we bad guys or good guys I can't tell the difference any more" story telling.

What this third virus needs is to CRASH and BURN much worse than QOS in every way, especially here in the US.

I will never understand why the Borune series was something the Eon thought they had to copy, imitate, whatever.

MGW saying other spys copied Bond was correct before MGW helped to kill off 007 and reboot a brash man of action in place of the gentleman spy, making Bond/Eon the imitators instead of leaders in the spy movie genre.

The kid was superb! And the chemistry between him and Jim Caviezel was awesome! next week looks like another absolutely GREAT episode. I will repeat myself once again... people on here should check it out if that isn't a show for Bond fans, I don't know what is! The person was someone who worked on the show I think, but not sure.

Exactly. Bond used to be the one who set the trend and was copied. USED TO, simple past Michael G. Wilson, not simple present. And YOU are to blame for this because you didn't have the balls to stop your sister from running the franchise to the ground. It's so pathetic. Poor Cubby.

Take it with a large pinch of salt. I heard grumblings about the Bond quits idea some time ago because Craig looks so haggard as Bond and the beard photo has people wondering what the hell EON is thinking. From one point of view with this melancholy Craig-Bond it makes perfect sense. To a Bond fan it completely off the f**king wall batshit insane!

Yeah he's mixing it with his Alzheimer meds to bad results. Bond as an anti-hero is only as recent as 2006 starting with Craig who said Bond is the man you love to hate, pretty much in line with what Babs was saying to.

There has got to be some bad juju happening behind the scenes for MGW to be going off the rails like this. Hopefully he take Babs with him when he derails.
MGW had understood what made Bond work 10 years ago even if he was a example of nepotism gone bad and had his hand in screwing up the franchise in the 1970s and 1980s.

This is all adding up to a HUGE Mendes bomb after the first weekend and the word spreads about this trash. Ten years now wasted from the Pierce era.............and still counting. :x It appears this part is pretty much confirmed: " an insider at EON Production revealed to MovieWeb that "Skyfall" will be Dench's final 007 appearance as M, and Fiennes is set to carry on the character into the unforeseeable future. The insider said, "Ralph Fiennes plays a government agent, which we never get a name on, because he is set to play the new M." 'Skyfall' centers around M (Dench) where her past forces her to leave as head of MI6, and find a new M. The board of MI6 then turns to a government agent (Fiennes) to take over," explained the source. "M is now forced to train the new head of MI6." {I find it odd Fiennes would take on a small role like this UNLESS Eon promised him bigger parts in upcoming films. It's pretty ridiculous what is going on here with these strange casting decisions that Eon is making with Mendes. Will this clown director be brought back as well as DC once again?}
