Get a load of this! I tried to respond to a post at CB.net and when I tried to send it, the screen said "A MODERATOR WILL FIRST READ YOUR POST TO DETERMINE IF IT IS APPROPRIATE", or something like that! Unbelieveable! Some website? What a joke. I just PROVED what a sham that website forum is and we will get even more people posting here after the latest video disgrace is debated throughout the world! CommanderBond.net is a FRAUD! Case closed!

But in all honesty I agree with you. A threshold has indeed been crossed, and the ad is a terrible misstep made without consideration to how it might impact the fanbase. I certainly hope exposure remains limited, as I fear this ad does little to advance equality for women in addition to dragging one of the most well loved and iconic fictional characters of all time into muck he has no business being in.
This ad is Brocolli's Waterloo guys. There is NO redemption now. Cr-egg's Bond will be remembered now in infamy in the annuls of the franchise, wearing the pant-ies to prove it, for ALL the world to see. Why so surprised? Barbara is clueless about what to do with this franchise and her run at the helm of Eon must end or she will end the franchise, in a very unfavorable way.

CommanderPravda.net is just hilarious Well, EON is obviously making them work overtime in the absolutely VAIN attempt to make this ridiculous ad right. Reaction has been negative in the vast majority of cases... but of course instead of admitting a misstep and fixing it, they snap fingers to have their fanboy servants react appropriately... and keep on posting how great it is, on ONE site, which is the most laughable thing. Not only CBn, but EON is looking pretty d**n pathetic, too.

Back on topic, what is cbn run by 13 year olds?, you're banned for hating craigs bond, having a different opinion, the only reason you should get banned from a site is if you cause trouble, personally attacking other members or spamming not speaking your bloody opinion, if anyone from cbns reading this don't misword what I said and grow the hell up because that's not the way to run sites, i don't like some peoples opinion but you know what I wont ban them for it, that's what a bloody kid would do, grow some balls cbn ( you know something real bond fans have ) and don't wah on the way out.

Oh no it's not run by 13-year-olds, one of the big bosses (or actually more than one) actually works with EON, so they make sure things said in there are perfectly in line with whatever EON wants people to say. Whoever disagrees is eliminated or put in the position to just leave, since of course nobody who has brains would want to post a dissenting opinion on there only to be belittled and/or insulted as a person for having it. I find it hilarious at this point... they are looking SO d**n pathetic it's laughable.

Meantime, the rest of the world has finally woken up to Babs's incompetence. So, whatever CBn says it really WON'T make any difference... they're way outnumbered. About d**n time. I fear though that this is just a momentary reaction... fanboys will always be fanboys, the moment they see Craig in a minute of footage it'll be back to "best ever". And I say best ever without James Bond since he is not James Bond.

It's interesting to note that this is happening now, and that we have mentioned the fact Babs is reeeeally not in good terms with MGM at the moment... I think the MGM marketing people saw the opportunity when she decided to do this and probably even encouraged her. They knew what the reaction was going to be and this is exactly what they need. People finally turning on her not only inside EON (that's happening already), but in the general public, too. Deadline.com is a general website, not a Bond site, and the answers there have been clear, just to mention one. I'm just having the devious smile one gets when they see what they have been told unfolding... the war is only at the beginning. We'll see what this brings for Bond 23 though I think MGM is already focused on Bond 24... they know 23 is a lost cause since it's Craig anyway and they gave up the right to debate strongly when they wanted the movie released quickly at all costs because they're desperate for turnover. So, we'll see the real thing after Bond 23, but it should be interesting to watch events unfold anyway... this is the first big event after what we mentioned a few weeks ago about Babs and MGM. Onto the next

The ad itself given all the so called talent involved seems very simplistic. If they'd used Craig to hightlight the plight of the Mountain Gorillas, would he of changed in to a Gorilla suit
Or the plight of Schoolboys in India etc, Would he of changed in to a "Just William " outfit, Short trousers, school Uniform with a catapult sticking out of his Back pocket.

I'm afraid your description and definition, given especially their recent attitude, is absolutely fitting. It is sad when places that should be up for FREE discussion and report a number of DIFFERENT opinions become instead just the amplifier for the guitar of a ridiculously badly-managed production company like EON.

I find it really interesting how things are going down after we've been discussing what is actually going on. I really do think MGM purposely let Babs do this because they KNEW it would backfire (Any marketing and PR person with a half brain would have known this was a major misstep the minute they saw it). It's great how the CBn fanboys are desperately trying to prove a point that the rest of the internet disagrees with. Makes EON look even more pathetic Too bad this reflects on the Bond franchise, and it's running it to the ground.
