Hello everyone,

This is my first post in this forum. I do not know, of course, how often I will come, with the one or other thread to write, I will read the most important threads in this forum, however, regularly. I myself am a Bond fan since my childhood, so I have the whole thing so to speak with the mother's milk. The first Connery films I have seen as first broadcasting on television in the early 80s. The Moore films came then gradually from the video library, which I then at that time together with my father looked at. The first Bond film in the cinema was then 1989 LTK.

Unfortunately, we had to wait until 1995 for GE, which I remembered as the best Brosnan Bond. TND and TWINE came in my opinion not ran. DAD, on the other hand, I found, above all because of the old props (Bikini from Dr.No, convertible from Dr.No, etc.) from the early Bond films, again better than the two predecessors TND and TWINE. The film DAD is very much overloaded, but this is the case with most Bond films. Casino Royale has of course taken a completely different way, which however I like no less.

The transitions between the actors are usually always a little habituation. From Connery to Lazenby, from Connery to Moore, from Moore to Dalton, from Dalton to Brosnan, or from Brosnan to Craig. Each Bond actor has his own style. And I think every Bond fan is also a bit embossed by his very first Bond experiences. For me, it was just the Connery movies and so for me, Sean Connery is the best bond. But that is just the point of view.

Nevertheless, I had to think a long time, until I had a goodlist from my point of view correctly put together. A Connery film had to be with me necessarily the number 1, but only which? After some thought, my favorite was fixed. TB has always liked me as a child always best and actually would now also follow all other Connery films. If there was not LALD, which I was then as VHS VHS with my father as an 8-year-old "pegs" were allowed to look. Since then, many scenes of LALD have not left my head, so this film with me is equal to rank 2. Followed by GF on place 3 with a pointed villain Gert Fröbe and a pleasant overall flair and, of course, again marked by childhood memories. Then, again, expect again a Moore Bond in my ranking. But at FYEO it was just the same. A video evening with Daddy and it was happening around me. But even today a top bond, as I think. So it would be unfair to put another bond before the remaining Connery bonds, so YOLT follow 6, then DN on 7, then FRWL on 8 and DAF on 9. The remaining Bond- Movies lined themselves according to the fallen behind.

Far from being cut off and thus the worst Bond movie so far, I think AVTAK with a Moore Bond, which would go through as a senior, as a secret agent. Moore is just too old and sluggish in this film, apart from the bad story. Just before that as the second bad Bond is my opinion TLD with Dalton. Long-winded and little spectacular story. Even though I found LTK as a child 1989 very good in the cinema (was probably at the age), so he is today as third-worst Bond on my best list. The story is in my opinion not so great though the action is quite good and the women are also very nice to watch. But Sophie Marceau I found there just better by lengths and as I as a man also attaches importance to the actresses, TWINE stands still two places before LTK. Octopussy was, in my opinion, not so great, but still better than in the second half very kitschy Moonraker. Nevertheless, I have just grown up with these films (somewhat unobjective decision) and therefore they stand before the above-mentioned Dalton films. TMWTGG and TSWLM were also quite good Moore bonds with 70's flair and good gems and therefore follow directly on the Connery bonds. Lazenby falls from my purely personal opinion and since the script was not the best, OHMSS is in my midfield.

The very first Craig-Bond "Casino Royale" can in my opinion easily connect to the predecessors films. The movie has its own style, but as time changes, Bond also changes. Even though I liked DAD quite well, in contrast to the majority opinion in this forum, the two films could not be more opposing. DAD does not come without Gemicks and CR would not be CR with Gemicks. So each of these films has something for itself, as I think. CR is and remains the best Craig Bond for me, followed by "Spectre".

I don't think people's complaints about Casino Royale here are down to the lack of gimmicks. Most Bond fans accept that a back-to-basics approach following a more over-the-top Bond film like DAD is part of the regular cycle of the films. But we think that CR, and Daniel Craig's portrayal of Bond, fundamentally changed the character in a way that previous changes of actor didn't.

It wasn't gadgets or one liners it wCR was more D.C. Comics multiverse Bond instead of Bond begins like it was promoted as. His bond was never supposed to intercept or remake any the previous series. That promise didn't last long.

Sad thing is when they make a bond movie now they throw in gratuitous homages to the history while getting them wrong.

I don't have a issue with fans that want to love the recent movies, I like happen to like Dalton the best which thanks to the reboot his Bond has become more popular.
