The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I've read a few negative reviews. I didn't really hear any yays or nays about it from the ComiCon(supposedly there was an advance screening there).

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Amazing how many reviews are out, 48% rotten so far. But 97% day they want to see it, Captain America only got 87%. I dunno I smell a rat in some of this a lot of viral looking posters around the net. Snakes On A Plane!
I don't care other than it looks like a hard sell for a Wild Wild West mediocre movie. If it does do good I wonder if Craig will see it as the time to leave, if it opens big world wide he could strike up a big deal right?
Smurfs is not looking good at RT.

Now you're talking MP. Potter any day over Cr-egg's egg yet this website still advertises his rotten film at the top of the page.katied wrote:Well,I won't be giving Cowboys Versus Aliens my money, that's for sure.I'd rather see Harry Potter again, to be honest.

It's just an ADBot they pickup on keywords click it and take Craig's money or not it's not a conspiracy. Bail Bond, Municipal Bonds all keywords generating them. Hit it enough times and maybe you can buy MGM
It show the shotgun advertising approach they are taking fro CvA. It going to be a hit of a spectacular flop.
I can't remember if Qos ads come up here.

Trek is very popular worldwide however the movies foreign BO were never a good indication of this. Trek 2 made less money at the BO (than Trek 1) but more money for the studio because of the reduced cost. It will be interesting to see what the next Trek will do, the middle East and Asian market could be very big for it. In fact I thought the last Trek would do better in those markets.FormerBondFan wrote:Trek was more popular here than elsewhere.Kristatos wrote:That actually surprised me somewhat, when ST11 didn't do as well internationally as expected. Do not under estimate Cowboys and Aliens there is a good team behind it. Doesn't mean they made a good movie but it likely means they can make a profitable one. It is a Universal film so it will not have a bloated budget, cost around $100m at a minimum (not counting P&A). Not a huge leap to profitability, still it is a risk, one I know people are nervous about. Still they did their best to make the film able to stand on its own.

Consider if Cowboys and Aliens does not do well it will hurt the Craig "brand", but the movie had a ton of problems long before Craig signed on (-lying his way into the role).

What about Rise of the Planet of the Apes? Will it be #1 at the US box office?Mazer Rackham wrote:Do not under estimate Cowboys and Aliens there is a good team behind it. Generally these movies are positioned to almost guarantee themselves a number1 weekend.
Lets say he misled the producers on his horse expertise. I know he was actively trying to weasel his way into this one after Robert Downey Jr had to back off.Kristatos wrote:Really? I enjoyed Jon Favreau busting Criag's chops about Classic Bond. No gadgets or humor for Bond 23.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Big producers are backing Cr-egg's leading role cowboy clunker tomorrow, spending a ton on advertising their rubbish. If they don't do great weekend one, with Harrison Ford as their insurance policy to eggy, it will be a Spielberg/Howard disaster financially. The egghead has his future lead status "riding" on it. I'll go with the Smurfs instead.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I'd either see Harry Potter or the Smurfs before I gave the bad Cregg
Cowboys Versus Aliens my money.
