Losing a chance to play James Bond to the very intense Daniel Craig, *and* losing the Green Lantern role to Ryan Reynolds haven't dampened this heartthrob's enthusiasm — or appeal — one bit. At one point, he was even slated to play every teen girl's fanged fantasy, Edward Cullen, in the Twilight series, with the author Stephenie Myer rooting for him vociferously. But alas, when casting began, Cavill was found to be too old — 24 — to play a brooding 17-year-old vampire boy.

New information from Latino-Review, one of the most reputable casting scoop websites, states that the Man of Steel 2 producers are looking for a black actor in his early 20s to play a role in the film. According to the report, sources say that the actor must by physically fit. Most intriguingly, the role will not be a one-off for the actor, as they will be recurring in other DC superhero films. Since the role is intended to be "recurring," it suggests that it will be an important one in the grand scheme of the D.C. Cinematic Universe. The report suggests certain DC characters like Dick Grayson/Robin and John Stewart/Green Lantern as the identity of the role..........."Michael B. Jordan has been cast as Johnny Storm in the new Fantastic Four movie. For many prospective viewers, that announcement will raise the question that any announcement of a Michael B. Jordan movie raises: Will he be shirtless, and for how much screen time? Other superhero fans, though, are distracted by less wholesome concerns. Johnny Storm, they have noticed, is white. Michael B. Jordan is black. How, they wonder, can this be?" http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainmen ... es/283979/

"If you thought Zack Snyder and company would have learned from last year’s disappointing Superman reboot “Man of Steel,” think again: Jesse Eisenberg — best known for playing Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network” — has been cast as notorious supervillain Lex Luthor in the sequel.........So far there doesn’t seem to be much to look forward to in this movie, apart from seeing Superman fight Batman. That’ll be awesome. But this is the second surprising (and disheartening) casting decision that has been made for this film. Popular actor and Boston native Ben Affleck playing Bruce Wayne is like Roger Moore and his red hair playing James Bond: Big names don’t necessarily make good characters. I thought we already learned this lesson when George Clooney tried his hand at the Dark Knight in “Batman & Robin” (1997)............Plus, unlike Nolan’s debut bat film, “Batman Begins” (2005), “Man of Steel” tanked. Superman fans are demanding some retribution for this next installment (myself included), which is supposedly leading up to a “Justice League” film or three. How are they going to do that if Lex Luthor is a lean, pimple-faced pushover?"

"Tanked" is a bit strong. It was no Avengers or Iron Man 3, but it wasn't Ishtar either.

In the article it says: "Popular actor and Boston native Ben Affleck playing Bruce Wayne is like Roger Moore and his red hair playing James Bond: Big names don’t necessarily make good characters"

What's that supposed to mean? Does the author dislike Craig as Bond because of his red hair or gray skinhead?

New York Times confirms Wrap report from January, saying the show was in trouble

“Piers Morgan Live” will be canceled after a three-year run in CNN’s 9 p.m. news show, the network confirmed to TheWrap.

“It’s been a painful period and lately we have taken a bath in the ratings,” Morgan told David Carr of the New York Times, who reported that Piers Morgan Live will “probably” see its last episode air this March. Though CNN said no official end date for the show has been determined yet. (Finally :!: )

Hulkamania is running wild again in the WWE.

Hulk Hogan, perhaps the biggest star in the company's 50-year history, is set to bring the red-and-yellow back to the sports entertainment behemoth and will host the April 6 WrestleMania in New Orleans.

Hogan returns to the WWE after a six-year absence and will be on Monday's "Raw" on the USA Network. Hogan will also bring the muscle for the WWE's launch of its own network: He will appear on "WWE Raw Backstage Pass," airing live on WWE Network at 11:05 p.m. on Monday night.

"I definitely want to stay here in the WWE," Hogan told The Associated Press on Friday. "I just can't see myself ever being anywhere else. This is home. It always has been home. In the twilight of my career, what a great way to be part of the final hurrah for Hulk Hogan and all the Hulkamaniacs."

I bet you will be getting the champagne out. Larry King's show Politicking is on Russia Today - it's quite good fun.

Is Sting going to WWE too?

I hope the airport, docks and train stations are on alert. We wouldn't want him doing something silly like trying to come back to the UK.

He is a waste Toothpaste, a Cowell crony with no talent whatsoever. We predicted his end here previously and we were correct. Talk of a Kathy Griffin/Anderson Cooper duo to replace him is another ludicrous concept and will fail. As an aside, that bodacious brat Alec Baldwin let his MSNBC buddies have it for not supporting him during his trials and tribulations.

‘Dallas’ Season 3 Debuts to 2.7 Million Viewers-----The premiere is slightly down from last season’s 3 million — and nowhere near the Season 1 number — but still solid. TNT’s drama “Dallas” kicked off its third season on Monday night with 2.7 million viewers, roughly an 11 percent drop from Season 2′s opening episode, which was watched by 3 million people. Among key demos, this premiere garnered 1.1 million adults 25-54 and 946,000 adults 18-49, according to Nielsen’s Live + Same Day metric. The total, and the demo numbers match Season 2′s averages (2.7 million viewers, with 951,000 adults 18-49 and 1.1 million adults 25-54).

Didn't I say this is the Big G we could have had back in the '90s and that will achieve critical success which the '98 version failed to do?

Can't be as bad as the last movie. Right?
