You forget about Henry, Michael, and all other handsome folks as Bond. Might as well have Manson or someone like George the Animal as Bond. If you want to bring Will Sasso in, that's fine as long as he's FAT.

Well whether you like the film or not..........the public are still going to the mutilplexes in decent numbers to see SF!

In the UK, SF has now overtaken 'Toy Story 3', and 'Harry Pothead Deathly Hallows 2', to claim the 2nd highest grossing film (numerically only) of all-time in the UK, and now only trails that weird 3D film 'Avatar' for top spot. SF is still some $31 mil behind. Avatar reached approx $149 mil, SF as of yesterday was on $118. Its gonna be close, but if SF does catch Avatar its gonna take quite a few more weeks, as the takings slowly dwindle down each week.

Just thought i'd let you all know! :)

Avatar was junk too EA. I don't get the hype on that one either. It must be the brainwashing of the minions that FBF refers to making people believe in the hype of a sub par fils and creating a frenzy to see it. Tell me EA, exactly what about Javier BOREDOM's villain kept you awake during the film? That role is great to watch for insomnia. Tell me whose acting was superb deserving an Oscar? Tell me how you did not find this plot insulting as a traditional Bond fan. Tell me where the FUN exists in watching this film. I await your response.

bjmdds wrote:I saw it..........I have connections.......all 2 hours and 17 minutes EA..........I now have the same frame of reference as you.........Dench was boring, callous, cold, and inept. The film's opening was decent for 13 minutes......after that a snooze fest until the battle for Hogwarts at the end.......rip off of other franchises........DC looked dread awful physically and gaunt.......the plot mocked the incompetence of MI6..........the villain was a yawner and pathetically portrayed by an overhyped actor, Javier BOREDOM, who looked ridiculous in the film, and is one of the ALL TIME WORST villains EVER :!: .......you thought Le Chiffre had no personality? Same with his clown. Do not insult GF by comparing this tiresome montage of celluloid malpractice to any of Connery's classic films and GE was much more enjoyable watching Bond on a mission to save the UK, not his grandmother figure or his own soul. Utter drek, to the nth degree. Cavill would need a new Moneypenny but since the green vegetable has her heart set on Elba the stage is probably set for more desecration and destruction of the franchise. Take a good look at the cranial structure of my new avatar and compare it to Cr-egg in this film and you will see the stark similarity that exists.
I guess you didnt like the film then 'BJ' :)

Being serious, i do understand your views, i think the difference here is that some Bond fans can live with the changes to the franchise, while others cant, and want a particular type of Bond film.

I do agree, that the film was a little slow in places, particularly the MI6 scenes, and Craig did look a little odd in some scenes in the film, but i didnt think the film was bad......in fact i thought it was pretty decent.
Incidently, this story about Idris Elba, is supposed to be a load of rubbish....in fact i read an interview online where someone asked Babs about this, and she said that she could only be in love with one Bond, and that was Cregg....oops i mean Craig!

Its difficult to answer this.........because SF was a very unusual Bond film......i do think it appealed more to UK citizens as they could identify with many things in the film. I did think Javier Bardem was good in the film though he could of done with more screen time. Talking of screen time, it was a shame the French actress playing Severine wasnt on screen for long. I enjoyed the film, but it didnt give me a sparkle when i left the cinema, like i used to get when i was younger watching Bond films....maybe its just me, with getting older i suppose.

No, no, no.......it's NOT you EA, it's this: " I don’t think it’s grim, it’s just that especially compared — we were just coming off the Pierce Brosnan ones, which I think were lighter and more escapist.

MGW: Yeah, yeah, this is very much a straight thriller, action-thriller. I think Javier there makes it — you can’t help but smile, even though he’s somewhat a horrific character. The way he does it, it kind adds something. Barbara, you’ve done a great job of carrying on your father’s legacy with the Bond films, but how do you think you see Bond differently than he did?

BB: I think the character that Ian Fleming wrote was so complex, I think that’s one of the reasons he’s been able to be portrayed by the various actors through the various decades. I think Cubby had a feeling that Bond was able to change and evolve through the times. I don’t think he would be surprised, or…

MGW: I think he would be very pleased, actually.

BB: I think he would love Daniel Craig’s portrayal of Bond. Such a shame that he hasn’t been able to see it, but I think he would be absolutely thrilled." EON is the problem. EA, you want to see the fantastic, the gadgetry, the beautiful women, the excitement of being THRILLED by a Bond film. Be truthful, has any Cr-egg film thrilled you like the prior 20 did? http://www.slashfilm.com/film-interview ... ng-ending/

"So maybe the producers aren’t quite ready for an openly bisexual Bond, or a lady Bond. They’re also not jumping to replace Craig in that bespoke Tom Ford suit either, despite a report that Idris Elba was being courted to become the first black 007. Broccoli set the record straight. “I love Idris and I met him on something else,” she explained. “We are very happy with Daniel Craig [laughs] and I always say I can only be in love with one person at a time.” “Daniel Craig is James Bond," she continued. "It’s not even… we can’t even think about it. It’s like going down the aisle to get married and looking for your next husband. It doesn’t work that way. But [Elba] is a phenomenal actor. With Craig signed on for at least two more Bond films, we likely won’t see a new Bond come into the picture for a few more years. But could the future of Bond ostensibly be color-blind? “Oh, absolutely,” said Broccoli. “Why not?”

BJ....you can forget about Henry as Bond. With Bond 23 as DC's TSWLM, you might as well send in the freaks, and you know the pact I bestowed upon you along with our fellow rebels.

Almost verbatim what she said about Brozza in 2002 & 3.

She makes it sound as if she has Madonna's "Like a Virgin" playing softly in the background when she does the one on one interviews.

As well as Pierce's upcoming non-Bond films. The Coup, an action-thriller, is his next movie to be filmed.

Barbara Broccoli has officially lost it. And considering that Michael Wilson has been part of this series for quite some time, he should certainly know better. I wish he would stop being a zombie, and tell Barbara to quit ruining James Bond by doing whatever the hell she feels like.
