Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
What I truly now believe is that that the rotten green vegetable that took over Eon after her father's death, was tired of living in his shadow and she wanted to make HER statement to the world that SHE has artistic talents and that by casting her masterpiece as Bond and striving for Oscar attention, she could prove HER OWN worth in Hollywood. The problem is she is a clueless dolt who happens to inhabit the current throne at Eon. She drags out her cognitively impaired step brother at their few so-called press conferences who does nothing more than mimic her thoughts to the world, then retires back into oblivion. It's a sad joke. If Mendes really thinks he has a winner on his hands he is a self-enabler as well because from what has been leaked of this monstrosity of a Bond film, his reputation will follow that of Foster's, who must regret ever meeting the sauteed one herself.

One single Oscar nomination (even in the technical category) for Bond 23: Nothing Special and it's Carrot Top for Bond #7.bjmdds wrote:What I truly now believe is that that the rotten green vegetable that took over Eon after her father's death, was tired of living in his shadow and she wanted to make HER statement to the world that SHE has artistic talents and that by casting her masterpiece as Bond and striving for Oscar attention, she could prove HER OWN worth in Hollywood.

I think it has more to do with when Dana died. It may be Dana called the shots up to her death.

I remember as a kid watching Benny Hill, He had a spoof on really bad films.
" El Cheapo Productions " can't help feeling SF is from this company.
At least it will put to rest the argument from many Craig fans that QOS was
a huge hit and made loads at the boxoffice, when like many I always said it
infact made a loss.
Given the huge Cut backs being made I'd say SF is being made as cheaply
as Possible to give them a hit even if it only makes $350 - $400 mill.
I think as a mark of Respect ( given it's low budget and slipping standards )
they take Cubbys mane of it.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Tattoo dropped like a rock this week although it is almost 100 million in the US and 70 million overseas. It might make the $200 million Sony said but I don't think $300 million is possible. I don't see the love for it in the foreign markets Sony said would be there. Sherlock in kicking ass and MI4 has beaten any recent Bond movie and may pass the CR and QOS totals.
I wonder is MI4 preforming so well for $140 million made the studio change their mind about spending $230 million?

Probably big O. That and the fact Tattoo bombed, now 17th http://boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/ after 6 weekends and still under $100 million. Sony is delusional to mention $300 million as their prediction worldwide. How?

http://www.bing.com/travel/content/stat ... i5qcGc.jpg This Red Beach, in Santorini Greece, looks nice for a locale in a Bond film. It was rated one of the world's sexiest beaches. I wonder if Pam Bouvier has ever been here?

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I was talking about this with a friend from Greece this summer and I have to admit my sin: I have never been to the Greek islands, Santorini or Mykonos and the like. My European sea resort abroad is Formentera, a small island in front of Ibiza with beautiful sea and beaches. It's really like bathing in a swimming pool, the sea is Caribbean-like, the only thing missing is the coral barrier. But other than that, super beautiful. I made it a point to go to Greece because I still haven't and it's just not acceptable. Santorini would definitely be a great place to shoot. The question is: why don't they do it? Because they're morons. If they need a replacement for posh places they can't afford this is a posh place nearby with beautiful beaches AND a climate that in March or April when they film is MUCH more suitable to make it pass for a warm Caribbean location than a freaking grey British beach! I can't think that they don't even have enough money to organize a quick trip to Santorini. If they don't, the situation is much more serious than I ever thought.bjmdds wrote:http://www.bing.com/travel/content/stat ... i5qcGc.jpg This Red Beach, in Santorini Greece, looks nice for a locale in a Bond film. I haven't been to Greece..yet
but it's on my list of places to go for sure.
I would think using Greece as a substitute for someplace like the Caribbean(I've been there *sigh* I want to go back!) makes a lot more sense than..an English beach. Stinginess, thy name is EON!

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
If someone like me can find such a spot on the internet, why can't Eon? Exactly what is their problem? Exotic locales ARE an INTEGRAL part of a Bond film, and those filmed in desert terrains are not appealing at all. This beach was ranked in the top 12 sexiest world beaches and I find the incredible colors from the volcanic ash residues a talking point for anyone admiring them.Alessandra wrote:I was talking about this with a friend from Greece this summer and I have to admit my sin: I have never been to the Greek islands, Santorini or Mykonos and the like. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I know you enjoyed the Tattoo flick MP, but for the most part, the film was rebuffed by the masses. I do believe that this sudden stinginess by Sony and MGM does relate to the lack of support of all three of DC's recent releases. I now believe MGW was full of you know what, and Sony and MGM just want this film done as fast as possible and gotten out of the way once and for all, because they have already decided NOT to option a 4th film to Cr-egg as Bond, and instead will announce in the summer of 2013 that http://towleroad.typepad.com/.a/6a00d83 ... 970b-800wi will be announced as the 7th 007katied wrote:I haven't been to Greece..yetbut it's on my list of places to go for sure.

Is there a optimum time to go to Greece. My parents went there in the height of summer, one of the hottest summers anyone could remember. It was fun, but almost too hot. This time of year, it's probably really nice.As is the Caribbean.

Mediterranean cruises are very popular now from the USA MP. When DC is fired as Bond we should all meet in Santorini to celebrate

A Transatlantic cruise and a Panama Canal cruise are both on my bucket list. I don't get sea-sick but hearing some of the stories about how rough the seas get, going across the Atlantic makes me more than a little
