Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (MGM) and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment are releasing special edition Blu-rays, DVDs and collectible box-sets on September 15th, ahead of the November 6th global release of SPECTRE, the 24th James Bond adventure.

Two new featurettes are included based on interviews with renowned Bond writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. “The Shadow of SPECTRE” concentrates on the history of SPECTRE, the fictional global criminal syndicate and terrorist organization. The second featurette, “The Story So Far”, recaps and relives the significant moments from the previous three Daniel Craig Bond films
.

Who is looking forward to the second "featurette"?

I was thinking the same. That's shoving Craig down our throats. It's bad enough that Spectre is happening.

It's one thing if it's on cr through skyfall but putting it on say license to kill is in poor taste

If it's on CR/QOS/SF then that doesn't bother me, as I won't buy those DVDs. But if it appears on the pre DAD films, then that is taking the proverbial. When I put in my copy of TLD or LTK to relax and watch, I don't want to be reminded of the last 3 films.

Honestly I almost never peruse the special features. No desire to listen Michael G Wilson prattle on for two hours.

As I understand the story it is special re-release of Spectre related Bond movies that might have the features. From Russia With Love, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever, For Your Eyes Only, and naturally Daniel's 3 films.
The laughable part to me is trying to act like his three extremely disjointed films were part of a master plan leading to Spectre.

However they mention the Ultimate set with a place holder for Spectre, which is how they did it last time when the releases were identical to previous discs. I would say I think maybe only those six movies might get the special features.

I could understand Spectre being included, but how can Craig's 3 first be be featured, when the oranization of the same name didn't appear in Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace & Skyfall.

If there's any edition of the first 20 Bond I want to purchase, I'll take the VHS format, the Special Edition and the Ultimate Edition.

That's understandable, as the new wave of Bond Blu ray (individual cases), are hideous. They look like they've been designed as a rush job, inside of a couple hours.

Why else would anyone buy them.

I bought all the Bond movies on my iTunes account. That bypasses the need to buy them on physical format, entirely.

yes. It's a new phase in video, everyone seems excited for the new digital copies . I know a few people who hate digital copies because the sound and picture are not as good as Blu-ray but the movies on iTunes and uv seem popular . I like being able to watch them any time anywhere

In Sainsburys (a British supermarket) they have the Bond DVDs for £3 with just the films on them. The covers are not very good.

That's all they're worth. All Bond films, except for Spectre are what you call; catalogue titles. And where DVD is concerned-an ancient format, which is already dying a slow death...

You look like you are quite good with technical things - can you come round my house and teach how to program my VHS to record things?

You can buy old VHS films in charity shops over here for 50p. They are giving them away. I still have a couple of old video recorders in the house but they haven't been plugged in and used for a long time.
