Personally I think the Craig series of Bonds are a disgrace and the people who make them have completely ruined a great series. So I'll talk freely about information about the latest dose of pretentious rubbish being passed off as Bond. :D

These people are bloody RIDICULOUS. They're acting as if they had an even REMOTE importance in all this. The 500 morons drooling after Craig who read their spoiler threads do NOT constitute anything even remotely RELEVANT to the gross of the movie, that I repeat by the way WON'T break even even with a 1.2 BILLION dollars gross.

I ABSOLUTELY agree with you, Kristatos. I DESPISE what they have done to Bond because THEY HAVE DESTROYED Bond with these insane, offensive Craig movies. So I sure as hell will freely discuss any and ALL information made publicly available that SHOWS what a LOUSY job they are doing with this movie and how much it sucks.

I think even the fanboys are seeing the writing on the wall and realizing how PUT OFF people are by the RIDICULOUS amount of crap that is in the spoilers for the movie- AND THAT is the real reason why they pretend to play "oh we are such morally correct people". On top of the fact they're in Sony's and EON's pockets.
PATHETIC.

Carry on discussing, cause over here, we're NOT at the service of anyone BUT TRUTH AND JAMES BOND as in the ACTUAL one and the REAL Fleming, not the one Craig fanboys twist and turn to justify the idiocy spewed in Craig movies.

EA to answer your questions.
1) Sony was attacked over the release of their new film "The Interview" in which they plot the assassination of the CURRENT North Korean dictator (or leader or however you want to call him). Let's just say whoever approved that script is a moron, and obstinately going on with this is in BAD TASTE to say the least because no matter how evil he is, THIS DUDE IS ALIVE and leading that nation. Idiocy at its finest. SO they say North Korea is behind the attack BUT the latest theory is that they managed because someone ON THE INSIDE, INSIDE SONY, helped them.

2) YES it is a ridiculous soap opera, or Harlequin Romance rendition of Bond if you prefer, and it's all about "Bond getting a life" which is said to him by both Moneypenny AND M two consecutive times. While he is in the hospital. Freaking pathetic. And it ends with Bond walking away with the girl he suddenly falls in love with (Madeline) and tossing his gun in the river. I wish I was joking.

3) there is no fun whatsoever, it's all predictable or ridiculously convoluted for no good reason, or otherwise hitting people in the head with anvils for how obvious they are making things.

4) trust me if there was something good in there I'd tell you because I LIKE to find something good in things. There isn't. We're back to QoS levels of lame... possibly worse.

If so, it's going to be very amusing to see how Craig fans try to defend it.

You know, perhaps the Craig era truly is more humorous than what we've been giving it credit for.

Have you seen the spoilers that have been posted by CNN, Gawker etc? They specifically said they read two versions of the script and both have major problems in the third act and the ending is lame. It's not even me saying this, it's people who published parts of things and couldn't care less what Craig fanboys think. They also commented on how good the "love stories" for Bond have been in the past two movies and said "not very". Which is only the truth. Again... not me saying that. Them.

Well they're filming with an unfinished script to begin with

This whole thing is laughable, and how Sony has been exposed for its utter incompetence and flat-out inadequacy to run certain things is even more hilarious. Let's not even get into EON, with Babs looking like she is nothing but a child stomping her feet to get what she wants no matter what is the most sensible thing to do. The only ones coming out of this looking good? MGM PEOPLE! Cause they made a REASONABLE and SENSIBLE request based on business, and were shut down by two incompetent, bratty women who care more about their toy boy Craigster than they do about business.

The point that no one is making and that WILL completely ruin them is that A LOT of the information that has been released is VERY relevant to shareholders. When you keep from your shareholders that you are filming a movie going over budget with no finished script and that you REFUSE to CUT DOWN costs and back the brat named Babs B, you are taking action that VERY much concerns them and that DOES hinder the profits of your unit in which people are investing. Both investors and shareholders have EVERY right to be put up to speed with this stuff, whether Sony likes it or not. And that's why Bloomberg had a lot of articles about these leaks: because they ARE relevant to shareholders. Just like it IS relevant to shareholders that they are investing in a company that has such poor policies, that they privilege the release of an idiotic and in bad taste movie about killing the living dictator of North Korea (it does not matter how evil he is, this is STILL in bad taste, and in very poor political judgment, too) over the privacy and safety of their own employees!
There is no way Sony gets away with ANY of their requests.

I am just laughing at the rewrites, because they are filming already so it is absolutely impossible to rewrite most of it. The best they can do is rewrite that horrid third act yet AGAIN, not to mention the absolutely ridiculous Harlequin-romance style ending.
Anyone sensible would stop filming at this point, re do the whole thing and move up the release. With ALL the time they have had to film and finish things between one movie and the other, this is where they are. This is only THEIR fault. Sony and EON's. Utter lack of programming and scheduling and completely amateur attitude throughout. Not that we didn't know, but it's quite pleasing to see it exposed to the world. No more excuses for them.

You figure they would have learned their lesson after Quantum Of Solace, and therefore make such a sensible decision. But I guess the film still made too much money for them to not really care.

QoS made a loss, not a profit. Always bear in mind that to merely break even they must make THREE TIMES AT LEAST the production costs at the box office. And by production costs we mean what is declared as budget PLUS the advertising that is always no less than another 100-120 million dollars for something like Bond. LESS than a third of the box office gross goes to the studio, and then there's taxes and all the rest. Most people don't realize this.
So, they had a lousy movie AND a loss with QoS. I doubt the DVD sales made up for the expenses given how bad the movie was.

What can happen is that after MANY years, even a movie that bombs makes money. For example, the Kevin Costner movie Waterworld, ended up making money. After MANY years. Via rights for TV mainly. Cause even movies that bomb in the end are shown on TV. And TVs WORLDWIDE pay to broadcast them.

So Gawker just released the latest batch of emails that leaked from Sony hacking, and it is hilarious. So, per MULTIPLE internal memos of Sony executives, The Interview was deemed "desperately unfunny" and way too violent by SONY EXECS themselves, WELL before they were hacked.

This is hilarious. So these incompetent FOOLS got themselves HACKED over a HORRID movie that by the way seems to have BOMBED at the box office this weekend already?
Not to mention they have been exposed for gender discrimination re: wages, racism and all-around incompetence.
WHAT in the hell possesses these execs at Sony, is beyond me.
Read here, I promise it's VERY entertaining.

Oh my God. If they think these will convince people, they better rethink. He looks like a stuffed turkey replaced his chest. And he was and is so obviously out of shape, it's embarrassing. Not that with his height the excess of muscles is good either. But he needs to be LEAN, a concept that escapes Craig entirely. He either looks scrawny or like an inflated Ken doll (except he is not nearly as pretty and tall as Ken).

Where does this take Bond 25 in the aftermath of Sony firing Pascal most likely, and Broccoli running wild with Eon? If Cr-egg is hopefully ousted after this garbage, will they FINALLY find the proper 7th 007 for the next 14 years with 6 films being done? Does the name Henry Cavill sound familiar? He could EASILY do 6 films OR MORE at his age but Broccoli should be removed as well to REBOOT the HEADS OF PRODUCTION of future Bond films. If they do that, even FBF and even the Drake might come back to the franchise.

In an ideal world, casting Dominic Cooper as Bond, bringing the series back the the realms of spy thrillers with class and picking up the original timeline that ended with Die Another Day.

Add this new nonsese to the mix:"They have both landed iconic roles as the new bond girls but it seems Monica Bellucci and Léa Seydoux are being linked in an off-screen drama too": Last year, Italian siren Monica announced that her 14-year marriage to French actor Vincent Cassel was over, and around the same time, he was filming steamy love scenes with Léa as they played the lead roles in Beauty And The Beast.

According to The Sun newspaper, the pair's relationship apparently seems to have blossomed off screen as they were frequently seen out on the town together.

A source close to both actors told the paper: "It was not easy for Monica. Her marriage was falling apart, and there was Vincent enjoying himself with Léa. Léa has previously admitted only to having a secret boyfriend, and that "neither of us was free" when they first met...........so now the two Bond girls are involved in a real love triangle and Broccoli 'just happened' to cast both of these in her film now?????????????? It was NOT coincidence but what could "greeny" possibly think the audience lure would be in this for her crummy film? Where's Ale on this new tidbit? Image
