John P. Drake wrote:Some people are just too much of stupid retards to think anyone can be anything, these days. And that doesn't go for Bond only (I couldn't care less), hell this "colour blind" thing is too much of a fraud that gives me a splitting headache! No such absolute thing as "racism" when we actually express no-nonsense things. If a character is white, written white, and like the good old Sweeney said, never experienced racism in his background, then how could you bloody cast an actor of another race in that role for God's sake?! Hell, Colin Salmon said to someone I know once that "Bond shouldn't be black, and will not be black in this time and age." Batman has been alive for 75 years, or over, and I've never seen DC making him black. Why?! Because they think straight, not narrow. Racism comes when we don't give the blacks or Asians the same human and equal rights to work like us, live like us, become doctors like us and have the same rights like we do. But to say, a white can be black or vice versa? Now, that takes things to the level of absolute ignorance :!: :!: :!: I'm really really fed up with this politically correct piece of crap. :!: :!: :!: :cuss:

P.S. Apologies for letting go of my anger in a very rude manner.
It really frustrates me as well. As I've said before, if people want a super spy character of a certain ethnicity, create a whole new series instead of changing an established one. I don't know why some people encourage this creative laziness from Hollywood. If there was a long-running series that had, for example, a black main character, and then suddenly a white actor is considered for the role, not only would I find it just as ridiculous, it would certainly create a lot of controversy. A character's looks and personalities help to distinguish him or her from others. When people picture a generic image of James Bond, he usually looks something along the lines of EA's Bond in Agent Under Fire.

For me, Craig has already stepped over the forbidden line. If it gets any worse than that, we'll be in Casino Royale '67 territory. Quite amusing, considering the whole paranoia of the Austin Powers parodies.

Hey all, had a good christmas so far?, sorry for not replying recently (still not 100%).

Bjmdds: I forgot to reply about doc who, yes the moon being a giant egg was incredibly stupid and I try and pretend that episodes doesn't exist (along with that stupid episode about the trees coming to life and saving the earth from a meteor shower (that didn't happen (just like the happening).

I'm no racist either and heard about Idris being picked as bond, bond is white he should stay white, making him black is like making shaft white, you don't do that, Idris is a great actor no doubt but he'd be better off as a new 00 then 007, the same is being said for doctor who ie he can be black or female, why in gods name would an almost 2000 year old eccentric time travelling alien suddenly decide to change colour or sex?..it was stupid with the master as a female but that's probably down to the master finding another host body and not his own (imo brian blessed should be the master).

Pc is going too far, first it's neutered bond and now it's going to do the same again and then some to other properties, I can take nick fury being black in the avengers (even if that was the ulimate marvel universe version as it still worked very well) but there is no alt universe for these guys and for bond to wake up a different colour in a new film is just beeping stupid, shall we have an indian, asian bond next, shall we remake a bruce lee movie with a white man as bruce lee (yes I know kung fu with David Carrodine was that back then in the 60s but still..).

If anyone has seen the pilot for the failed reboot of ironside (where the main character isn't disabled and it really ticked a lot of people off).

Anyway look what happened with spiderman in the comics, yes peter died and was replaced with...miles (who was quickly forgotten not long after when they bought peter back), you don't change an icon just because you want to appease someone, sod that, want to make optimus prime sound Jamaican next or megatron chinese, if it sounds like I'm being racist I'm not but for god sake hollywood and the media stop screwing with something that isn't broken (and in todays bonds case is already far too broken).

As we have seen from the released emails from Sony, morons are running Hollywood Shaken, and we have to witness their results :!: It's still amazing that the Harry Potter series was as great as it was and it's originality is what sold it.

Bilbo has done his job this month. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (HP spin-off) will take his place, and that's not until less than 2 years from now.

DUDE. ENOUGH WITH THIS ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE OF BOND. You're acting as though that you're hoping the classic Bond actor will return. In my alternative universe, Pierce is 5 years younger than he really is today and plays Bond up to 2012 then succeeded by Benedict Cumberbatch. We're talking about the FUTURE here, and the future is that anybody or anything can be Bond. That picture you posted is THE FUTURE, NOT my alternative universe.

Broccoli's idea of the classic Bond is Cr-egg and Pascal's is Elba, so who knows where this mess is headed..............."Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them contains the history of Magizoology and describes 75 magical species found around the world. Scamander says that he collected most of the information found in the book through observations made over years of travel and across five continents. He notes that the first edition was commissioned in 1918 by Mr Augustus Worme of Obscurus Books. However, it was not published until 1927. It is now in its 52nd edition. In the Harry Potter universe, the book is a required textbook for first-year Hogwarts students, having been an approved textbook since its first publication. It is not clear why students need it in their first year, as students do not take Care of Magical Creatures until their third year. However, it may be used as an encyclopaedia of Dark creatures studied in Defence Against the Dark Arts classes. In his foreword to the book, Albus Dumbledore notes that it serves as an excellent reference for Wizarding households in addition to its use at Hogwarts. The book features doodles and comments supposedly added by Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts, provides the Foreword and explains the purpose of the special edition of this book (the Comic Relief charity). At the end, he tells the reader, "...The amusing creatures described hereafter are fictional and cannot hurt you." He repeats the Hogwarts motto: "Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus", Latin for "Never tickle a sleeping dragon".........FBF, this new film theme could be HUGE (with the Jurassic Park films being popular in a similar way) :!:

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park (1993), Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor's interest, which backfires horribly. It has been rumored that genetic engineering has created a creature, the D-Rex, with more power and voracity than a regular T-Rex, with almost human like intelligence. So if it escapes (we all know it will), there’s going to be a whole new range of problems. And it’s expected that there will be an epic showdown between an original T-Rex and his newer, modified cousin! Jurassic World is scheduled to hit theatres on June 12th, 2015, and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Jake Johnson. Marvel are doing a Black Panther film in a few years. Imagine if the re-write the character as a white guy...

Also probably because you wouldn't be able to distinguish his chin from the the batsuit! Smart move for stealth and camo techniques if you think about it.

I must say I was annoyed when they cast a black actor as the Human torch. I'm not racist, I just hate it when classic characters are altered; if it ain't broke, dont fix it. The wierd thing was that I didn't really mind so much about the others: Warmachine, Heimdall, Perry White, Nick Fury, Harvey Dent (1989), Electro, but The Human Torch really irked me. At least DC seem to be staying true so far unlike Marvel, I mean Disney, who are so P.C. it boggles the mind

They already made Felix Leiter and Moneypenny black, so we'll probably see a black Bond as well sometime in the future.

I dunno, some of the emails leaked in the Sony hack blamed the casting of Denzel Washington in The Equalizer for that film's lack of success at the box office. Then again, they got so much flak for it that they may cast a black Bond in order to clear their name.

It's illuminating to find out what goes on behind closed doors at the studios. I think we will see a 'Black Bond', and a 'female Bond', probably in our life time. Err. Well before the 100th anniversary.

We nearly did have a female Bond, of sorts. That Jinx spinoff had early pre-production work before being mothballed. If they were going to do a Bond girl spinoff, I think Wai-Lin would have been a better choice myself.
