How many more flops will it take before The Money men in hollywood realise Craig is Boxoffice death.
Imagine how more sucessful CR might of been if the'y kept Pierce Brosnan and just gave him a decent script.

I'll wait for the weekend actuals to come in on Monday night, but BOM is now revising its prediction downwards to a mere $8 million for the weekend.

Deadline has a $8.2M and 6th place. It is an estimate that will be adjusted again.
Worst were those TV ads that stole scenes from The Shining. I think it’s high time that the distrusted and disliked Robinson switches professions and starts selling used cars instead of used movies.

Does Craig get a pass on this because we gave Pierce a pass on the SJP movie that bombed? Then again SJPs movie only cost $24 million and Pierce was not the main face selling it.

Has Craig had one hit that didn't have Babs Broccoli presents next to it?

No pass required. Pierce was NOT the center star, DC was. No film DC has led has made money as far as I can tell. As was predicted here, Dolphin Tale buried it at the box office. "Dream House scared up a meek estimated $8.2 million. That's just a fraction of haunted house movies like The Skeleton Key ($16.1 million) and The Amityville Horror ($23.5 million), and it's even off a bit from Dark Water ($9.9 million). The movie received a "B" CinemaScore and the audience was 54 percent female and 62 percent under the age of 25. Hispanics were the largest ethnic group in attendance at 38 percent, which tends to be the case with supernatural thrillers." Why Hispanics made up the bulk of his audience is puzzling indeed. MI4 will bury TGWTDT on December 21 as well.

It doesn't help that it wasn't screened for critics and ultimately wound up with a terrible 5 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Between this and July's Cowboys & Aliens, it's starting to appear like Craig isn't much of a draw outside of the James Bond franchise.
Ouch!

He might as well never leave now he has no career on the outside. GWTDT is his last chance I don't have any idea what people are looking for the books are famous is this enough to save it because Craig is not enough.

"Released by Universal, directed by multiple Oscar nominee Jim Sheridan, and starring Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, and Marton Csokas, Dream House lured even fewer patrons. At no. 6, the thriller brought in a paltry $2.66m at 2,661 locations, averaging only $1,000 per site. That's Craig's second box-office flop this year, following the highly disappointing performance of his pairing with Harrison Ford, Cowboys & Aliens, last summer." The world has taken notice.......Cr-egg's career has left the building! :happy spin:

I'm the total opposite-I got Digital cable a few years ago, and I love it-especially since they give you a DVR as part of the deal. And believe me, the DVR gets used.A LOT.

Agree on all counts. I've seen comments from actors about TGWTDT looking like a good movie, so I don't think it can be THAT bad, BUT I also don't think it stands a chance vs MI4 that looks REALLY good and is a much bigger attention-magnet.

Hi BJ  Sorry I've been so slacking, but unfortunately life has decided not to give me too much time to post.. I'm alive and kicking though. Enjoying Person of Interest on CBS A LOT! (new JJ Abrams show, and I think quite a few on here would like it..) and Pan Am too. Makes me nostalgic about the good old times... all that elegance and the fantastic music are so much better than what we get today. Sigh. :( Anyway, glad to see everyone is doing just fine. Aside from Craig of course, whose movies are doing crap as usual LOL

It's about time Hermione has returned from searching for the Cr-egg horcruxes. I thought you ran off with Henry somewhere. Pan Am is doing well on ABC in the ratings. MI4 looks better than 1,2, or 3 from what has been shown. The Dream House final count was lowered to a nightmarish $8.1 million. Cr-egg now DEFINES FLOP in Hollywood. The studios must be financially masochistic to continue to front this drone in their films. TGWTDT's trailer looks like another morose, not fun, movie to decide on whether or not to walk out of. If it bombs here along with this ridiculous puppet freak show Tin Tin :x , that will give DC the GRAND SLAM of box office flops in one year in the USA and he will deserve an award for that distinguished honor and I would love to have MP and FBF present it to him next year at the Razzies :!:

 now THAT is a scene I'd pay to see! FBF handing Craig his awards (more than one surely) at the Razzies? Oh Henry, he'll fly me off somewhere (He's filming in Vancouver now... btw I have intel from people on set and everyone is saying the movie looks GREAT and more than that, Henry is DA MAN. Not that I had doubts. Now let's just kick the, what is the definition BJ... something vegetable lady hahaha AND let's get Henry for Bond 24, please).

I'm so glad about Pan Am. Finally a good show on network, and the first good one for ABC in YEARS. (also love Person of Interest, but that's a totally different type of show). I have been watching basically only cable and now I just can't revert back to network unless it's really good stuff. Heard lots of great things about MI4 which makes me really happy since that too is JJ Abrams's doing... and despite the public outcry, I still love Tom Cruise. He may be an idiot as a person but I think he's a very good actor. And I will never get over my Top Gun love. He's one of my teen years actor crushes, so whatever, hate on, I will always love him

Ah, the Craigster. I don't even understand what the deal is with producers there. I think he's got a VERY good agent, because frankly, he's far from being a sensational actor. And he sure as hell is NOT a box office draw. So why the hell do they cast him as a lead?! I don't wish failure on anyone, him included, but I think he should stick to roles that are appropriate for him. That means play the bad dude, or play the deranged drug dealer or something. He's just not leading man material. And thing is, producers I know and talk to (who clearly don't produce the big hits but the independent movies) feel the same. The mind boggles.

Tintin (not Tin Tin) is a series of illustrated adventures by a Belgian artist named Herge. The series produced some of the greatest graphic novels ever published (Tintin in Tibet, Explorers On the Moon) and was translated into 80 languages. Tintin was created in 1929 and Herge was still planning new books when he died in the 1980s, such was the popularity of the series. The upcoming film is partly based on The Secret of the Unicorn where Craig's character - Red Rackham - only appears in a flashback for a couple of pages. He won't be in the film much then and will be disguised anyway as it's a cartoony CGI thing. As a huge Tintin fan I have my doubts about the film but will probably end up watching it.

So DC is a minor role as a puppet-like creature? Is this geared to children?
