The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......

General Bond discussion from Sean Connery to Pierce Brosnan

It's all about other franchises now, and everything is preferable over Bond these days. And I'm not saying movies like Rocky V and Jaws: The Revenge are one of them.

Having watched Batman Begins again, I can't help thinking C Nolan was raised on the Traditional Bond films. In it we have
Plenty of One-liners, action, some good acting. We even get Q in the shape of M Freeman and both he and Batman seem to
be enjoying the outing as much as the audience.
So different from the shambles that Eon have produced and seem still to be making. On one hand we're told Skyfall is to
have more comedy ( even camp ) if Craig is to believed, ( Then he has been less than honest before about the movies ) yet
it has Bond heading out for revenge ( YET AGAIN ) with the death of a mojor character.
I think Skyfall doesn't know what it is, which I think spells a Big Failure at the boxoffice. I can't see this Blend of revenge, pathos
and laughs mixing well. This might be a crazy idea for eon,But why don't the hire a competent action/thriller director ( Like Nolan )
rather than the art house loooooovies they seem to admire so much.

First things first Thunderpussy. You have to rid the franchise of http://www.kwanzoo.com/blog/wp-content/ ... ny_boy.jpg and http://mommylife.net/archives/2009/05/20/broccoli.jpg and THEN rebuild from scratch with Cavill (or Jackman).

You're preaching to the choir with Me bjmdds
they need to scrap this whole reboot crap and pick up after DAD.
Instead of having Bond out for revenge, Here's a wild Idea. why
not have M send him on a Mission.
Now wouldn't that be a nice change. Then let Mr Craig get back to
being a character actor. And let someone who would Enjoy playing
Bond in there.

Eon is already having to put Danielle out there defending the beer product placement. This cannot be good publicity for them 6 months before it's release and it's the last thing Eon wanted or expected. This film will bomb so bad Eon will be shocked and Sony and MGM will raise hell with them. EVERYTHING is off base with this film.

The Dark Knight himself, yes.

And tell me if you're going to see it on the opening night.
