The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Mark my words: QOS 2.0 is going to be a mess. I don't care if that makes me the biggest cynic on earth, but every bit of news we've heard is *not* encouraging.

Some more positive news.
'Hollywoodreporter' states today that 'Harry Pothead' and the Deathly Hallows pt 2......has crossed the $1,000,000,000 mark today.
That should make 'FBF' happy.

FBF, where are you??????? HP triumphed, Cr-egg failed, and all is well in the universe! Potter will be the number one film of 2011 as you wished for. Cr-egg is bombing as I wished for. The only solution is the de-Cr-egg-ification and the par boiling of the input of the green vegetable. She has truly achieved destruction of the daddy's franchise as that pathetic PSA was proof of, although I hear DC loved the wardrobe attire and the makeup. Cr-egg is finished............finished.............finished in Hollywood now, and after Dream House goes to DVD after 2 weeks, and The 'Ghoul' With Her Dragon Tattoo flops, Cr-egg will be done, not only in Bond films, but Hollywood in general. I knew it, you all knew it, the world knows it, and now Everything Is Nothing knows it! Victory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not question the Hermione Granger of the Bond forums EA. She knows her cipollas (onions in Italian).

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
That's the way it is in movie business. They're contracted to promote the flicks in a positive manner, it's unrealistic to expect them to say anything less than good. Pierce Brosnan did exactly the same thing with his flicks and years later he admitted he wasn't fond of them at all. Don't forget Roger Moore who later admitted his feelings about AVTAK. Studios wouldn't exactly be happy to see the stars of their tentpole films promoting them by saying something along the lines "I thought it was okay". You think Cavill would come out and say his Superman film is not as good as the original Christopher Reeve film? No way. That's not what these studios are paying them to do.Alessandra wrote:About Craig and what he said. Really? Now you say it, after (obviously) having lied about it when the movie was being released? I understand publicity needs of course, but could you at least avoid flat-out lying to then finally tell the truth years after? Just be vague enough in the first place maybe? So you avoid insulting our intelligence, since we all knew and saw that QoS was a horrible, crammed together movie?
IIRC all the Bond films since GE typically start filming in December or January (in fact main unit didn't even start filming until April for TND!) . Having 23 start on October is much earlier than usual for a Fall release Bond film. Plus comparing a Bond film's production with a movie like Superman is way off. Superman is supposed to film a lot earlier than a Bond film would because of the extensive use of special effects that have to be worked on.EA, they're LATE filming in October. That's not soon, that's late for an action movie to be already in theaters Oct. of the following year in UK & Ireland. Henry Cavill started filming Superman this week, and that was initially set for December release (although never officially, but still, it would have been a month LATER than Bond and they're already filming and they have ALREADY cast everyone, extras included as a friend of mine was filming in Chicago this week with them) and it's now being released in June 2013. That gives you an idea how late they are with Bond.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I for one am a Happy Bunny tonight, It's great to finally hear that WE were all correct,The reboot wasn't needed and what they've ended up doing is hurting the very series they had been intrusted to keep going. While some on other Forums bought into the new take on Bond this Gritty realism and action cuts, as if this was the new direction for the series. They believed all the Bull Eon put out, I once used the term of "the emperor's new clothes" Oh how quickly some of us where shot down for even thinking they didn't know what they where doing, Thankfully WE have been proved right.
So they press on with a below par actor as Bond, asking arty directors to have a go at a thriller. It would seem some of us here at DCINB, have a little more insight and care more for the character of Bond than some on the basicly Eon controlled sites, who just go along with the party line. To misquote another series.
"May the FARCE be with them "
and stand by for QOS2

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
They filmed QOS and chopped it up into only 105 minutes. They actually had very little to work with and if what we saw was the 'cream of the crap' of their scenes spliced into a pile of you know what, what did that say about Marc Forster's direction, EIN's script writers, and the hibernating bear and his cruciferous sister? 'Sinister destruction' is the best term to describe her actions towards her father's historic franchise. Vegetable's have no brains, just plant cellulose, as does Barbara, by her years now as head of the saga.

You should be a film critic 'BJ'............mind you EON would dread reading your reviews of their films.bjmdds wrote:They filmed QOS and chopped it up into only 105 minutes. MP........you witnessed the persecution, as did I, at MI6's old and now defunct site. How does it FINALLY feel to be recognized as correct? Cr-egg is not gone.......YET.......but after these recent and numerous movie flops continue on, he is closer than ever to being toast......and burnt toast.......as Bond!

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
QOS was weak but I'd hardly consider it the worst thing to happen to the franchise. For me it's pretty much middle of the road right there with LTK and GE. Nothing spectacular but nothing destructive. In fact I thought the direction was quite well handled. It was the very thin script and style of the second unit shoots that made it less than stellar.
I wouldn't cry victory yet, whatever of C&A's results it won't have an immediate effect like you seem to be celebrating about. Bond 23's will determine the future of the franchise.

I hope I bump into 'greeny' somewhere in NYC on a visit from her to the states. She will hear it from me.......face to face......if I ever get the chance. I wonder if she or her underlings read this particular forum at all. I hope so. She is so paranoid that she probably wants to keep a close watch on any media criticism of the franchise, not that she even cares, being the arrogant entity she has become.English Agent wrote:You should be a film critic 'BJ'............mind you EON would dread reading your reviews of their films.bjmdds wrote:They filmed QOS and chopped it up into only 105 minutes. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Ale it could basically turn out like thisAlessandra wrote: EA, they're LATE filming in October. That gives you an idea how late they are with Bond. That said, they have had a habit of filming this late with Bond, they did the same (or even later actually, they were filming in my backyard in April LOL) with QoS. So I think it's normal for the EON monkeys. Except the results haven't exactly been up to par. I also want to see how they start filming in October with no Bond girls, no villain, no role other than Bond and M being cast so far. (nothing has gone around except rumours, nobody has officially been announced.). And I'm not liking the premise at all, because it totally sounds like another QoS to me. That said it could turn out to be much better, miracles happen sometimes. I somehow doubt it, but you never know.

Oh hai james bond, I did not hit m, it's bulls**t I did not..oh hi q, so did you, no don't even ask, anyways hows your sex life (q spits out coffee), 007 you're bloody creepy, hahaha..what a story q.

I would just love to hear tonight's conversation between Spielberg, Favreau, and Howard. I guess they were quite wrong in their calculations that the rest of the world was as dumb as they had hoped. The head cheeses who backed this moronic mess will need Tylenol tomorrow.

And I hope Bond 23 is NOT like The Room..however, this is the same franchise that gave us Dud Another Day

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
At no other time in Bond history has there been a 9 year time line with only 2 films being done. Even Dalton did two in 2 years. Brosnan did 4 in 7 years. Are only two films in 9 years due to EIN's lack of artistic drive OR is it their finances are in HUGE trouble raising money with the current actor? Something is not adding up. It's time for new ownership of the franchise. The Broccoli name no longer has merit.
