Affleck was a little too bulky but he's the least of B v S's problems. DC shot themselves in the foot by having their entire slate of films directed by Zack Snyder. He knows how to frame a shot but he can't tell a story. Gadot was ok (if a bit too skinny) although only in the film for about ten minutes. Megan Gale was going to play WW in George Miller's aborted Justice League film and looks more like the Wonder Woman of the comics. This was her costume test...

That'll do!

I don't have a huge problem with affleck being cast, I don't like him but he can act if he feels like it. Snyder was a huge mistake as was rebooting DC again. They had a popular Batman series already, they didn't need to start from scratch.

But as i said the costume bothers me because its not a Batman costume it a Affleck mask with pointy ears. If they can get rid of Snyder they might have a few good movies come out of it.

The new Star Wars film is on Showtime. I watched it a few times. The propagation of a heroine vs. a male hero is so evident and the Rey character constantly beating up men in this film is another PC attempt by Hollywoodie to downplay the male lead characters.

Ouch!
Cost over $100 million too. Supposedly they needed $250 million to break even.

I have no idea what it was supposed to be about really, the ad were Morgan freeman voice over and that's it really. I watched the original a long time ago, I think they thought the name of a masterpiece in movie make would float this movie.

Explosion tonight in Manhattan and almost 30 people were injured. I actually have eaten in the Outback Steakhouse in the past on that specific street. New Jersey also had a similar explosion by a marathon this morning. Idiotic one term Mayor Deblasio said there is no evidence of terrorism YET :!: He is a socialistic liberal who will thrown out of office here next year and he is a pathetic S.O.B. who is a brain dead moron! Of course it IS a terrorist act! :cuss:

You CANNOT remake this film! The 1959 original with Charlton Heston is one of the most iconic movies ever made so attempting a remake and throwing in Morgan Freeman as well to play the role meant for a middle eastern actor was a joke.

I'm not surprised. Even some of the methods are the same as those two loser brothers from Boston. Bet when they get to The Who and how this joker will have left the country for training in the same place those Boston bombers went.

Second bomb was now found nearby the first one several blocks away :!: Facebook posts: Mark Seaquist:
most likely terrorism ! 2nd device found blocks away ,& one also exploded in NJ earlier at a military charity run in Seaside Hights these liberals in NYC wouldn't know it if it blew up in there face ,they would deny its terrorism

Randy House:
If they don't know who did it, how can they say it wasn't terrorist related? Bombs going off in any neighborhood would be terrifying.

Carlos Lizarraga:
Lets hope it is not the begining of terrorism of soft targets as it was recently warned by the FBI to all law enforcement agencies throughout the nation by Isis.Or other offshoot terror groups.

James Talley · Dallas Institute of Funeral Service:
Media so quick to rule out terrorism when the whole country knows it's terrorism. Same with the stabbing spree at the Minnesota mall tonight. Liberals would see us all die before they dare be politically incorrect.-------------------- Cathy Cather:
Well who in the hell do you think had something to do with this? Your law abiding neighbors - for heavens sake people get a clue and get a grip.Let's let another 110k into this country and let's watch us get destroyed. Wake up.

About methods they way these groups seem to work is once they get a proven method they teach it, you can trace the root all the way back through the disciples. Bomb makers favor certain ways, get know for their telltale marks/technics. Those they teach take up a lot of the same habits. Us military got real good at track these f'ers down. We'd know who was a player from the debris. And where they were from (cough, cough, Iran) sadly I think the congress and president block family's of us service men for taking Iran to court over this.

I dont think it's unconnected to prior attacks from the initial description..

Fixed that for you. Sorry, I'm a pedant. Actually, I believe there was an even earlier silent version from about 1907, but I would have to check that.

I think there is. I think it was a guy from the police (the guys who made sting famous), and he was trying to save the silent film so he re-scored the movie. He was not a religious man but the story put to music moved him deeply. Or so he said.

Actually, that was for the 1925 version. But I checked IMDb, and I was correct. There was a 2-reel short made in 1907, without the permission of Lew Wallace's estate. The makers were successfully sued for copyright infringement. There was also a 2010 TV mini-series and a 2003 straight-to-DVD animated version, with Charlton Heston (or at least his voice) once again playing the title role.

I wonder if there were people in 1959 protesting that the 1925 version couldn't possibly be improved upon, and complaining about political correctness gone mad, because of the gay subtext that Gore Vidal famously managed to sneak into the screenplay.

my guess is the detonator set up will be a signature for somebody overseas, maybe the same group the trained the Boston pukes, at the very least someone we are aware of.
