7:56 PM - 12 Mar 2014----------------Affleck is likely bulking up for the role in order to go head-to-head with Henry Cavill, who played Superman in Man of Steel and will reprise the role for the sequel.
Affleck has received a lot of criticism ever since his casting as Batman was announced in August 2013. Most recently, actor Seth Green criticized the casting choice, suggesting that Affleck was not capable of standing side-by-side with Cavill's Superman.
"If this movie is meant to be the idealistic alien, humans-before-all-else Superman, and this is supposed to be the grizzled, weathered Batman who's been living in Gotham, fighting crime himself for 10 years, you need a guy who's older," Green explained in February. "You need a guy's who's got more weight, you need a guy that a Henry Cavill Superman is gonna be actually scared of."
the way Seth Green explained it I agree with him. He also had a better clue than a lot of people kissing afflecks butt.
I think the old Bruce Wayne from beyond would scare the piss out of green superman
EPIX cable channel is showing SK-Awful at 8:00pm tonight. I will sit through it for as long as I can. ST Into Darkness and The Avengers will also be on this weekend so I will catch all three during Time Warner's free 3 month promotion of this new channel of movies.
Favorite Bond Movie: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible, Kingsman: The Secret Service and The November Man or any upcoming actioners starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good since it will help him expand his reputation as an actor especially in the action realm)
Favorite Movies: Star Wars Indiana Jones Star Trek The Dark Knight Trilogy Harry Potter Middle-Earth The Matrix Mission: Impossible The Mummy Jurassic Park Godzilla

Perhaps Tim would be better off in Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Boy, you really have been away from the forum a long time. It's been mentioned on here once or twice

It's good to be back. I never knew I was so popular!
I was reading this article about Kate Bush and it says she turned down the opportunity to do the Moonraker theme. I'm sad that we never got this, it would have been brilliant.
I watched SK-Awful tonight. It's the second time I watched it since it's release. Utter profound trash and seeing that creepy Q with an ugly, porcupinous Cr-egg and poor acting all the way around is too much to tolerate. The song was junk, and I preferred Gladys Knight's LTK over it by a mile. Cr-egg really is a disgrace as Bond. How did he survive a bullet wound falling into a river?

Katie is it a for sure diagnosis? High PSAs can be misleading there is a very good MRI test now available. I hope your dad pulls through
Chief of Staff, 007's gone round the bend. Says someone's been trying to feed him a poisoned banana. Fellow's lost his nerve. Been in the hospital too long. Better call him home.
BJ about the Monkees a few weeks back I saw part of a documentary on them last part I saw was on of them threatening to punch a lawyer :lol:What a shame they were there but not going to play.

I saw there was a fake movie poster or something out for Bond 24 I guess some fell for it. Any who follow the movies know they'd never announce the name now.

It turns out Micky Dolenz performed Friday night of the convention and just sat there half asleep with the rest of us as Mike Nesmith performed his own songs that not many cared for on Saturday night. Saturday night should be for the group to perform at a convention called The Monkees

Real life problems. I'm hanging in there, but I've been better.
My dad's definitely got cancer..fortunately it's very slow growing..... he's still kinda trying to figure out what he wants to do-the surgery he's thinking of having is robotic-very high tech, and he's out of the hospital in 2 days.
Yeah.. San Diego is a good place to live if you need specialist medication/treatment..there are a lot of vanguard doctors who will sit down with you and discuss ALL of the options. I don't think there are many places like that-they're spread out all over the country and not everyone has access to them-which is a shame.

Even our beloved classic Bond had some pretty unbelievable survival stories at times to be fair.

Well, he was shot twice, but only one bullet was found. Go figure. LOL! Of course, Classic Bond had some unbelievable yet making sense moments. But, Skyfall was like... done for the sake of pulling a soap opera story, with loads of holes in the storyline. It was an epic fail. I have reviewed it somewhere in here.

Well, the NuBond films bill themselves as being more realistic, and so deserve to be held to a higher standard. But even with that said, I'm struggling to think of any survival moments in the classic series quite as unbelievable as surviving being shot and then falling about 100 feet into a river (does anyone here know which railway bridge that shot was filmed on, and how tall it is?)

I want to say it was filmed in Turkey. We had stories about it at the time. Originally they wanted to film in India however when the railway would not I convince 100 million people for filming them moved the location. To I think Turkey.

It was definitely Turkey, but I meant the specific bridge. (edit: found it. It was the Varda viaduct, and it's actually 322 feet that Bond fell with a bullet in him and survived. Movie physics: any fall is survivable provided it's broken by water).

Did a quick calculation. @ 98 meters 78kg
Speed at impact:43.83 m/s
or157.78 km/h
Time until impact: 4.47 s
Energy at impact: 74911.20 joules
Thank the Lord water is always soft and welcoming.
Edit over 30 meter is almost 100% fatal water or no. However I did find a story about a 28 year old rock climber who fell 90 meters, she fell 60 meters on to a rock surface then fell another 30 again landing on a rocky surface. I suppose this proves it's not impossible. However she was badly injured an apparently Bond was only shot and soaked. Nothing dampening his grim outlook on life.
