I saw one that said CA could beat HP. I don't think it will because a lot are waiting for the second weekend and Potters theater count is not going down.FormerBondFan wrote:According to this, CA is not expected to beat the boy wizard this weekend.

I looked up fandango, and the theaters around my area has more screenings for Potter than CA. The finale must reign SUPREME this weekend, and it better not drop down big (like Part 1 was) or worse.I don't think it will because a lot are waiting for the second weekend and Potters theater count is not going down.

MP knew it was sooner rather than later. No more Winehouse. She killed herself as far as I am concerned. FBF, WABC tv movie reviewer here Sandy Kenyon blasted how BAD Chris Evans is and he basically told the tv audience to stay home instead of seeing Captain America and also Timberlake's new trash film. Good news for HP fans. Now I want the SAME review next weekend for the muffin topped cowboy flick!

FBF, check this out: "Untitled Star Trek Sequel (June 29, 2012): First of all, this movie reportedly doesn't even have a script, so it likely won't open in 11 months. In fact, it looks like it's going to have a tough time hitting theaters anytime in 2012. While the J.J. Abrams-directed reboot was a mainstream hit with $257.7 million, it's unlikely that the sequel will become the sort of cultural phenomenon that results in a record-breaking opening."

This I might see on Sunday, I loved THE ROCKETEER (with our man Dalton) and this one seems to fit in that kind of mold especially with the same director behind it. Good old fashioned adventure where the hero is the hero and the villain is the villain.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
BJ, I hope the hot weather breaks soon.It was really bad in the Midwest-the weather you guys went from there all the way to the East Coast. The worst was a few years ago when Dallas(where my cousin lives) had temperatures over 100 degrees for an extended amount of time. And he walks/bikes to work(he drove, when that heat wave was going on, needless to say!)

Some bad news recently with Amy Winehouse dying, though it was somewhat predictable sadly.
Then there was that nut in Norway who massacred all those teenagers!
Anyway back to the film world....why do people go on about CA beating HP at the BO this weekend in North America?
It doesnt matter really......what matters to Warners is that HP will still make a shed load of money at the US boxoffice this weekend,
and a whole lot more internationally.
'BJ' if the heatwave in the US continues upto Friday, can you see yourself buying a ticket to sit in an air-conditioned cinema watching Cowboys & Aliens,
or would you rather stand outside and burn?

Oh it's the guy playing Superman. So he could use a much more casual outfit if he wanted. But no, know why? Because unlike the current dude playing James Bond who dresses like a reject from the nouveau riche catalogue, this guy has natural class to him. He's classy himself, wouldn't need to LEARN to be classy to be Bond. (something the current actor clearly was never taught and never learnt). Oh right, and he (this superman dude) looks exactly the way James Bond looks. On top of it, major class-act all around in interviews, on set, and in real life in general (and this is by first-hand reports, yes my friends are d**n lucky
). Henry Cavill is bloody perfect himself, but what pisses me off the most is that he is PERFECT FOR BOND and we had the perfect chance to have him, which was completely wasted by good ole Babs and her crush on Craig.

I don't even understand this site whining about Craig's clothing outside of Bond. He's an actor, not James Bond himself. Unless his Bond actually starts wearing those clothes I couldn't care less. Ever seen Timothy Dalton's clothing outside of Bond?Alessandra wrote:See this? http://cache3.asset-cache.net/xc/119675 ... 4868C0890E

You have to be an ambassador of a historic franchise, whether it's fair or not, it's a must. A slovenly dressed slob with verbal cursing skills is NOT a Bond ambassador. By the way, the smileys here do justice to the reaction when Danielle Cr-egg informed the Green Vegetable that he married Rachel:
Cr-egg is the blond smiley and Ms. B is the dark witch! Just perfect!

Craig's choice of clothing outside of Bond is atrocious.Sorry, but it's true. a quick bit of Googling would find plenty of pictures to back this up.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
MP, how are you holding up with the Winehouse news? I was worried about you when I heard the news.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I'm sad. I feel badly for her family. Read this morning that her mom doesn't quite know how to deal with it.
To be sure I may have said some nasty things about Amy Winehouse in the past, but that's because she was screwing up and basically getting rewarded for it. Honestly, if she had had help and really stuck with it(which she obviously didn't want to do)it would have worked.....What she truly needed was tough love. For people(save for her family) to back off and give her time to go through treatment. But IMO every time she would try to go to treatment, it was half a$$ed. She would leave after a few days and be back to doing drugs.
For me, it's not right to make fun of the way she died because I am honestly upset over it.
