Here is a question I wonder if we are ready to answer; how much longer does Bond have?

What I mean is the fan base is splinter in a way it never was in the history of the franchise, going forward once Daniel leaves; regardless if Bond 23 is better then QOS or if it makes money or not. How much longer can Bond last with the crumbling foundation and apparent clueless leadership.

I do not see more than3 or 4 films before it comes crashing down. If Eon retools after Daniel leaves maybe they can make it healthy once more, I do not think it is healthy now , it was healthy far as actor and fan enthusiasm in Pierce's time however the leadership was crumbling even then. Cubby was not perfect however he did run a tight ship.
It's been done for 9 years now. Two films with a rancid onionhead as Bond in 9 years? It's done. The only salvation is 'berling' the green vegetable in her own 'earl' :fight: and getting NEW blood running the show. MGW is probably non-existent in the plans now so put him in permanent hibernation mode. Potter films are so much more entertaining and well scripted, well acted, and well directed by contrast and that is how you do it right. Everything Is Nothing is the new motto for the once EON, now called EIN!

Harry Potter = Escapist Entertainment

DC's Bonds = Desecrated Entertainment

At the moment I feel Bond is Dead. It's amazing to think of the legacy Cubby left, One of the most successful series of Movies ever now lost with no direction, trying to be a bit of Bourne, a bit of social comment, a bit of "mertosexual man". Instead of the pure adrenaline ride of the old movies.
I have to admitt I have no interest In Bond 23, The direction the producers are taking I simply don't like, They seem to be almost ashamed of the past movies and want to get a few arthouse type critics to say how wonderful their take on the Movies are, how they've lifted them from simple mass entertainment to a "High art" with their well observed take on the modern world of espionage.
Craig looks nothing like the Bond of the novels or Films. His acting is Wooden
Craigs Take on Bond is at Odds to the other actors who've played the part.
I keep reading how Craig is "sex on legs " but have yet to find anyone who thinks so.
His other movies all flop at the boxoffice. ( if he's so popular, why?)
The producers have dropped Fleming, and gone with their own idea of what Bond should Be.
I have a feeling even when Craig goes, the next guy will be from the same mold as that's what the producers are looking for. and they'll still be pushing their own ideas for Bond instead of anything Fleming came up with, still trying to get a BAFTA or an Oscar so they can say how Much better their Movies where compare to all that tacky trash they put out in the 60's.

Bond is already dead......nothing more than the Galactic Empire.

DC's Bonds are no art films but rather EON's EVIL propaganda.

If Bond 23 gets high profile US movie awards (especially a single nomination from the Oscars), you might well have Carrot Top as Bond or Lucky Diamond Rich.

If an Oscar is the goal of the evil green vegetable to bolster her self absorbed ego, she can forget it. If Bond is nominated for any Oscar then the franchise is done and the box office gross will be lower because it means more of this psychological drivel tangent they are on. Remember, only 2 films in 9 years. That alone speaks volumes. :fight:

Roy Rogers Meets The Jetsons debuts the weekend of July 29. That will be Potter's third weekend. FBF, what we must hope for is that Potter weekend 3 comes close to if not surpasses RRMTJ with Danielle in the lead role. THAT will tell E.I.N. something once and for all about their Bond actor.

First thing is that HP 7.2 must surpass over $150 this weekend at the US box office as well as not went over a big drop the following weekend like the last one did which really hurts. Like I said, it may not be beat Avatar's or Titanic's overall gross, but as long as it goes crazy in breaking box office records like TDK did, I'm good.

Only the technical Oscars, I suspect. Genre films rarely win Oscars, though Lord of the Rings managed it, and the Academy saved most of them for the final film, so who knows.

I know, right!

Hoping to see The Deathly Hallows Part 2 this weekend. All of the movie theaters close to my parents' house closed, or are being renovated. On the plus side, the theater we'd go to (a 25 minute drive away) has IMAX. To me, the extra charge(on top of the $10 they already charge!) would be worth it.

It's Potter time folks. I will try to see it within the next 6-7 days. FBF, let's have those midnight reviews from you tonight after you see it for your first time of many! The Smurfs will outdo Cr-egg's Calamity Jane the weekend of July 29th as well. Count on it.

She is holding Ale hostage in a castle in the south of France and unless this website closes down, she will not release Ale to return here. I say we storm the Eon castle, rescue Ale, and 'berl' the green vegetable in her own venomous 'earl'.
I just found out that Ale was secretly moved to the fortress of solitude near the North pole by the green vegetable. They allowed her to briefly log on July 12 but refused to let her post. Maybe Superman Cavill or Potter could fly in via brooms or arms to rescue her?

Stocks, I was reading an article written by a British woman and she was complaining about the way Americans pronounce the name Craig(as Cregg). She said that was not the correct pronounciation of the name. I wasn't aware there were really any others. Odder still, she was talking about Daniel Craig!

Back from your brief tour of CB.net Stocks after 4 months away from here? To me, Cr-egg suits him better with reference to the 'egg' in egghead, therefore, to wit, and ergo, Cr-egg. So tell me, how is the film studies student enjoying the green vegetable's choices for Bond 23 so far?
