Aw, thanks for the thoughts. I hate cruises and surely I wouldn't take one in my own countrybjmdds wrote:She had better not been on that tug boat.oscartheman wrote:Where is Ale?Not one of those escaping that boat I trust.
In other lighter and more interesting news, I was reading a piece about Idris Elba talking about Bond (never gonna happen, but I do like him as an actor), and it seems like the Broccolis vain attempts to twist and turn news aren't bought by anyone anymore. Not only people (of course) don't believe the whole "oh Craig is going to be here forever thing", but also the article says "Don't rule anyone INCLUDING HENRY CAVILL out just yet". Interesting how his name is now back into play in what certainly isn't Bond press.
So see? Nobody's buying the EON spin doctors stuff anymore. In addition to his aforementioned comments, Elba also spoke briefly with journalists at the Golden Globes about his possibly becoming Daniel Craig’s successor to the 007 throne. Here’s what he had to say:
“There was a huge rumor that once Daniel Craig finishes playing Bond that they were looking for someone different and my name was in that mix. And I answered a bunch of questions and the bottom line is of course, I’d be honoured to play the part if it comes my way.”
Elba previously made it clear that he’s simply interested in portraying a new cinematic incarnation of James Bond, rather than playing “a black version” of the iconic secret agent. Craig is reportedly being considered to portray 007 for five more films, following the release of Skyfall later this year, but that deal is far from set in stone; not to mention, there’s been no word as to whether or not Craig actually wants to continue wearing the Bond suit for that long.
In other words: don’t count out Elba or any other rumored candidates (like Henry Cavill and Michael Fassbender) as contenders to eventually take on the title of Mr. Bond just yet.
Exactly. Not to mention the one non Kryptonian guy who is a protagonist ends up HELPING him (it's Chris Meloni playing him). And, Superman's enemies in the movie are Zod and Faora. Plus, in the comics and in the toons, government and police DID fire against him (and Spiderman as well) at first, so this is just faithful to the original story. Let's not forget this is a "How it all began" tale. Not a movie with him being an established protagonist of people's lives already. The superman story has some US government trying to keep tabs on Superman who wouldn't a all powerful being shows up out of nowhere with no known weaknesses the government has to try to neutralize it. I don't think it will be all that big a part of the story.

San Diego to Seattle. which is only a 2 hours or so plane ride. We're going to get there the day before though-to do a little bit of sightseeing. I've never been to Seattle before so it'll be a lot of fun. I am going to go to the original Starbucks location!
And salmon..One of my favorite fishes and especially delicious smoked.

MMMM wild smoked salmon... MMMM!! Love. Oh I am not one that worries about cruises, I just flat out don't like them. I have been on boats many times and that's exactly why I don't like to spend many nights on them... space and hygiene become questionable. LOL I love being at sea but sharing space with all those people and being stuck always in the same space, even if it is a massive cruise ship, is not for me. I want to enjoy sea and what I truly do enjoy is going out at sea to bathe or find a new nice small beach to spend the day at and then come back for the night... the way I tan on a boat is priceless! LOL (yes I DO SUNBATHE. I'd rather be happy, good-looking and tanned than miserable, less good-looking and pale LOL Yes I do use very good lotions that protect my skin and never below 15 European SPF, which equals 20 US SPF as for some reason you guys have lower standards for filters than we do so our SPF 15 which is medium equals instead SPF 20 in the US which is medium-high. Never got the whys and hows of this LOL).bjmdds wrote:Teryaki style too, and wild onlykatied wrote:San Diego to Seattle. which is only a 2 hours or so plane ride. Whoa. Meantime, the Spiderman musical situation has gotten REALLY nasty.

And speaking of musicals, I have re-watched the "Smash" pilot (premieres on NBC Feb. 7) yesterday as it was finally available for download. It is absolutely wonderful. And seen as Katharine McPhee can also act and I LOVE her style and looks... I'd like to see her as Bond girl with Henry as well one day. (just watch the scene when she pretends to be Marylin seducing the director and you'll get what I mean. PURE Bond girl class!)

It could not happen to a more inane drone like him. He is yesterday's news.
Being blue eyed I must watch the sun exposure for I burn, not tan. Those who tan have no idea what we 'burners' go through after a day in the hot sun.

I forgot to wish Frosty a Happy Birthday!
I would really love to have him around more... I remember his posts even over at AJB and always enjoyed reading his views. I hope he (and Skywalker as well) comes back soon!
