Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
With Captain America: Civil War currently filming in Atlanta, the pressure on Marvel and Sony to cast a Spider-Man is high. So it is that yesterday, rumors emerged that the short list has been whittled down to four actors – Tom Holland and Charlie Rowe, rumored to be the front-runners, with Matthew Lintz and Charlie Plummer still in contention. We’ve now learned that the decision could come next week.

It would be interesting to see Bond being only 22. Thats how Cavill was old in 2005 right?
Also I read that before the Queen Bitch fired Brosnan they planned to have flashbacks with Cavill. Is that true?

Big O, did you ever see Jurassic's box office being this high? I cannot believe how much this earned. Unreal

it great seems to be well deserved too. I was just annoyed at all the spin bs that came out Friday Saturday . It isn't needed its doing great. I wonder if this big money year will affect universals plans for that James Bond series called section 6 or whatever . Eon sued over .bjmdds wrote:Big O, did you ever see Jurassic's box office being this high? I cannot believe how much this earned. UnrealFBF, your review.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
There’s a new king in town.
“Jurassic World” opened to a staggering $511.8 million worldwide, the highest global bow of all time. It marks the first time a film has ever grossed more than $500 million in a single weekend.
The dinosaur thriller is the top-ranking film from sea to shining sea, after opening in first place in North America and across all 66 international territories where it debuted.
“Dinosaurs are fascinating to everyone,” said Nick Carpou, president of domestic distribution at Universal. “It’s cross-cultural.”

FBF, with Ultron and this surprising Jurassic film going huge at the box office, don't worry about ECH-TRE topping $1 billion in 2015.

Babs will do anything to make Spectre reach $1 billion. It doesn't matter how much every new corrupted Bond makes at the box office anymore because anybody or anything can be Bond now.bjmdds wrote:FBF, with Ultron and this surprising Jurassic film going huge at the box office, don't worry about ECH-TRE topping $1 billion in 2015.

I honestly doubt Spectre will do that much money. I would be suprised. skyfall was greatly helped by the 50th anniversary and all that crap about being "the best Bond ever" and coca cola commercials and basically you couldn't pass without seeig a poster for it or hearing adele's song on the radio. Babs did her best with Skyfall. Now,with the script leak and rewrites of the same I don't think the success will be repeated.

"We wanted Craig from the beginning"
Babs talks about "striking screen presence and charisma"of Craig...
he is also a combination of "movie star and great actor"...a MOVIE STAR?Where was he again? And how with Skyfall they went back to "more character drive stories and less gadgets" of Connery era.
I never saw Connery movies as something character-driven-and those movies were GREAT. Again,we have the talk of Bond girl being "Strong"-don't we listen that same story since FOREVER?"
Babs confirms who runs this franchise now-Craig.So,huh,he just called Mendes himself and asked him if he wanted to direct a movie...Babs just screamed "YES!" to that...and so on...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
"The important thing to remember about Pierce Brosnan is that he was not hot. He was attractive, charming, charismatic, and handsome. But he was not hot. To consider just how radically different modern-day action heroes are, consider this: In Die Another Day, James Bond watches in awe as Halle Berry emerges from the surf. In Casino Royale, a mere four years later, someone else got their own emerging-from-the-surf moment…except this time, it was James Bond himself. My colleague Dennis Huynh mentioned that Craig’s first movie kicked off the whole trend of objectifying male bodies, an inversion of the female-gaze theory that reaches its apex with this year’s Magic Mike."
This is a part of one article..and it's just so true. With Casino Royale they went with the Hollywood standards of male attractivness-gym-pumped guys.Isn't that the reason why Twlight saga made so much money? That scene was meant for...what?Females staring because Craig has(too much) muscles??Come on,that's for Twlight...

You might get a kick out of Mad Magazine's Spyfail parody comic, if you haven't already seen it.
