They can, but it gets bleeped out.

So Colbert is PG rated, correct? DC must have been on his guard then for foul language is the norm, not the exception, with the quilled wonder.

Ok Craig haters. You all win. I'm convinced now Craig is a miserable git now too. You've worn me down...... :skull:

As for McQueen, he was the king of cool. There is a passing resemblence between the two actors, but I agree Craig doesn't have the same swagger and coolness that McQueen naturally exuded.
I would hate to stop any of you and ask you about your day job. I might be stabbed

I will not bother to deny Craig can be prickly at times other times he is charming as Bond should be. Those interviews somehow fail to find their way here.......... wonder why? While Daniel Craig is no McQueen he does exude the same macho quality.

Probably should not have come back after four years. Time to hand it off for the good of the franchise.
You find Cr-egg charming at times as Bond? Pray tell, where? Pinpoint the exact moment Jack. He stepped off the small boat in 2005, wearing a life preserver, after clutching on to the sides of the boat with a death grip from fright, and his first words uttered to the media were: "that scared the s--t out of me!" Charming intro Jack? Find me ONE interview where he does not use profanity in his mumbled speech to ANY reporter at a lengthy exchange.

He was great on the Stephen Colbert Show. It was about six weeks ago, when TGWTDT opened. Warm, funny, articulate. When asked, he turned on the Bond persona and it was amazing to watch the instant transformation. I only saw it because I watch Colbert's show. I don't care about actor interviews generally.
His interview with Jon Favreau. He was warm and funny came across as a guy most people would like to know. Some times he can smile and talk cordially other times he give one word answers as happened on the red carpet. Plenty of good examples out there and I sure you can find plenty of bad examples to. I think Robert Pattinson is actually worse at interviews than Craig, it tends to be a first impression with most people I saw a bad interview with Pattinson so I think of him as a bad interview subject, Craig's first interviews many of them were without a doubt bad, but he got better at them as he got more comfortable in the role.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrMz3mUU6KA You find Cr-egg "warm" and "funny" here, and "a guy most people would like to know"? Really? Where's the humor and warmth?

I think it's TV-14, though MPAA ratings for TV are all but meaningless. I have seen the exact same episode of some shows rated TV-PG and TV-14 on different channels in the past.

It's no more or less PG rated then the Daily Show which, when Jon Stewart is doing his monologue, is a constant stream of profanity, most of it still audible with the bleeps. The point is, in the only interview of Craig I've ever seen or read, he didn't curse or mumble. I thought he did fine. And it wasn't a constant stream of softball questions. Could you imagine Roger Moore trying to answer the question, Why is your character so promiscious?

Also, it's my impression that it's difficult to do an interview on the Colbert Show because Colbert is playing a character and the interviewee is never sure of exactly how far along he should go with Colbert's act.

Yep, Colbert's definitely playing a character. I watched his show when he had Radiohead on -that was definitely the case.

bjmdds wrote:American Idol's ratings are WAY down to "under 20 million" watching. They averaged 25 million in the past years. Most people seem to think The Voice is better to watch because the singers are already somewhat established and there is no BS with the horrific ones that Idol struts out for effect. It will be interesting to see if The Voice out does the ratings Idol is now doing ,after the Superbowl in 10 days. IF The Voice does not lose too much of their Superbowl lead in audience, Idol will be in big trouble and Tyler, Jackson, and J-Lo can hit the road once and for all with their show. Cowell's X-Factors tanked on both sides of the ocean. Will Smash and The Voice be the new "it" tv shows? Will Ale finally interview Henry Cavill on the set of The Man Of Steel? Will Sweeney finally become one of us and detest DC as Bond? Will FBF be successful in stopping SPITEFUL from being nominated for any Oscars? Will MP enjoy her cruise to Alaska? Will I bump into Danielle on the streets of NYC and tell him what I think of him? Will Djokovic win the grand slam? These are things of interest in 2012 :!:
 BJ you are just too much  I don't think The Voice will have Idol's ratings, BUT I do think the ratings will definitely be good. I have a lot of faith in Smash because the product is really, really good and so far both critics and those who have seen it have talked about it in very positive fashion in 99% of cases. I do think The Voice is way better than Idol in terms not simply of singing quality, but just of show per se. The coaches, who are vocal coaches and not simply judges, are ACTUAL major music stars, AND they are FUNNY. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine crack me up, especially when they gang up against Christina Aguilera or when they make fun of Cee-Lo. It's just a very different spirit in the show altogether. These are actually competent, major singing stars, and they just bring something to the show that no other talent show has. On top of that, the people they pick are picked solely based on their vocal performance as they don't see them when they perform, so that makes the whole thing more interesting from the start. And yes, it's experienced people as opposed to total newbies, so that leaves room for different things and a different approach. I agree if it doesn't lose too much of the Superbowl lead-in audience, Idol could be in trouble. Contrary to what happens on Idol, where the interesting part begins with the competition, the blind auditions for the Voice are a lot of fun to watch, so those who never watched it before may actually be drawn in. Who knows, I'm only interested in it having good numbers, not necessarily in it doing the same as Idol (I don't think it will). And of course there's Smash after the Voice and THAT I really think will succeed and it surely deserves it big time. Scripted TV is what I care about the most, and this is a great quality show (Ironically with a girl that Idol didn't reward as she deserved, because losing to Hicks in the final was frankly just a joke in my opinion, and I've got nothing against him at all... it's just that this girl is TOO GOOD). I really hope it gets the ratings it deserves.

 your "will this or won't this" list is just great BJ. Those ARE for real the matters of interest for 2012.

I know that Dunhill ad he did very well. There's no way anyone can tell me Henry Cavill isn't Bond in those commercials. It's got much more of a Bond vibe in a 30-sec commercial than there has been in two movies with the Craigster so far. FACT, sorry.

No, to play Bond you have to be a Blonde Muscle bound Doorman, who's idea of
witty conversation is to say F**k after and before every other word.
What a class act Bond has Become.

As for those ad photos Simply Brilliant. IF ONLY.

It's a no brainer Ale :!: A no brainer :!: His look is a cross between Connery and Dalton. He and Jackman are perfect Bond specimens. Henry will be 30 in 2013. Lazenby was 29 when he did Bond, and Connery was 32. Look at all of the time that Eon has wasted already.............10 years.....    ........IF Cavill is not the 7th 007(assuming Jackman won't be asked), let's just give this franchise the air and let it rot. What say yee gang? We should not collectively endure a double dose of Eon stupidity again.

I never thought about it but you're right that Henry Cavill is a cross between Connery and Dalton. Plus some Pierce. And you're absolutely right he and Hugh Jackman are perfect Bond specimen. I don't even want to think about another foul piece of casting after Craig, frankly. If that happens I will just give up the franchise, another 10 years like these with Craig?! Hell, no. I do think though that the next one will definitely be a more classic Bond. Especially if Skyfall keeps going in the dangerous direction they've taken .

BTW this is the video of the Dunhill ad those photos were taken from:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mpgED5ZxUY

The two guys who are casting for a freaking AD have a much clearer idea what Henry brings in and how to cast Bond than the Bond producers themselves. Because what they describe and the qualities they list just scream JAMES BOND. Anyone telling me Henry isn't James Bond in this ad, I'll just laugh at them. An no, he doesn't need to even say anything, because he just HAS IT. That IT factor, allure, aspect, style that it takes to be James Bond. (and note that now he is also RIPPED because of Superman, but his shape in this video to me is the perfect one to be Bond, still muscular but more lean).

Would Barbara Broccoli pick Cavill to be Bond? She chose Daniel Craig and would maybe pick another rough looking actor.
