Yep....i do agree, the look the filmakers have given Craig for this new film don't look right for the actor or Bond.

Mendes and MGW and the green vegetable are to blame. This is the new look they are going for: http://www.benevolentstreet.com/wp-cont ... steele.jpg

Oh, I don't know. The franchise has survived Live and Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun, Moonraker, Sean Connery's hairpiece, Sheriff JW Pepper, A View to A Kill, Moore's man-girdle, Moore's painted-on hair, double-taking pigeons, a leading lady who couldn't speak English, Denise Richards, and Die Another Day. I think it'll manage to survive Daniel Craig's hair being a half-inch too short. He's got funny looking hair anyway.

Saw MI:4 it is nothing short of GREAT!

And like oscar said above, Person of Interest ROCKED this week, it was BEYOND awesome... the show really does keep getting better and better, and thankfully the ratings are doing the same... rock on!

So next is... HENRY CAVILL AS JAMES BOND to follow my lead. :D
Another horrible Craig photo. (like the suit, dislike the tie, way too thin). He looks so d**n old, and it's not even because of his age, it's just because of how HE looks. d**n, he looks way older than his age.

All of what you mentioned is WAY better than anything Craig did as Bond (yes including Denise Richards and Die Another Day). CR is one of the most overrated things ever, the only honest one about it was one of the most famous Italian movie critics, who, being a major Fleming and Bond fan, said it was utter rubbish the moment it was released, instead of letting Sony's oil machine get in the way and pay him off. And QoS is WAY worse than all of the above. Craig's hair is just the tip of the iceberg.. it's ALL the rest that is destroying the franchise. QoS was the first ever Bond movie to make the studio book a loss, and it is by far the worst-ever Bond movie made. Hands down and no contest, because the others at least had James Bond in it and they had good action sequences filmed by people who knew how to handle that.

Actually, NON Bond movie because this is the major problem: all of the supposedly bad things you mentioned were still part of ACTUAL James Bond movies, while Craig's films just are not. (No, not even CR, and don't get me stated on how Eva Green was an INSULT to how Vesper is portrayed and described in the book). Now that they're also making it very evident that their intention is to eliminate all traces of the presence of the CLASS AND STYLE that DEFINE James Bond (otherwise he would be a random spy just like ALL OTHER spies in movies), the work is complete. Destruction done. Also, what will tank the franchise is not just Craig's absolutely inadequate aspect, which will make people fail to understand what they're actually watching (they'll have to make sure he says JAMES BOND many times or otherwise people wouldn't know that's the character they're watching), but the way he portrays the character and the way they are conceiving the movies. The character and movie concept and execution is the main problem here. Together of course with the absolutely miscast lead. Skyfall especially is really shaping up to be WORSE than QoS. All of the news so far point in an extremely bad direction. The same as QoS, except worsened a bit. (Which I didn't think was possible, but somehow by what's been leaked so far, they're accomplishing that mission, too ).

Gala, did you enjoy the Australian Open tennis final last weekend down under? Did Lazenby and Dalton do OK by you? You seem to belittle Connery, Moore, and Brosnan, admire Cr-egg, so where do you stand on Dalton and Lazenby? I always thought you loved Sheriff Pepper by the way.

Well, since you asked. The first four bond films were fine and I liked Connery generally, he just needed a better piece in DAF (the first Bond film I saw in a theatre, paid for with my hard earned paper route money, but which I found disappointing). OHMSS is my second favorite Bond film. I enjoyed TLD, but Casino Royale is my favorite. QOS was disappointing, with a half-baked script, but Craig's energy kept it going.

I didn't see any of the Australian Open. I find modern tennis a little boring. I'm more of a serve and volley aficionado. But thanks for asking.

I hope this will come true. What Bond 23: Nothing Special deserves is to end up like Jaws: The Revenge.

Yikes! I just saw this picture Craig is difficult to take / believe as Bond but this is really bad. I remember being shocked seeing Pierce Brosnan with the woolly beard doing interview while filming DAD, well actually he was promoting another movie but it was durign teh time he was supposed to be fimling DAD he had gotten hurt on set so they took a break and he grew a beard everyone would ask him if he was going to shave it before filming began and he smile and say no this was for Bond. It was a great tease for the movie. These pictures I do not like

DC looks more like a Presidential Secret Service agent protecting the President than Bond in those pictures. Tattoo dropped off the radar now into 21st place and is basically done in the USA, except for mop up time with box office left over viewers, with around $99 million both in the USA and the same amount overseas. $300 million total predicted by Pascal's gurus? I think not. DC is an equal opportunity loser. He bombs just as well in the USA as he does internationally. He is a NEVER WAS type actor who is a legend in his own mind. Get this, Radcliffe's The Woman In Black did $21 million opening weekend as a horror film which is the SAME amount Cr-egg's Dream House did here in 7 weeks before it was canned, and both are rated PG-13! Talk about who has star power to bring in audiences. Radcliffe wins over Danielle :!: FBF, what say yee to Potter slaying the dragon DC?
TGWTDT: Domestic: $99,900,000 50.2%
+ Foreign: $99,300,000 49.8%
= Worldwide: $199,200,000

Potter VS DC's Bond. Potter WINS! Even though the boy wizard has finished saving the world, I'll still be buying those merchandises of Harry's universe.

His non-Potter PG-13 film beat DC's Dream House big time.

WHAT BJ!??!? I didn't dare say anything but Boston is my home and I have basically a second family there, so was rooting for the Patriots. It was one HELL of a game, but if I was Tom Brady I'd strangle a couple of those receivers... that one who didn't get that fantastic ball and made them lose the game basically, just deserves to be sent to football hell! LOL Still, it was a fantastic game. And now... TIME FOR THE VOICE!

I like Brady and Belichick. Welker dropping that ball in his hands at 4:00 minutes left was the game. Giants were lucky to even be in the Superbowl after that San Francisco punt returner screwed up twice. The Patriots should have accepted the ball at the start too instead of kicking it off. You never give the other team more offensive time than you in the Superbowl.

Completely share your analysis. Word for word. If I were Brady I'd freaking shoot the dude.

Tom Brady is not just an incredibly talented guy, he also happens to have a combination of things that makes a lot of men hate him. He's beautiful with a beautiful wife (and I mean there's no comparison with others... she is the highest paid model in the world for a reason). Takes a very self-assured man to appreciate that rather than envy it.
