Back from your brief tour of CB.net Stocks after 4 months away from here?
I don't go to CB.net. I tried years ago, but the format there is too ugly. I reside in a new Bond forum that was established months ago called Bond and Beyond. I pretty much consider that my main forum. I haven't visited the new MI6 since its revision, it's dead to me as far as I'm concerned.
To me, Cr-egg suits him better with reference to the 'egg' in egghead, therefore, to wit, and ergo, Cr-egg.
Did the guy kill your family dog or something?
So tell me, how is the film studies student enjoying the green vegetable's choices for Bond 23 so far?
Well, I don't mind Harris in the role of Moneypenny. The character is a minor one, a nice 30 something lass at a desk. Black or white, I'd hit that.

But I'm most intrigued by Roger Deakins shooting the flick, that should be quite amazing. Hopefully Dennis Gassner will return as production designer. Because Deakins and Gassner = amazing things. I do hope it's true that Bardem and Fiennes will be in the flick, that will be interesting.

The one thing I'm skeptical of is John Logan. He seems to be a hit and miss kind of guy.

As for film studies, I gave that up awhile ago. As much as I would like to get into the film making business, it doesn't seem feasible unless I have the right connections. I pretty much consider film a major hobby of mine now, not a realistic career. Now I'm just focusing on getting back to school to major in child development. I've always been great with kids, but I never thought of getting into that kind of career until recently. There's just something appealing about helping children find their place in society, they are the future.

Gassner's production design was one of the very few praiseworthy things about QOS. IMDb lists Gassner as the production designer for Bond 23, though it's not generally considered a reliable source for films still in production.

I hope it's true, both of them collaborated in plenty of flicks such as The Hudsucker Proxy by the Coen brothers.

I never heard of an official retirement announcement, but Peter Lamont hasn't worked on anything since CR. He has been around for awhile so I guess it was just a matter of time. He wasn't Ken Adam but he put in some good work. Like when he was absent for TND you could feel his absence, especially since the design work was just plain ugly and drab, like Carver's stealth boat. Then on TWINE you have class sets like the casino or Elektra's villa. He'll definitely be missed. I do hope Gassner will be EON's regular production designer.

If Mi6 lost a loyalist like you for good it speaks volumes about them. Whoever would have thought this website would be around longer than the former MI6 in 2006? Funny how things work out. Career change is interesting Stocks and will be rewarding in the long run I bet so good luck with that. Will you be seeing Potter and Cr-eggs and Aliens? The reason I detest Danielle is because he has limited talent and is oversold as a box office draw and he is an uncouth verbal slob during interviews, not even mentioning his horrific facial features as a supposed debonair leading man whose non-Bond films seem to all implode at the box office. I admit detesting him and have done so since day ONE of the green vegetable's selection of her casting couch 4th stooge, who belongs with Moe, Larry, and Curly, not Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton and Brosnan. The quicker he is out of show business the better for all concerned. The movie companies won't lose money backing his films and the rest of us won't be subjected to constant creature from the black lagoon comparisons.

this should make FBF happy :D :D :D
POTTER FINALE PHENOM! $88+M Global As 'Harry Potter' Already Shattering Records 3RD UPDATE: My sources have the latest box office numbers for Warner Bros' Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 2. Domestically, $45 million has been collected already in pre-sales for this opening North America weekend, including $27M for tonight's 3,000+ midnight screenings which could reach $40M alone. Internationally, $43.6 million has been added from the 24 of 59 countries where the franchise finale opened Wednesday. Another 19 nations debut the movie Thursday but that figure won't be available until tomorrow. By Friday, the film will playing in an additional 16 territories as well as in 4,575 theaters in the U.S. and Canada. What these numbers mean is that Warner Bros is on track to break its own Dark Knight domestic opening 3-day weekend record of $158M.

Eon could certainly do worse. RE Coen Bros. I find them overrated, 'True Grit' was not as faithful adaptation as was promised. However they certainly do have a visual style that works on the big screen so if a few of those behind it can come to Bond all the better.

Believe it, I'm not the only one that left for good. A great number of folks have left the site after the Facebook-lite change, mostly the heavy hitters who've been around as long as I have such as The White Tuxedo and Largo's Shark. The transition just left a bad taste for many. So a lot of us moved to the once abandoned Bond and Beyond, which launched a year ago but had little activity since its establishment. We decided to revive the forum and make it our own, replicating the old format of MI6 while putting our own stamp to generate discussion. Two sections, "Bond" for all things 007 and "Beyond" for general discussion. Because we're new we're often changing/rearranging things to help generate activity and find our own niche. We don't expect it to boom like MI6 did, since we're not associated with a very popular Bond site like MI6 or CB.n. There is no main site, just the forum alone. So we do what we can to encourage folks to join and contribute. We're hoping when Bond 23 news starts to become daily then discussions will explode. I'm quite proud of the place. Most of our members are mature, intelligent and most importantly humorous. There is nothing more sad than a fan without a sense of humor. One of the problems MI6 had were members like CASINOROYALE and jwild doing nothing but spamming nonsense while mods did nothing. So far we haven't had that happen in Bond and Beyond so it's refreshing to login a site and see only quality members contribute, no worrying about trolls.
Career change is interesting Stocks and will be rewarding in the long run I bet so good luck with that.
Thanks, most appreciated. :)

Probably, I'm not rushing to see either but if the opportunity arises I just might see them.

Box Office Mojo is forecasting a $145 million opening weekend for Potter in the US and Canada, saying that anything less would be somewhat disappointing by the standards of the franchise.
Since it's the final movie in the blockbuster series and is opening on a Friday, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 needs to break the franchise record by a commanding margin. It needs to be put on track to becoming not only the highest-grossing Potter yet, but one of the most attended as well. Therefore, anything less than $145 million would be a bit disappointing.

I'll wait for next week, maybe later. I want to avoid the droves of Potter nerds clapping, cheering and crying.

I know some may disagree, but it's the best fantasy movie ever since The Return of the King.

I've seen HP films many times on TV, but i never saw them originally at the cinema........i'll think though this time i will see the last HP film on the big screen, though i'll wait a few days for the crowds to die down a little.

Come this Sunday evening, there should be some record breaking BO figures reported for Potter!

If you want to keep bang upto date with the HP BO figures then go to the Deadline website run by Nikke Finke.

Latest HP has reportedly broken the US one day BO record!
