Moonraker is an excellent Bond film and I too loved the gondola scene.

Guess you won't like the forthcoming fan edit that Steve Worek is currently plugging on alt.fan.james-bond then. Mr. Worek is promising to excise most of the Bondola scene and the rest of the silly humour (no more Dolly!) in order to make Moonraker into a straight Bond film rather than a Carry On parody. My initial reaction on hearing that was "blimey, it'll only be about 10 minutes long", but Worek says that the task was actually easier than he expected. and the silly bits were surprisingly easy to remove.

Moonraker would have been a terrific serious Bond movie too, but the silly bits don't bother me this time really

I don't know, normally I prefer the serious Bond, but this film is one of the best and extremely entertaining, the comedy bits are hilarious
