Yes, I've read The Secret of The Unicorn many times and Red Rackham only features briefly when Captain Haddock remembers an ancestor. This is not a Daniel Craig film at all. That would be like saying The Expendables is a Bruce Willis film. All the actors in the Tintin film are just lending their voices really so we'll be spared DC's craggy old mug.

"Dream House scared up a meek estimated $8.2 million. That's just a fraction of haunted house movies like The Skeleton Key ($16.1 million) and The Amityville Horror ($23.5 million), and it's even off a bit from Dark Water ($9.9 million). The movie received a "B" CinemaScore and the audience was 54 percent female and 62 percent under the age of 25. Hispanics were the largest ethnic group in attendance at 38 percent, which tends to be the case with supernatural thrillers." Why Hispanics made up the bulk of his audience is puzzling indeed. MI4 will bury TGWTDT on December 21 as well.
Agree on all counts. I've seen comments from actors about TGWTDT looking like a good movie, so I don't think it can be THAT bad, BUT I also don't think it stands a chance vs MI4 that looks REALLY good and is a much bigger attention-magnet.

Hi BJ  Sorry I've been so slacking, but unfortunately life has decided not to give me too much time to post.. I'm alive and kicking though. Enjoying Person of Interest on CBS A LOT! (new JJ Abrams show, and I think quite a few on here would like it..) and Pan Am too. Makes me nostalgic about the good old times... all that elegance and the fantastic music are so much better than what we get today. Sigh. :( Anyway, glad to see everyone is doing just fine. Aside from Craig of course, whose movies are doing crap as usual LOL
Person of Interest was a surprise.Better than the short ads CBS put up.

Tintin is not going to be a big USA film unless they start every ad for it with Steven Spielberg presents a Steven Spielberg film directed by Steven Spielberg, you might remember him from such films as ET,Jaws,Jurassic Park.

AH so glad you like Person of Interest... I think it's the best new series out there. And Jim Caviezel kicks ass in the role. I'm really enjoying it. I agree they could and should have done the advertising better. I think it may actually gain more viewers as it progresses... it may take some time for people to get to know it and adjust to it.

It's Steven Moffat's name on the credits that makes me want to see the film.

The new TV shows really have to have that certain something to keep from going off the air. There's already been one cancellation(The Playboy Club-one of several Mad Men wannabes this season) and probably more to follow soon.

http://cdn.buzznet.com/media-cdn/jj1/he ... illage.jpg I was in NYC this past Saturday. I would have LOVED to have bumped into this morose sasquatch on the street and introduced myself to him! He is getting more and more horrific to look at and when you realize the box office gold that was wasted on not having Jackman or Cavill in the Bond role it is utterly ridiculous! Ale, what say yee?

But still, let's put everything into this just to show how weak EON really is though they could care less.

Catwoman will drag down the storyline it seems compared to the Joker. I had hoped the Riddler would have surfaced and NOT a Jim Carrey type but a serious Joker type as Ledger portrayed.
