I've seen it three times. I saw it in the cinema when it came out and then taped it off pay-per-view. I have watched the VHS copy twice, once with the commentary from Rifftrax.com (playing on my laptop), once without. Watching it with the Rifftrax commentary was a laugh, but the second time I saw it "straight", I actually enjoyed it less than when I saw it in the cinema. The second half in particular seemed much more draggy than I remembered it.Arthur Brain wrote:Incidently how many times did you guys see the film, in the hope that you

CM007 PM'd me he was planning on checking this site out. I hope he does.Skywalker wrote:I agree that he is like a yo-yo and I simply can't take his opinions seriously. Besides hating on Craig, he's been starting arguments that would have ended with one post but he desperately tries to keep it alive by bringing up something redundant or unrealistic. He did at one point said he loved Craig as Bond but from the very start I knew he was just joshing around because they were written pretty forced if you compared to his honest ones. Of course that didn't last and is now on some crusade (even if it's just him) to defend Brosnan and bash Craig, even if either have absolutely NOTHING to do with the topic. If a thread about Brosnan's non-Bond roles are put up, he'll start another Brosnan vs Craig rant and everyone is getting sick of it.
So no, let's not have him. He's a horrible debater and a inconsistent character. This forum has already gotten class anyways.he tried criticising my opinion (failed obviously).

I agree with Stocks that he would not add quality to this site, just quantity. There are far better poster's on this forum than him.
CM007, Cpt Arthurs and Vine would be good additions though.

The film was too long in general, and each time you watch it, that becomes more evident. I doubt the new one will be as long, even though the content will remain similar.Kristatos wrote:I've seen it three times. I saw it in the cinema when it came out and then taped it off pay-per-view. If you are a 'Craig as Bond' fan I guess you would be looking forward to it. If this is what you are looking for in the next Bond film, enjoy yourself. I ,for one, will have nothing to do with this franchise IF this is what EON's new direction entails. Maybe Nash, EA, The Sweenster, and the characters at MI6 and CB.net want this, but NOT I!

franchise, but do you think in the years ahead it will diminish your interest
in the Bond films, or do you have belief that the franchise will get back to what you consider to be the origins of the Bond character. I'am not being
funny but it does look like the current direction in the franchise could last a long time.
Having just read that article in 'The London NEWS' what would you think if Bond went nude, as Craig wants in the next film....................i'am sure
there would be an even larger female audience if that were the case.
BTW: Saw this on the BBC site today.........James Bond rules culture chart!

Nudity in a Bond film would have to be R-rated I would think. This is now way off the mark from what Bond was, and is headed out to sea, lost in translation, if this direction continues. Will women flock to see The Bourne Mimicry to get a glimpse of Craig's frontal nudity, as he wants? If so, how many parents will not take their children to offset this? The UK loves Craig, he is one of your own, no surprise there. Have fun in Italy. Have some fine pizza while you are there, and maybe you can find one of the 13 crystal skulls to boot that Indiana Jones will search for.

This new direction for the Bond films is ridiculous, Bourne is nothing like James Bond so i dont understand why they are trying to copy that kind of format. It's like Batman trying to copy Superman. Ridiculous!bjmdds wrote:Nudity in a Bond film would have to be R-rated I would think. It is time Eon named the film officially but I guess Haggis is still not finished with his rewrite, yet filming should start within 3 months. They might be rumours, but by everything Craig has said since he was anointed the Bond role, one can surmise his direction is one of 'pushing the R rated envelope' for his Bond films. Eon had to tone down the violence of his nude torture scene in CR.

Hiring a Bourne action director is proof positive of what Eon is up to.james stock wrote:This new direction for the Bond films is ridiculous, Bourne is nothing like James Bond so i dont understand why they are trying to copy that kind of format. November 08 is far off. Mind you Mr Skywalker officially gets wed in December 08 so it's not that far off.Captain Nash wrote:The title for Bond 22 will be revealed all in good time.
Patience bj, I know you're eager to slay anything about Bond 22 down.
As for the direction Craig wants the Bond films to go in. I seem to recall good 'ol Piercey wanted something similar.
I guess we'll find out come november '08.

Wed? Congratulations!!!!! I guess your posting days will be over after December 8. Take your new wife to see The Golden Compass on your honeymoon. It gets released that same weekend. Is Luke's fiancee a Bond fan and will she restrict your time here?Skywalker wrote:November 08 is far off. Mrs Skywalker (I still refer to her as Mrs Skywalker) has no problems with me coming on the forums. She has watched a few Bond films and even watched CR.bjmdds wrote:Wed? Congratulations!!!!! Her favourite Bond film is GE and Brosnan is her preferred choice for Bond.
