To say I am happy that she is gone would be an understatement. When I heard the news, my first thought(which was probably a lot of people's) was "about freaking time!"
I hope the lack of Amy Pascal's collaboration will help herald new direction with MGM and EON, it would be great if this would be Craig's last outing, maybe it will be he is not getting any younger and another two to three years break will truly be pushing the sell by date for Daniel. However he literally has nothing else to his name aside from a rumoured cameo in Star Trek Wars 7.

Same here I truly do not care about the colour of Daniel's hair. If a blonde actor who could play 007 had been cast I would not be here. Although maybe I would if the direction were the same Emo wannabe stories.
Dominic Cooper could be a choice. I'm not sure where they go after Daniel departs. I can't imagine they can pick up where his Bourne-Bond leaves off, also if they do a fifth it could be the death of Bond in a wheelchair at nursing home ala Poirot. Actually there was a rumour the fifth would be completing the arc of 'fresh' 'young' agent to end of career, so a reboot of the universe to a fresh young Bond would make sense if this happened.

Problem with Henry is he has come close to the role twice, famously in 2005 where he was the directors choice, then again before Skyfall where he was reportedly in hush-hush talks with EON about the role. Remember Craig's contract almost expired between QOS and SF, also there was a faction in EON who wanted to make a Bond for a new decade with a new direction and new actor. Maybe these blokes have a strategy for after Craig. Sincerely hope there is a plan for after Daniel, there was not one for after Pierce which brought about absolute chaos. (Althou I thank god the bloody Dugray bloody Scott faction slash backup plan never came about.)

Truly Henry is probably too big a name, he might be a contender however I can't see it happening with him helming another franchise for a rival studio.
Dominic's career is picking up as well. Not sure where he will be by time Craig calls it quits.

If 2016 is the year of a 007 casting call all bets are off.
Maybe, just maybe, Bond might become exciting again!

Cr-egg's Bond career over 10 years has been more chaos than film since his 2005 hiring. The world needs a rest from him.

Outside of this forum, I have not seen anyone champion Cavill. Most are happy with Craig continuing. Those that are ready for a new Bond, are suggesting names like Jack Davenport, Jack Huston, Dan Stevens, and Idris Elba etc...

This forum is pretty heavy pro cavill, but outside bond forums I don't know if any would object to Cavill, cooper, or any of the other names we've talked about for years.

Bond fans even if we counted all the forums and groups together are a small slice of the 70-80 million who buy tickets each movie. Not even a fraction of the total worth worrying about. All eon has learned from Craig is fans will piss and moan about everything, but if enough suckers buy a ticket they can do as they please ripping off other movies and stories because they are too lazy to make their own movies from scratch.
Even quantum the worst movie in the series couldn't change their mindset.

I don't think a leading man can kill the series as it is now because the brand is strong enough to keep it going. What most people think of when they hear a bond movie is coming out is stuck in the impression Connery and bondmania established in the 60's and most couldn't tell you what the last 3 movies were about or even the last 10. But they think of the bond theme, fast cars, hot women, cool locations. Even if they really haven't seen that in over a decade it's what they think they'll get by going to the movie.
Bond fans break it all down and know what worked and what didn't average joes don't care and imho will keep buying tickets until the idea of bond dies out.

And lets not forget that 2 past Bonds came close to the role, only to get the part later on. Dalton in 1968, and 1986 (not too mention a rumoured offering in 1980/1981) and Brosnan in 1986. My feelings on Cavill aside, I would be surprised if he was cast, what with a potential 2 franchise on his hands (that is if U.N.C.L.E is a success).

My #2 choice for the current Bond, would be James D'Arcy (my former #1).

People always ask who is today's Connery when it come to casting Bond but who is today's Dalton? Is there a young man out there who could take on the role as young as Dalton was when first offered?

The vehicles in Spectre: Image Image The Jaguar C-X75, Range Rover Sport SVR and Land Rover Defender Big Foot are all set to feature, with the C-X75 to form part of spectacular chase scene in Rome alongside the Aston Martin DB10.

There's bound to be an actor with a similar style/career today (just like Brosnan has been called the Cary Grant of his generation). Dalton was about 25/26 when offered for OHMSS. I've got to say, i'm glad that Dalton wasn't Bond back then, he looked far to wet behind the ears for Bond. They could have done the reboot back then, but I prefer to have Bonds early ears a mystery.

No Aston this time around. Was there one in SF...?

EDIT
Now I remember, there was the continuity scrambling DB5.

Expect more upheavals. And anyone who believes that everything's fine with Pascal because she got a position as a producer is delusional. THANK YOU!
All absolutely correct.
And I've said this from the start. So THANK YOU!
Now excuse me, I'm gonna go watch that Man from U.N.C.L.E. trailer another ten times at least.

Listen, I am enjoying this trailer so much, I can't even begin to explain... THIS STUFF IS GREAT! Did you watch it? Did I mention it's awesome? LOL.
Seriously though. Great action scenes? Check. Charisma in spades? Check. Perfect Bond looks? Check. Great humour? CHECK.
IT HAS EVERYTHING BOND SHOULD HAVE. (can't even believe I'm saying this... it used to be the other way around, that other movies tried to have what Bond has!)

The "cheeky" scene at 2:03 was quite nice. It looks like a FUN ride of a retro themed spy film. You have your Valentine's Day present. Don't bother with 50 Shades Of Grey now :!:

You DO know that I couldn't care less about Valentine's Day because it's my birthday, right? I got my birthday present!! AND HEY!! now that's offensive stuff, to mention that 50 Shades trash in a post about me!!

Also and by the way, MANY comments stating how this shows how Cavill would be a great Bond ON YOUTUBE. And I'm saying this because I've seen some utter nonsense stated about Cavill and his approval factor as Bond in previous pages. Short memory is apparently a thing. When Craig came along and people didn't know he had been cast, A LOT of people OUTSIDE this forum wanted Henry Cavill as Bond and they kept saying he could take over from Craig anyway. And I mean even Craig lovers. So let's kindly stop fabricating stuff like "oh people only like Cavill as Bond on here". That couldn't be further from the truth.
Regardless, youtube comments from the general public speak. We're certainly not the only ones seeing who he should play. There were many such comments under the video that has now been removed, and there are others in the second version I posted. It's a quite EASY thing to deduce, that he'd have broad support, first off because he had it even before Craig was cast, and second, because a LOT of people have seen his work meantime, they know he's good and they SEE he has the perfect looks for Bond. And unlike Craig, he really does have the perfect looks. INCLUDING over 6 ft 1 in height.

Or as close as he is going to get. He might be tall dark and handsome, but that isn't enough, Cavill lacks that certain something, an edge. Connery had in his first two, Lazenby had it, and Dalton had it. Cavill just doesn't. But I hope U.C.L.E is a hit, just to keep Cavill well away from Bond. We don't need Brosnan MK 2.
